Also, it doesn't seem possible to see two sets of tags at the same time - is this a glitch?

Lightroom :: How To Import Videos For Tagging
Jan 8, 2013I would like to get a brand new 4TB drive to place all of my home videos and photos. I'm trying to decide if I should keep the photos and videos on separate smaller drives or on this single 4TB drive. Also I'm rying to decide if I should import the videos into Lightroom for tagging.
1. Would you recomend using a single drive for all of your photos and videos (I will be using a second drive to backup everything)? Does this slow down LR or cause any other potential issues?
2. Are there any issues with importing tons of videos files ranging anywhere from a few MB to hundreds of GB into LR for tagging?

Apr 11, 2012I have a modest collection [19,500] that has a good number of same images but in different folders; need a way to find these duplicates based on image only [not by metadada, nor by file name, etc.].
Like an image recognotion function that could take a selected JPG and then scan the collection and ID any duplicates and where located.
Chasing these down manually is mission impossible; big issue is that same photo has different name in different folders.

Nov 28, 2013For some reason images in the library module aren’t as sharp compared to the develop module. If I’m in develop images are nice and sharp but as soon as I select the library you can see the image quality drop and image becomes less blurry!

Feb 7, 2014Sharpening applied in develop module is not shown when switching back to library module. It looks the problem occurs when having size to "FIT". With 1:1 there seams to be no issue. Export also looks fine in 1:1.
I use Mac 10.9.1, LR5.3, Nikon NEF 24Mbit from D600.
I hope this is a way to get support from Adobe.

Jan 26, 2013I am running LR4 ver4.3. All of a sudden I receied an error message stating cannnot switch to module. I have tried all the usual stuff before going out to the web to look for fixes. On adobe's site they recommended 6 things which I did exactly as instructed and still nothing..I am running iMac mountain lion and everything on my computer is up to date.

Aug 25, 2010Last week one of my Lightroom databases had a size of 400MB. After I installed some new hardware components last weekend I continued to work in that same database and three days later the size had increased up to 800MB. I didn't import any new images. I just worked on several files, added some Adjustment Brushes and created 1:1 previews for a small part of the images in this catalog.
What is causing this increase in file size? Which info is actually stored inside these lrcat-files? What about the History, where is that info stored? Can I create a new catalog from scratch and keep the settings and changes, using Export as Catalog?

Nov 18, 2013I am creating a beam system. I click the "beam system" button on the structure panel. However, it then goes into sketch mode without stopping to allow me to select "automatic beam system" and/or "Tag on Placement." Fortunately, I can see that "automatic beam system" is already selected in the split second that flashes before going to sketch mode.
However, I do not have the opportunity to select the "Tag on Placement." I am really new to Revit and thus I am wondering if there is a different way to possibly turn on the tagging since the way I know is not an option.

Maya :: Facial Rig Using Joints
Apr 30, 2013I recently began using Unity at work, exporting from Maya does not allow me to keep Blend Shapes or Deformers (not even by doing a Geometry Cache, Unity does not read any of that) and wanted to test out how to make a facial rig using joints in case I ever need one.I have seen demos using 3D Studio Max and I see the gist of it is to create a round joint hierarchy around the mouth and eye, mimicking the edge flow. The place where I got stuck is when I saw a NURBS controller in Max move a parent joint without affecting the children joints. I know how to move a parent joint without affecting its children (press Insert) but not how to set a constrain to do the same in Maya. If I use a parent constrain or direct parenting moving the parent joint drags all the children along.
How can I get a constrain to affect only the parent joint and not its children?

i5 m450 @ 2.40ghz
win7
4gb memory
approx 200 gb of free hd space
running pse8 with approx 39,000 images, very small amount of video clips.
people recognition and auto analyze are turned off.
The issue is that when adding tags and captioning to multiple files the application slows down and sometimes freezes for short amount of time.
Would installing additional ram totaling 8gb useful or does ram play any role in the performance of the application?

In that feature window, there is an option to add a custom text "tag" to the images to deter copying by others. I type in the text I want and complete everything there, however, when I click OK and make the album, it does not add the "tag"....when the images 'pop' up in PS as it goes through them all and creates the album, you can see that it adds the tag, but when the album is complete, NO TAG
