Im looking for a tutorial on how to integrate to photos of facial features in to one.There are plenty of them doing the rounds at the moment.For example the one of bin laden/bush is an example of the work I am attempting to do.Another is one of a soccer players face coming through on shreks face.Below is a link to that pic to give you an idea of what Im looking for.
View 9 RepliesSo as I said in the title, when my third monitor is on (which is hooked up to my i5's integrated graphics photoshop crashes a lot.
When I go to my Device Manager and disable it, photoshop workes flawlessly.My main videocard is a Radeon 6970 2gb, so it has no problems running photoshop alone. The processor seems to just get in the way.
I run a studio and use photoshop extensively. I took a picture of two toy cars and photoshoped the rest.

View 5 Replies View RelatedIs there a trick to pasting a pixel-perfect vector image from Illustrator into Photoshop as a smart object, and not introduce a bunch of anti-aliasing that was not in the original file? My images are perfectly aligned with the pixel grid in Illustrator, and the pixel preview shows them correctly.
This page is useful for dealing with vector shape layers, but the techniques he talks about don't work for smart objects. Strangely, he says he doesn't have a problem with smart objects, but I do.
Here is an example of what I'm talking about: a simple 13x13 pixel image in Illustrator turns to crap in Photoshop when pasted as a smart object (I know an image as simple as this could be pasted as a shape layer, but the real images I'm working with are much more complex, and cannot be pasted as simple shape layers).
I'm using Photoshop CS4.
Using Vista 64 Viewing PSP files with explorer has proven to be a pain. I have installed Fast Picture Viewer and the PSP file handler and none do anything. I have folder options setup correctly. With X2 I had no problems but starting with X4 and now X5 I have to guess what the file is by the name. I only save PSP files when in layers. PSD don't show either when in layers but do show as a single file (not PSP though). There must be some way to see a thumbnail. I can't even see them from within PSPX5 itself while in Edit mode until I open it up. Why does Corel not make at Codex so we can view their own product properly. Also I know I can browse using the Manage section of PSP but prefer not too as it has alway been too buggy, I only use the edit section.

I have tryed clone stamping and brushes in different modes, and smudging.
Let's just say, I failed.
I have a large picture that has ballpoint ink written on part of it. I had no trouble getting the background edited since it was basically the same color. I did end up cloning two different parts of the background and covering it twice to get a blended effect which worked great.
The problem is facial tones. There is ink covering the neck area on the left and the right and the head is at an angle. I haven't been able to pick a color or gradient that works. I tried to clone a different area of the face but that didn't work either. Then I zoomed way in and got each square (pixel?) to show up but it would take me hours to color in each one and there isn't any part of the neck that isn't covered in ballpoint ink so I can't even pick the right skin color/tone.
I downloaded a Gimp program but honestly since I don't know what all those tools are, I don't know which one to use to get it right so I'm hoping someone here can say "use this for this and that for that" so I don't have to trial and error each tool/effect.
Or, if there's another free photo editing program that's easier to use, point me in that direction.
I'm running photoshop cs3 on XP. Does anyone Know how to change the color or I should say the grayscale of facial features on a photo without changing the texture or anything else. These photo are all grayscale.
For instance if I take a photo and invert it all the grayscale is changed. The hair might be lighter, the nose darker, the eyes somewhere inbetween. Of coarse a perfect negative is made. But lets say I want to lighten the nose a bit without changing its texture or anything else about the nose. And I want it all to blend together just as it was done when the photo was initially inverted ....
How do people put makeup on them using photoshop? and i got ps 7

Also how do you change the skin into a pale complex?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently began using Unity at work, exporting from Maya does not allow me to keep Blend Shapes or Deformers (not even by doing a Geometry Cache, Unity does not read any of that) and wanted to test out how to make a facial rig using joints in case I ever need one.I have seen demos using 3D Studio Max and I see the gist of it is to create a round joint hierarchy around the mouth and eye, mimicking the edge flow. The place where I got stuck is when I saw a NURBS controller in Max move a parent joint without affecting the children joints. I know how to move a parent joint without affecting its children (press Insert) but not how to set a constrain to do the same in Maya. If I use a parent constrain or direct parenting moving the parent joint drags all the children along.
How can I get a constrain to affect only the parent joint and not its children?
Im trying to reconstruct a face using the skull..I have marked the skull with the tissue depths of the face by placing depth markers(cylinders) in each of the areas in the face..what is the best way to fill in the skin?

I know blend shapes won't work for games, but I'm planning to do mmo's anyways so I'll never need a complicated joint setup for faces... but as far as film, what works better?

So i have set up a facial control panel, using blend shapes and driven keys, but i need it to follow my character. If i parent it to the head, i doesn't follow when i grab the skeleton and move the character around, and if i bind it to the neck joint, i am not able to use the control panel, because the movement of the controls are locked, since they're binded to a joint.

I started to get this strange error with my Photoshop when making a new document in Photoshop and got the following error: "cannot initiate Photoshop because Photoshop cannot create any more windows".
I thought the easiest thing to do would be to reinstall (Photoshop needs reinstalling extremely often unfortunately), but now when I try and open the program it just give an alert beep and closes back up. Even though I rarely use ImageReady, I opened that up to check and it does the same behavior.
Can anyone tell me what color settings I need to set in photoshop in order to avoid this from happening? It only happens once in a while and I don't know what I've done to fix it or screw it up. What happens is that when I'm in photoshop and I do a "save for web" my document jumps to image ready and when viewing '2 up' for optimization purposes and comparison, I realize that the original view is actually duller in color and does not look like the original in photoshop. The blacks are definitely not as black.
View 1 Replies View Relatedwhen I got my first Macintosh IICX and all of my MacPaint clip art. I don't want to get rid of the clip art because since I'm still using a black ink printer and not upgrading to a color one, the clip art looks nice in newsletters and the like.
Up until this time I had been using SuperPaint which had the New Superbits editing plug-in to refine the pictures so they had the smoother and cleaner lines instead of looking jagged. With my new computer and printer, I'm also getting Photoshop CS packaged with Adobe Creative Suite Premium, which I have never used before. Since I have not received my order yet, I was wondering if anyone could tell me whether Photoshop has the capability of improving the older MacPaint clip art like SuperPaint did with the New SuperBits editing plug-in. Over the past two days, I have been trying like crazy to back-up my pictures with SuperPaint and then re-saving them with Graphic Converter. It's been so incredibly slow that I thought I would go ahead and ask you, the experts, if Photoshop can also improve the quality of my older MacPaint clip art or if I should continue to back-up my clip art like I have been doing.
I have just got back from the Elbow gig and pulled the images off the card. They load up in Bridge but don't have actual picture thumbnails. They are named correctly, ie: IMG_3483.CR2 but they won't open!? Error message says 'Could not complete your request because Photoshop does not recognise this type of file'
I could see them on the back of the camera.
mac users... i did a software update the other day and I noticed that there was an update for ACR. Could it have been something to do with that? And why can't I find ACR in my Applications?

View 3 Replies View Related of Adobe Photoshop v6.0.1 (quite old, I know, but it do all I want and on my old HW I did not plan/want to use any more recent version, because they are HUGE and with just a little preferences trick, I did not need to reinstall my PS - ever ), yet as Czech user, I need my software to type some special characters as well. These are looking like this:

Now the only problem is, that some of them PS just refuse to type. Seven small and seven caps are just wrong. See the line "for PS:"...
I battled the problem even by editing the fonts itsels, because that seems to work with Adobe Illustrator, yet this also cause the edited fonts to be useless in another programs. So I looked deeply and in the Adobe settings in directory Fonts / Reqrd are directory CMaps and perhaps editing the character map used will be better and usable solution? how to do it or even determine with file from the 96 files in the CMaps directory are right now used by Adobe Photoshop?
Everytime I open my CS6, it always show " Could not initialize Photoshop because the preferences file was invalid (it has been deleted)" I reinstalled it but it is still popping out.
View 10 Replies View Relatedwhen I try to save a tagra file with a alpha channel in photoshop 7 the box for the alpha channel is greyed out, with an warning sign next to it, and the line below stating "file must be saved as a copy with this selection" When I examine the saved file the alpha channel is not there!
Has anybody got any idea why?
My old version of photoshop 6, allows you to save alpha channels!
