View 2 RepliesI have been trying to get the program to recognize the my camera. Adobe help says my camera is supported, but there is no information as to the specific steps that should be taken to set up tethering to a PC.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen will Adobe LR5 support Fujifilm XT1?
View 4 Replies View RelatedThe camera is listed as supported by L/r 5.2 but I am informed the RAW files can not be loaded.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have read a lot of comments about the quality of output for Fujifilm X raw files, and how poor it is. When compared with Canon raw file processing I agree that the standards for X trans raw files are significantly under par. I would like to know if adobe are redeveloping their support of fujifilm support for these formats? I'm not looking to snipe at adobe. Just want some honest answers so I can make some decisions as I'm now an exclusively X user.
View 1 Replies View RelatedFirst of all, I'm very happy the new version of Lightroom handles FujiFilm X-E1 RAW (RAF) files fast and efficiently.
But I have a feeling the colours aren't quite right. The X-E1, and its brothers, are known for their incredible colour reproduction and wide dynamic range in a compact format. When shooting native JPEG's with, or without shadow compensation settings in the camera, the resulting JPEG files has a clear FujiFilm identity. The colours and luma and are very even all the way from the shadows to the highlights. But when loading a RAW (RAF) file into Lightroom (v4.4) the colours, still untouched, aren't at all the same, and not the luma either. Shadows are harsher, the skin tones and most colours actually are a tiny bit off. Overall I would urge you to study this in detail and give us an optional Camera Calibration profile or something, that will give FujiFilm justice here.
Does this make any sense to you, or am I just being picky here?
Lightroom 4 is constantly put down as being very poor at rendering Fujifilm X Trans RAW files. Fujifilm claims to have assisted Adobe with this new sensor design yet LR falls down hard. Why is that? Will it get better or are we stuck with what LR can do now?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm using a Fuji X100S since last week (after many years of Nikon through D200, D300, D700 and now D800, and also experimenting with Olympus' OM-D and a Sony RX100).
The Fuji makes awesome pictures, super sharp, especially in the center, has fantastic low light performance and since it looks great and is much smaller but still features a view finder I find myself using it much more than the big though excellent D800.
However, in terms of color reproduction (I'm testing this by shooting out of the window and then comparing the results after conversion of the raw images in LR 4.4) I found the color cast of the Fuji images lacking. Whilst the Nikon raw images (either when applying the Adobe Standard or the preferred Neutral in Camera calibration settings) have a balanced green/red tint and a mostly accurate WB in >90% of the images, I find myself correcting almost 100% of the Fuji images by dialing down the red tint and the dialing up the temperature (ie, toward warmer temperatures). Interestingly, while also the JPEGs coming out of the Fuji look the same (ie, have a red tint and cool temperatures) - both raw and JPEG images when viewed on the small LCD on the back of the Fuji have neither red tint nor cool temperatures, they simply look "right" when compared with what I'm seeing when looking out of my window.
how to rectify this for all future imported Fuji raw images? So far, I couldn't find a setting in LR 4.4 that would automatically reduce tint and increase temperature by a set relative amount (e.g., -20% and +20%, respectively).
I'm working on Macs (iMac and Retina Macbook) running 10.8.3
They will not show up in PS. I run a Mac under Mavericks 10.9.1 with all the latest updates for ACR, LR and PSCC.
MacBook Pro early 2011.
Is it that the files are not supported yet?? In LR, the lens profile is recognized... (Fuji X100S)
Fujifilm X-Pro1 with pictures taken in RAW does not open in LT 4.

View 2 Replies View Relatedsince I can't seem to find any definitive information on this... how's Lighroom 4 dealing with 14-bit raw NEF files (coming from a D7000 in this case) when it is converting to DNG? Is the entire 14-bit colour information being kept or is there some sort of loss or conversion going on?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have done some heavy editing on my RAW file with numerous Adjustments Brushes and Spot Removals. Now that I'm done I want to try making a Black And White version using the standard B&W conversion in LR 5.3. Here comes the strange part....the area that I have done all the editing in remains in color while the rest of the shot gets converted to B&W. In other words, LR 5.3 fails to convert to B&W on heavily edited areas!? As you can see in the image the top left area is blue wihle the rest of the image has been converted.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI recently converted from PC to Mac; downloaded and installed LR4, and it quickly recognized my photos and photo folder structure. Also, apparently each individual keyword has been imported. However, 3 problems:
1. no photos have keywords assigned to them
2. the keyword nested structure (keywords within other keywords) did not transfer, so they are all listed alphabetically
3. I don't see any history on the edited photos, so am not sure if I have originals (unedited) or edited. If I have edited photos, can I go back and re-edit (non-destructive editing in LR)?
Mac OS 10.6.8
Lightroom 4.4
My Ricoh GR creates DNG files that have previews in the Finder. But because the file sizes are big (and I don't need them so big), in Lightroom I reconvert them to Lossy DNG (using compatibility with Camera Raw 7.1 or later). Now, after this conversion, these new DNGs don't have any previews in the Finder anymore.
So, the problem must be with the DNG converter in Lightroom!
Is there any advantage to doing black and white conversion using CS5 rather than LR 4.1?
View 2 Replies View RelatedConverted this morning to LR 4 and hundreds of my developed photos in all Collections now have purple streaks / banding / ghosting. I did not update to the 2012 developing engine so the same LR 3 sliders are still there. I tried a few of them with the new engine and new sliders and the purple banding is still there, and I could not adjust them away except to slide the tint slider to the left, which is a bad effect (makes the photos green). This is probably happening in one of ten photos. . I went back to LR 3 and the shots are perfectly developed.

View 1 Replies View RelatedLightroom 4 just converted all my images from LR3. The problem is that I can't look up anything in the "All Photographs" catalog. Although all photos are available in the folders below, all the collections are intact, the All Photographs catalog shows 30K images, and all other functions seem normal, clicking on it shows a blank screen with this message:Click "import..." button to beginBegin what? The import button takes you to the normal import screen with "source" as being the first step. Does it want me to pick all the photographs that are already in the catalog, so that it can... import them? The catalog already has all this information. Right now the only way I can do a search on the catalog is to do it from a folder or collection. I need to search the entire catalog!

I a thinking of upgrading my LR to the new 5. I was able to try Irdient new upgrade for X-Trans and my file are so much more crisp and detailed then they are in LR with your support for the X-Trans. Are you going to upgrade you support to match those of Irdient. I am sure you have read the reviews and have used the product for your own edificaiton. If you are not, I may have to switch, my business depends on my best product.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am converting my proprietary RAW files on my hardrive and LR4 catalogue to DNG files for the main reason of gaining extra space on my hard drive. I have ticked the 'delete original files after successful conversion' and they no longer appear on my hard drive, only the DNG files do but the space remaining on my hard drive is shrinking? Why is my drive not reading the extra space that should be now available?
View 5 Replies View RelatedOne of the great features of the Sony NEX-7 is that the NEX-7 makes automatic lens corrections for vignetting, chromatic aberration and distortion problems. These corrections are written to the file and the preview. However, when converting these images from ARW to DNG the correction data seems to be lost, and the images revert to their uncorrected state. This requires all images to then be re corrected with the Adobe lens profiles, which is both tedious, an extra step, and also seems to produce results that are somewhat less optimal than the original corrections made by the camera.
Should not the ACR Converter and Lightroom retain the lens corrections made by the camera?
Does pse11 support xpro1 raw files ?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am unable to open .raf files created by my new Fujifilm x100s camera. I have PSE 10. According to Help --> Updates, I have the most current versions of everything installed. My ACR Version is 6.7.0.339.
I see references tro Adobe Camera Raw version 7 but it looks like that version is not compatible with PSE10, only PSE11.
Sticking with PSE 10, what is the latest version of Adobe Camera Raw that I can use and that will support opening .raf files from the Fuji x100s? I'm afraid to attempt installation of ACR 7 without assurancesd that it will work with PSE10.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have just upgraded from PSE10 to PSE12 and now when I use the Slide show (full screen) in organizer with Fujifilm Raw files it take about a minute and a half to load up and same again when you zoom in. Is there any way of speeding this up in PSE12? It was slow in PSE10, but it did take over a minute in total.
View 21 Replies View Relatedthe current raw converter in LR5, Bridge CS6 and Photoshop CS6 produces magenta or green pixel errors on grey ridges (e.g. mountain structures).
In Nikons NX View 2 does this problem not occur.
export a MAX file into OBJ or STL. The reason I can't do it is that the file doesn't open for me in 2010 or 2011. In the 2012 version, I get an Out-of-memory error. Am guessing because the original file has been done in the 3DS Max 2012 64-bit version. So if you can do this odd job, am willing to pop 25 USD for the same.
