Using 3.2 lightroom, when I zoom in on a tif image it is fuzzy. If I click on the next image over, then click back it reloads and is sharp.Is there a way to force a reload without clicking to another image and then back.When doing same on a raw file (NEF in my case) I do not have this problem.
View 1 RepliesAfter the OS X 10.8.5 update on my current generation 27' iMac moving 1:1 images results in very low resolution for those areas I am moving to with as long as a two second delay before the image snaps back into full resolution. Not only that but when it snaps back into full resolution you see a shift in alignment and a snapping into place with the nearby area that was already in full resolution. This is awful and is occuring with Lightroom 5 and 5.2.
My iMacs specs are the current generation 27" iMac, i7 3.4 Ghz, 32GB RAM, and the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680MX 2GB running OS X 10.8.5.
I did not have this issue with OS X 10.8.3.
When I am in Survey View and hit the Z key, some of the previews are blurry. The same thing happens in Grid View. However, in Loupe View, the images are fine when I the 'Z' key. Using Survey View would make things go faster when making my picks.
I tried rendering 1:1 but the returns a mesage that says renders are up to date and rendering was done.
I have had trouble that all of my images are fuzzy when i convert any image from any program in photoshop. i do not ahve an preset filters running to my knowledge,

I have to repeatedly copy and paste from PaintShop Pro X4 into Word 2007.
When I choose the default paste, the pictures are fuzzy in Word
1) this is not a problem with other programs, such as Irfranview, as the source, instead of PaintShop Pro X4.
2) if choose "Paste Special" in Word-->bitmap, pictures are sharp. It is the default paste that is the problem.
3) I do not want to have to use "Paste Special" all the time
This is rather odd, to say the least. Why should the same image captured by the Windows clipboard from PaintShop Pro X4 vs Irfranview behave differently when pasted into Word 2007?
When zooming in on one image it has the same effect on all other loaded images (C5)
View 2 Replies View Relatedi've got a strange problem: when zooming images in the GIMP (2.8.2, installed from archlinux [extra]), viewing them larger than the size they are being automatically zoomed to by default, they break up into unconnected, rectangular tiles.
moving (panning) them around with the mouse so that they partially leave the screen brings those parts back to be displayed properly. means i have to 'swivel' the image across all borders to get it to display properly.
in addition, applying scissors or path tool leaves artefacts on the image that can be removed the same way.
i've noticed this first with the development version of GIMP (2.9, compiled from GIT) and thought those were the new GIMP's growing pains -- but then i noticed the same happening with the stable version (2.8).
i've tried switching to an earlier version of xf86-video-ati and to an earlier kernel, but neither rectifies the problem. i also tried different options in /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/ 20-radeon.conf, whith the same result, i.e., none.
seems to have something to do with the image being refreshed, or not being refreshed, but which part of the system is at fault baffles me.
i'm using arch +testing, and here are my system's details:

When I open a large image (one larger in resolution than my monitor), it opens in a small window on the far right of my screen. When I move it to the middle of my screen, resize it so I can see more of it and zoom in again, the window snaps back to the far right.
View 3 Replies View Related I do not get the same results with grayscale images reproduced as halftones. While they are not true grayscale prints, the inkjet prints of grayscale images that I print from Photoshop always look good.
However when I see the final publication 20-30% of the halftone images will look dull. Is there some way to better visualize with Photoshop what a grayscale image will look like when printed in halftone?
I have a set of images in 32 bit .hdr format, which I would like to turn into 8 bit png files. Specifically, they are 6 sides of a cubemap, which join together seamlessly, and still need to do so after the conversion.
I've played around with the options in the HDR toning dialogue and have a setup I really like the look of, based around the 'local adaptation' method. The trouble is, if I apply those settings to each of the 6 images individually, they are no longer seamless (some have higher/lower contrast and brightness etc), presumably because these settings are 'relative to' the image being processed.
how can I apply the same kind of operations to each of these images (so they remain seamless), mimicking what the 'local adaptation' method is doing?
The specific settings I have changed in the dialogue are the edge glow radius and strength, the 'detail', and the colour vibrance and saturation.
In Loupe view, which shows a large image on the screen, I zoom, yet I don't know what happened.
Did I zoom up 25% or 50%.
I have searched my entire library for a particular keyword. The results are onscreen now and number several hundred shots. I now want to show just the jpg versions and ignore the cr2. Can I filter the results somehow?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm using LR 4.1. When in survey mode, if I select an image and hit Z the resulting 1:1 image is not sharp. If I zoom in or out and back to 1:1 it becomes sharp. This is not a problem in Loupe mode. It's not a delay issue - it never becomes sharp unless I change the zoom level. I have 1:1 and standard previews pre-generated.

When using the Publish function, LR sometimes publishes a number of photos with no problem, sometimes only the first one, sometimes it publishes but says the operation failed, and sometimes it behaves like mission accomplished when nothing published at all!
I have a problem with LR4 and smart collections which are not showing real results. As an example see the following picture:
The collection is showing 13 results, but on the right LR4 reports that there are no photos in selected smart collection. Similar results I have for several other smart collections, which are either showing some files which are not related to the collection, or they are not showing at all the expected result (which can be found via filter). I was thinking about a possible issue - the results are maybe calculated and require some long time to process, but if I will leave this over the night, then there is no difference (the smart collection above has 2 rules, the amount of photos in catalog are 19k).
Search results in LIGHTROOM exported as text file.
I want to seach LIGHTROOM and then get a text file of the results of a search. I find noting on this.
After ugrading to LR 3.5 I have not be able to print an image. Each time I move to the Print Module the systems crashes with the error message "Adobe Light Room has stopped working". My viedeo card is an ATI Radeon HD 5570 and I have no problems printing from any other program including Qimage. Windows 7 64bit updater shows all updated to the OS have been made. All the other functions in LR are working normally. Only the print functions seems to be failing.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to synchronize my folders, and LR4 is consistently crashing when it attempts to display the "Import Results" window. This is on Win7 Pro, using LR4 64-bit. A portion of the pix being imported are successfully stored in the catalog, and the remainder are not. When I restart LR and attempt to synchronize again, the process repeats: find the new pictures (the ones that weren't stored in the previous attempt), start importing them, reach apparent 100%, start to display "Import Results" window and immediately crash.
I'd like to reach the point at which no pix remain to be imported.
export search results as text or tab delimited file is this possible.

I have tried for the life of me to figure this one out...why is my text ALWAYS fuzzy when I print it out, no matter what I do? It's not too bad but bad enough. The ad is for a retirement community and I'm concerned with the seniors having issue with reading the text. This ad is going in a news paper. I ran a differant one last year and had the same issue. Even though the message got across to the public, the ad still was not up to how I wanted it.
