Mar 5, 2012i noticed that photoshop cs5 video card gpu works better under windows 7 32bit then xp 32bit (gpu come off but i enabled and restart photoshop cs5) i did notice a better performance of xp sp3 then xp sp2, maybe i'm wrong
i used the same ati drivers by the way are there ati drivers that works better for photoshop cs5 then others?

Nov 25, 2012Way back in the Windows ME and XP days I had purchased PS 5 and then a PS 7 upgrade. This worked well on the various computers I used but now I have a new Win8 laptop and can't get it to recognize the PS 5 application (and thus cannot install the PS 7 either).
Is there a way to get my jurassic Photoshop to work on Win8? I can't afford to buy a CS and have become quite familiar with the PS7 so I'd hate to lose that too.

Aug 7, 2010I have been having problems updating my Corel Draw 11 Graphics Suite for use on a computer running Windows 7 Pro, 64 bit. It worked fine on the previous computer I was using, which was running Windows XP Pro, 64 bit. I have been to the download site for all applicable patches and service packs for Corel 11, namely, SP1, SP2, Draw11SVGUpdate, and CGS11savefix.exe. When I run the SP1, I get an error message: "the file C:/Programfiles(x86)CorelCorelGraphics11FiltersCRLPDFImport110.dll is not a valid previous version and could not be upgraded" The only response choice I was offered was "OK" and this exits the setup.
When I try to open either Corel Draw 11 or Corel Photo Paint 11, I get the following message: "Corel PHOTO-PAINT(R) [or DRAW] has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." The only "option" I'm given is to push the "Close program" toggle and exit. Windows has never contacted me via email to tell me of any solutions.
I have been using the Corel Draw Graphics Suite for many years - first buying the Full Version of CD5, then upgrading to 8, then upgrading to 11. I have the original "upgrade" discs for 11 which have installed just fine up to now, and I really do not need the extensive features of CGS X5 (which, by the way, works perfectly in the "trial download" form I put onto the computer in question!). I was SO hoping to get the updates on 11 installed so it will work on Win 7 Pro, rather than have to pay $200 for the upgrade to X5 "just" to gain the ability to run Corel DRAW and Corel PHOTO PAINT on this new computer. (By the way, that "just" is a relative term - if it's the only way to get a functioning program, I will have to upgrade - Corel DRAW and Corel PHOTO PAINT are the bedrock of our private printing press work!) Is there any way I can proceed with Corel 11?

Apr 1, 2012 I bought one of the new iPad 3’s (AKA The New iPad) and can’t get the latest version of iTunes to sync JPG’s with Windows 7 64 bit.
I have cleared the iTunes cache and reinstalled iTunes but nothing is working. To test it I transferred the same library to a Mac and it synced with the new iPad with no problems. After much trouble shooting I have narrowed it down to iTunes on Windows 7 64 bit is not working. I have tried this on a couple of different PC’s and also have an iPad 1 and 2. The iPad 2 sort of works but the 3 is terrible. Apple really hates Microsoft and makes no effort to develop for it or conduct quality control.
After escalating this with Apple Care I got to meet the engineer who works on this. After some research he admitted that iTunes does not work with JPG’s larger than 9K pixels per side. This upset me so I made an appointment with the Apple Genius Bar to complain. The option they gave me was to return my old iPad 1 and 2 for 100% cash refund on an Apple gift card.

May 9, 2010last week I purchased and installed CorelDraw X4. After I had watched the video tutorials I wanted to try out the preview function in the Windows Explorer which should work with Vista and Windows 7. A double click starts Corel X4 properly, but the preview or the thumbnail function doesn't work (message "no preview available"). Curiously the Corel paint Fotos work in the preview pane. Only cdr-files aren't previewed.
In the scrapbook the cdr files are displayed correctly.
how to activate this preview function?
