Lightroom :: Viewing Two Images At Once?
Jan 25, 2013I would like to view two images at once in Lightroom. The help says I should go to Window > Arrange. 'Arrange' does not appear as an item under the 'Window' menu.

Lightroom :: 4.4.1 - Using Images For Slideshow / Set Aspect Ratio 16 X 9 For Viewing On HD Television
Feb 23, 2014I have an folder with approx 500 photos that have been optimised in the Develop module (aspect ratio set at AS SHOT) and exported to photo lab for 2 x 3 prints. Now I need to use these same images for a slideshow and set an aspect ratio of 16 x 9 1920 x 1080 for viewing on HD Television. I do not want to change the AS SHOT aspect ratio of these images in the current folder. so first, this means I need to make a copy of this folder within Lightroom and second, change the aspect ratio to 16 x 9 for all images at the Quick develop module and complete in the slideshow module. The second part is no problem but how do you "copy" a folder of images in Lightroom OR alternatively can you make a virtual copy of a folder?

Oct 12, 2012Sometimes I take a screenshot from within L/R 3.6 and send it by email. Problem is the image name/date/size info. overlay spoils the image. I've looked all over L/R prefs etc but I can't see how to turn the info. off, assuming it's possible to do so?
I used to be able to import pics from my camera into a specific folder on my hard drive. That was until 2 weeks ago. Now my only choice is to import into the folders below. C. drive - where all my digi camera pics are - is no longer there. How do I get L/R import to recognize my hard drive again.
Lightroom :: Stops Allowing Viewing Of Large Images In Preview
Sep 9, 2012After uploading images from a card reader to LR 4.1 and 4.2, the option to review large images is present for the first 10-20 photo, then LR preview will only display a small image (the size of a thumbnail.). I can uplaod all the images from preview to the LR catalog. But then I have to go into the catalog and delete unwanted images.

Mar 22, 2012I had to have my hard drive replaced and Photoshop CS3 installed on the new drive. I am having a problem with viewing photos in Photoshop. When I click "Fit Screen" the photo is distorted with the top horizontal ruler being longer than the vertical. I thought that before when I clicked "Fit Screen" the proper and accurate proportion of length to width was maintained on the screen instead of having the entire screen filled.

Jun 30, 2008a way to make Photoshop (CS3) use "Resample" when displaying images on a zoom level less then 100%. In the default setting all pictures have jagged lines and aliasing effects which is quite annoying. I guess in a software like that, there should be a feature like this... But nothing seems to be documented.

Mar 17, 2012I normally shoot with my Nikon D3, But I recently borrowed a Canon. When viewing my Nikon Raw images in Bridge, I am able to see the Images. But when I try to view the Canon Raw Images, all I see are Icons. Is there a setting that allows me to see the Cannon Raw Images?

Aug 21, 2012I am new to the PrintShop ProX4 family. I just purchased my first PSPX4 software, even though I have been using AfterShot for quite sometime. My question is, how do I prevent PSPX4 from being my default program for viewing images and or pictures attached to my emails.
Prior to purchasing and installing PrintShop ProX4, all my pictures attached to my emails would open up under my Windows photo gallery. But now, they open up under my PrintShop Pro X4 program and since I am still learning the PSPX4, I would like to convert back to the Windows photo gallery.
Paint Shop Pro :: Viewing Multiple Images Simultaneously?
Aug 5, 2011I'm a new user of PSP X3, having upgraded from X2 and previously from X. When I used earlier versions, I could have numerous images open in the workspace, re-sizing, comparing, cross-cloning, etc. Now with X3 I can't seem to find any setting that will allow that same multiple image viewing. I've looked at the documentation but can't find any mention of this issue.
Am I just missing some checkbox or did Corel abandon this capability?
GIMP :: Viewing Images - No Thumbnail Preview Only List Shown?
Mar 6, 2011Downloaded Gimp last night, and when I opened up to view the images, I see only a list, not thumbnails. Gotta have thumbnails to see what exactly I'm looking at, regardless whether the images are named or numbered. don't Gimp have that option to change the viewing mode, like Windows?

Photoshop :: Viewing Images In CS5 - Shadow Areas Are Blocky And Banding Appears
May 15, 2012When I view my images in DPP they look perfect however the minute I open them in PScs5 they look terrible..... the colours in the shadow areas are blocky and banding appears....... I am guessing that PS is just not using the correct profile to open them but all the setting look sensible and match my friends version of PS. I am running Windows 7 on a PC with an ATI HD 6570 Graphics Card with version 12.3 drivers.

When I go to my Pictures file and try to open the photos i get the message: Photo Gallery Can't Open The Images Or Video Because The Format Isn't Supported Or You Don't Have The Latest Upgrade To Photo Gallery. Pictures from a small point & shoot work fine. I get the same results when importing using the camera Mfg's software.

Nov 2, 2012After reading many webpages and watching many tutorial videos about which color space to use, I get odd results. I understand that sRGB is more for web applications, and that Adobe RGB 1998 has a wider gamut, and that ProPhoto has the widest gamut of colors, particularly useful with printing.
However, in LR 4, when I export to jpeg as sRGB, Adobe RGB, and ProPhoto, the differences are very noticeable. sRGB looks the most vibrant, Adobe RGB looks flat, and ProPhoto looks dark with a greenish cast. I expected ProPhoto to look best, or is that only for printing, and I have to process differently?

Once I import and they are in lightroom I can but I want to be able to edit them larger to make sure I want to import. Lightroom :: Slight Color And Quality Shift When Viewing RAW Files For First Time In Library Module
Mar 1, 2013I have been shooting RAW for a while and have notice that after I import the images and then start to view them in the Library Module I will see a slight color and quality shift - almost looks like a white balance shift but not quite. I was thinking that perhaps there was some automatic preset being applied but I don't have any presets at all.
I am shooting with a Canon 1DX as well as 7D. I have not checked to see if I get this situation with the 7D, but I know for sure that I get it with the 1DX.
Today I was reviewing some images in Bridge and decided to open one of them in Camera RAW. At that time I discovered that the camera's Image Style Settings were available, Faithful, Standard, Portrait, etc. I noticed that the images did not have one of the camera styles applied to them but rather the Adobe Standard Style. At that point from within RAW I selected one of the camera's styles and bingo thats the kind of shift I am seeing when I first view an image in LR4 Library.
So as far as I can tell the RAW images are getting the Adobe Standard style applied in LR. I have no idea if this is a default behavior of if I have done something to cause it. I'm also thinking that perhaps LR does not necessarily apply the Camera's Styles automatically even though the particular style has been set in the camera -- perhaps is not imported as part of the metadata during the import and thus defaults to the Adobe Standard.
1. Should I expect LR4 to apply the Style as set from the camera automatically or not at all?
2. Can I prevent LR from applying the Adobe Standard Style and apply no style?
3. Can I cause LR to apply the Style as set in the camera for the particular image to be appied automatically upon import?
Lightroom :: Delete Duplicate Images And Install Images From Digital Photo Card
Mar 3, 2013Just installed Lightroom 4, more than 60000 images were imported. Many of them were duplicates, triplets and so on. I want to have a clean, unincombured library. Should I delete the 60000 images and reinstall the images from my photo digital cards or use the slow process of "X" out the unwanted images? I would like to start improving my images vs removing the unwanted images.

Dec 3, 2012I've been having problems selecting images in the library module when multiple images are in view (not down in the timeline, but in the main window). It seems sporadic with which ones it won't let me select, it somehow manages to be the ones that I need to click....!! I just literally can't click it as if it were an image I already imported or something, but it's not grayed out like that. I've been having to select a nearby image then use my arrow keys to navigate to and click the image I need.
