Lightroom :: Photo Routed Back To LR For Further Editing
Jul 5, 2013I'm a bit confused about the round trip process. If LR is non-destructive, what happens when a virtual copy photo is sent to Photoshop? I notice that Photoshop seems to be working on the original photo.
How then is photo routed back to LR for further editing? Does LR track editis made in PS?
Lightroom :: After Reinstallation How To Get Keywords Back With Each Photo
Jan 25, 2012Prior to replacemant of the mother board I did a backup of photos and data. But to start Lightroom again I had to reinstall Lightroom into the new hard drive.
Have got the photo files back and the list of keywords but they are not with the photos.
How can I restore the 2 or 3 keywords I had previously to each of the photos?

Dec 10, 2013I'm taking pictures as RAW+JPEG.I know that there is an importing-time option that treats such JPEG as a side-car. And, these JPEGs won't be shown in LR once imported.However, sometimes I want to see these JPEGs for comparison (DSLR body may do better post processing).
But, it seems no way to toggle the setting how JPEG+RAW should be treated, after importing.
Lightroom :: Library Search Filters Criteria Randomizes When Toggling Search On And Off
Aug 15, 2013I'm using Lightroom 5.2RC. Not sure if this started happening with the 5.2RC version or if it's been an issue for a while.
While in Library mode, when I choose a library search filter preset, say all 5 stars, and then toggle the filter off and on again, the search criteria randomizes to something wildly different than what I was just searching for, for example, adding text and metadata to the search queries when I only had star attributes selected a few seconds before.
I've experimented with turning the filter lock icon on and off and that seems to have no effect. Switching between folders in my catalog and toggling search off and on, results in the same random search criteria being generated.

Jul 2, 2012I've got a big beef with the new action toggling in Photoshop CS6. When an actioin is toggled 'off' this alert appears.
"This will toggle the state of all commands in this action. It is not undoable."
It is not a choice it's just a statement of fact, which I can ask not to be warned about again.
Implicit in this is that the state of the action when I turn it off may have some sub-actions on or off, however in this new version they all get turned off and then 'all' back on again. I want the action left in the state I choose it to be in at the time I disable it and be in the same state when I re-enable it.
This has wrecked my workflow, am I missing a new feature here, this seems broken to me.

May 22, 2009When I toggle the interface on/off it causes missing menu toolbar items and icons until I exit and restart Photoshop CS4. I know this can happen if problem filters are installed. So I have the latest Alien Skin filters installed and have already followed their AutoLayer2.8li file updates to resolve Windows Photoshop CS4 issues. I also have Luxology imageSynth 2.0 filter installed. So since all my filters are updated to CS4 compatible versions, I shouldn't have this problem but yet it occurs. I'm using WinXP SP2, 4 GB RAM, GeForce GTX 260 Core 216 with newest 185.85 driver. I have 3D canvas rotation turned on.

Aug 20, 2012This new behavior of PS in which you can press a key to select a certain tool, and then pressing the same tool again will select the next tool within that tool category. Is there a way to turn it off? Its making my workflow a mess at the moment. Since in the past I've never needed to depend on looking at what icon I'm using to know what tool is selected, now having to look every time to make sure the right sub-category tool is selected is getting unbearably annoying. I already had my key assignments directly linked to sub-category tools and my workflow was fast since I never had to check anything, I just had to press 1 button and thats it. Now I'm having to take an extra step thousands of times in one afternoon because I end up always not being on the right sub tool.
If I didn't have the 5D MKIII I'd just stick with CS4 but I'm cornered since CR7 is so much better than Canons DPP software.
AutoCAD LT :: Function Keys Not Toggling?
Dec 4, 2010I am running CAD 2007 LT. Old laptop runs windows XP. On black Friday I purchased a new laptop with windows 7. All is well except the F3 & F8 I am so used to aren't allowing me to toggle on off. I have discovered that the fn button (lower left) by the ctrl button will let me toggle 1 time but have to hit the fn each time then F3 or F8.

Jun 19, 2013Is there a way to toggle visibility of a corridor in a drawing where the model has been Xref'd into? The problem I am having is that we have one Model drawing that has a corridor.This Model is xref'd into multiple drawings. Not all drawings should show the corridor.
The only way I have found so far is to go into model and toggle the corridor on and off depending on which drawing I want to print or view. It creates problems when you want to run a Publish of multiple drawings because you always have to goof with the Model file. This seems a bit of a step back from being able to toggle visibility of objects in a drawing file with an xref atached and leaving it that way and ready to be printed at any time.

Nov 11, 2012After finally running out of space on my computer I've shifted my photo library onto an external hard drive. I did this outside of lightroom as I did not expect there to be too many complications
There is a general folder named "Photos" and within are the sub folders for the photos. I did a simple drag and drop from my computer to the hard drive and expected Lightroom to simple show the new directory in the folder panel.
What would be the simplest way to re-access the files since moving them to the new hard drive?
