In a slideshow, can I set a specific first and last photo and have the rest play randomly. This is different from an identity plate as an intro screen.
View 1 RepliesMy slideshows will not play, all I get is blank screen that will not exit, I have to go to task manager just to get out of it. My previews are slow and don't play right, and cuts the music out before done. I am using Lightroom 5 now, I used to not have problems at all, and then before I got Lightroom 5 I had trouble with my print module, and then now slideshow module, I need Lightroom for College, I am at a loss as to what to do next.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIn LR4 i didn't get any problem but with LR5 some functions linked to the slideshow turn to a "blank" screen.The problem appears when I try an impromptu slideshow in the library or a play, a preview in the slideshow section.
I reset the default setting in LR, I download the last driver for my graphic card but without success. With LR5.2 RC this is the same.
My O.S: Windows 7 - 64

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just upgraded from Photoshop Elements 9 to PSE 12. (Oddly PSE remains installed which was unexpected. Most apps that I upgrade replace their previous version). When I try to use the slideshow feature, usually while displaying the first photo, the program crashes. (It gives the error that the Organizer is closing.)
My OS is Windows 7 64-bit. Running as Admin makes no difference.
Other features - general navigation and editing are working OK. PSE 9 does not crash during a slideshow on the same machine.
Slideshow is one of my most commonly used features so I'm not impressed that I spent $80 to get a worse experience.
I've created a slide show and have attempted to insert an audio mp3 file. Audio file shows that it has been added to slide show but it wil not play.
I've added the mp3 multiple ways, by using the add media -- audio from element organizer as well as by add media ---audio from file but it won't play
MP3 plays fine when I click on it from the organizer.
I've tested the mp3's that came with elements 11 and they play fine. What's the deal?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have PSP X3...we are having a family reunion, and decided to create a DVD slideshow of past and present family members to show on a TV screen. The idea was to use a DVD player to play the slideshow, and hopefully be able to give out DVDs of the slideshow to family members at the reunion.
We have been able to create the slideshows using Project Creator: the slideshow consists of typical jpg files scanned using a typical scanner/printer of old photographs. The slideshow is a default .AVI container, which all 3 DVD players we have tried to use state they support AVI. However, none of the DVD players have been able to play the slideshow, saying "disc error", or "disc is not compatible for playing or recording".
My question is, do we need to use the actual Corel PSP X3 program, in order to make the slideshow work? We are able to connect a laptop to a widescreen TV for showing at the reunion, but this would kill our ability to hand out DVDs of the slideshow to family members, as they would 1) need a PC, and 2) need Corel PSP X3 in order to make the slideshow play.
Surely there should be a way to make the video play for typical DVD player support. We have used a Sony, Panasonic, and a Memorex DVD player, with the 1st two options being fairly new, DVR devices.
In the attached photo of a spread from album liner notes, you may be able to make out some handwriting (I've outlined the area in red.) I'd like that area to be easier to read than it currently is when printed in a book project I'm working on. How can I lighten that area so the handwriting is readable, without making it feel too bright, and have it still blend with the rest of it's side AND the other side of the spread?

I am very new to photography and Lightroom 3.4 64 bit. I have a photo of an apple on the table. I want to get the photo black and white (did that already). Now I want the apple it self to remain its own red color. How do I do that?
Also, I have this apple and its reflection is on the knife that is cutting the apple. How can I get that in color too?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've had a simple lisp I've been using for years that suddenly disappeared. It required that you identify a block name, tag name, and the value that you want the tag to be. All of this is performed via command line, so it is scriptable. Since I lost it, I've been experimenting with -attedit. This command comes frustratingly close to what I'm looking for, except it only appends an existing tag, or replaces a specific string within the tag; I can't get it to replace the entire tag, regardless of its value.

I have the entire frickin suite - But I must be just another dumb user. Which product do I use to QUICKLY make a slideshow (burn 2 DVD) of 200-300 photos? One of those where the pictures move around a little (zoom in, zoom out) Perhaps some random transitions. Do I need to go buy a Mac to do such a simple task? Or am I totally missing the "Simple Slideshow Wizard"?

View 6 Replies View RelatedWhen I import a short AVCHD or MPG (~ 1 min., 100 mb) into Premiere Pro CS6 or After Effects CS6, it plays great. When I import the same file into Photoshop CS6 on the same computer, it's jerky, even with sound off, frame skipping enabled, cached, and no other applications running.
System is a Core i7 with 8 gb RAM, 1.5 gb nVidia GeForce, Win 7 x64 and DirectX 11. All drivers ruthlessly updated.
I have a Pegasus R4 and an IMac 16G RAM.
Playback is not in real time with 10 bits uncompressed 4k scan.
I chose the option "Play From Memory" and surprise I can play only 40 frames.
QUESTION : where can I change the quantity of RAM to read more images ?
While working in LR 4, after several hundred edits for no reason it started converting the images to B/W? Seems to be some sort of glitch, they are color then change to B/W?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently acquired the 5DMkIII and after I import the RAW images into LR 4.3RC, LR will, apparently randomly, divide an image into rectangles and color it with psychodelic colors. Out of about 700 images from my last shoot, it has only happened to 3 or 4, so far. But it can happen immediately upon import or on a subsequent viewing/developing of the images. It seems to happen at the time I click on the thumbnail to view or edit the image.I have inserted a sample. This is an image of a hawk on a post (the bird is in the center of the image). Theoretically, I can reimport the image from the CF card and hope it doesn't happen again (assuming I haven't reformated the card). Is this an issue with the camera or LR? It began happening on the Mark III images. I've used 7D, 40D, and XT before this with no problem.
View 30 Replies View RelatedI’m moving pictures from my old HP LIGHTROOM to my new iMAC LIGHTROOM and have discovered that my pictures tend of vanish from both, so that I’m left completely unsure if any picture I move to or import into LIGHTROOM on my iMAC will be there permanently. I’ve experienced this software instability in LIGHTROOM on my PC and was hoping if I moved to the iMAC the problem would be resolved, but I see it is an inherent and significant bug in the LIGHTROOM software. I’ve had the entire contents of the catalogs on both my PC and iMAC disappear requiring me to re-import the pictures (resulting in even random duplications} and to reenter and re-annotate metadata for thousands of pictures. I have searched in vain for any satisfactory explanation, most of all from Adobe, what might be going on here and how to prevent or alleviate the problem.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to create a photo slideshow DVD. I've used one of the instant project templates. Populated the placeholders and then dropped my photos into one of the video overlay tracks. I now want to increase the duration from 3s to 6s. I have tried doing so by dragging out the first clip to 6s and by double clicking and manually editing to 6s. The result is the same: I get 3s of random transition between that clip and the next.
What I want to do is create 6s photo clips with a transition between each clip. So, how do I increase the photo duration to be visible for 6s and how do I then drop a transition between all the clips? I don't want to add them manually as there are nearly 200 photos?
My photos appear at a much poorer quality in slideshow than in the album. Why?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI opened up some photos to edit this evening, and have discovered that the camera profile options are gone. All that is available are the two ACR ones. I shot with the same camera and lens as I have before (Nikon D40 and 50mm), and I double checked, and I shot everything in RAW. I don't know what's going on. I'm running Windows 7 64 bit, and have LR 3.6. I would really like to use Camera Standard and Camera Vivid.
