I have a very large catalog that I am wanting to clean up and remove files from my computer.
I am wanting to put the images on to a DVD, what is the best way to do that?
Export to catalog and then point to the DVD?
I need to transform a selection of ranges of grayscale image in colors. For example: using GSM of a gray scale image as a parameter I want to recode pixels from 0 to 20 in red, 21 to 40 in orange, 41 to 60 in yellow and so forth... until pixel valued 256 in GSM.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI found all of the javascript on my Expression Web 4 project coding had lost its color coding. All the text was black. It doesn't matter if the code is in a js file or in a html page.I tried, Tools > Page Editor Options... and Color Coding Tab, going to, and changing Display items called "Script ??????". But it doesn't fix it.
The only one that seems to work is "Script Identifier", and that changes all of the script to one color.Later in September I did a bit more.
I went to System Restore and restored my computer to a date two weeks previous. This fixed the problem. Color Coding for JS files in EW4 returned.I then started to install the Windows Updates and Programs that where installed in this period, until the problem came back. (Color Coding for JS files disappeared.)
The problem seemed to come on when I install Corel Paintshop Pro X4 (trial Version). At the same time I installed PSP X4, DirectX was installed. I don't know if PSP X4 had anything to do with the DirectX install.
If I uninstall PSP X4, the problem still remained with EW4.The only way to restore the problem with EW4 was to use System Restore again and restore to the state before the DirectX Install.
Today 20th November I did some more testing.Again my color coding for javascript went back to black.
I've had a couple of Windows 7 updates recently, (KB917607, KB 2607576 and also SP3 for Microsoft Office 2007) not sure if this bought the problem back on.
Apart from many other programs, I have:
Expression Web 4
Corel Paint Shop Pro X4
Corel Video Studio Pro X4
Today I thought I would do a bit more testing. I reloaded PSPX4 using file PSPP_X4_PF.exe This caused the color coding for javascript to go black.
I thought, what if I reload it again on top of the existing file. BUT I accidentally reloaded Video Studio X4 (File VSX4_Pro_TBYB.exe) Running this file a second time (File VSX4_Pro_TBYB.exe), actually asks if you want to remove Video Studio X4. I said no and cancelled. Now I went back to EW4 and the color coding for Javascript had miraculously re appeared.
When I reboot the PC and go to EW4 javascript, the color coding has gone. When I run Video Studio X4 (File VSX4_Pro_TBYB.exe) a second time and do the cancel, the color coding comes back.
I can do this any amount of times,
Reboot - no color.
Reload VSX4 - color returns.
Reboot - no color.
Reload VSX4 - color returns.
Something seems to get loaded on the initialising of VSX4.
Some time ago I had uploaded one collection of photos through Flickr photostream.
Tonight I set up a second collection to upload. I edited the connection to change from "Public" to "Family and Friends" for this upload. It asked me whether to change previous photo permissions or not. At first I said yes. Then I thought it over, especially after a popup box told me that all ratings and comments would be deleted since I had a free Flickr account. Given that, I decided not to change them. So I went into the Flickr photostream window in LR4 (I have not yet published) and when I saw all the previous photos there to be republished, I selected them and deleted them, to avoid having them re-uploaded.
Unfortunately, it didn't have that effect. It put them in a group called "Deleted photos to Remove." I don't want them removed from Flickr. But I can't seem to get them out of this category so I can publish the new photos without removing them. How do I get rid of these images from this window so they won't be removed from Flickr when I upload the new images?
I have something like 1,850 photos, taken in RAW and later converted to DNG, to create a stop motion. All the photos were taken with the same camera (Canon 5D Mk II) and most of them with a 24-70L. All were taken in the same lighting conditions (in an interior, with the house lighting from flourescent lights) and the same day, in a period of maybe 2 or 3 hours. Each "take" was with the exact same camera and exposure parameters.
When processing the photos in Lightroom (using the LR4 beta) I can see some minor but very noticeable differences between color an exposure in the photos of the same "take". The exposure can be more or less automatically corrected by the Matching total exposures (although I think this doesn't work when the exposures are really similar, but there are some subtle differences like in this case, say, something along ~1/5 stop or so), but I haven't found how to try to match the white balance. All of the photos have already been set to a specific WB (I took a ColorChecker Passport at the beginning of the session), but there are still some differences between some of the shots. Some of them look a tad more greener. I blame the flourescent bulbs, but I'm not sure of the real cause.
So, the question is: is there a way to match the color balance of a series of photos to a target one? I really don't want to go photo by photo setting the white balance manually. Is there a tool like the Match total exposures, but for color balance? I have already tried with the automatic white balance, but the problem is that the decided WB for the photos is not the one I need, and I need to have the same WB for all the session, and this could change from different takes. The difference between shots is usually around 4 or 5 "points" in the Tint scale, some are with Tint +11, some with +15.
Or any other tool that could process this after? At the end I'll use JPGs to create the stop motion, so if there is a tool that could process the exported jpgs it could work too.
I take RAW photos using Canon DSLRs and I use to edit CR2 files.I've just got a brand new Lightroom 5 boxed with my new 5D camera and started to use it,
When I open the photos in the library or in develop mode I see the photos in good and light colors in the miniatures in the bottom of the screen.
When I double click on a photo, it opens up in a bigger format and it looks also beautiful (in the same way I can see in the photocamera display), however after around 1 second of "loading" the photo changes its colors and it's no more bright and beautiful it changes in more dull colors.
how to keep the camera settings in raw files and edit the photos starting from the edits that the camera made?
How can this possibly happen? The section Apply During Import in the import dialog screen has a field for Develop Settings, but this field says None, so nothing should happen to the photos during import. So why do the display in B&W in Library?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI take many architectural photos around sunset, so I get a mix of dayllight and incandescent in the interior photos. I can easily set the white balance to correct one area, but I'm looking for a way to adjust the other area(s). I think an adjustment brush is the way to go, and I was wondering if there was a magic preset to apply to color correct those areas, or some other method I haven't thought of.

See, many times a day I will click the white balance color temperature fileld and start typing "5500" only to then realize that the click on the entry field didn't activate it and I have now inadvertently changed the ratings and/or label colors for several photos. Super frustrating to then have to undo a bunch of times, especially when I'm viewing based on rating and/or color label, because photos can spontaneously vanish from view.
I have just returned from holidays, took 1000 pictures that all have a date on them. Is there an less time consuming way of removing this without having to use the clone stamp tool for each one?

View 9 Replies View RelatedMy problem is that I created a band logo for a t-shirt. Its on a black background and also has many black parts within the design as well... What I need to do is remove all the black from the entire design so that it will be able to be printed on any color of shirt (except white) and be able to be seen.
The parts that I need to retain of the design are all the white parts. (whatever color the shirt is, will replace the black) and the shirt can only be printed with a white design, hopefully that makes sense. I just need to convert all the black in the design to empty space. I know i could spend hours going through and deleting it individualy but i was praying there was an easier way.
Want to remove the dark grey boundary layer as seen in the attachment, in order to overlay my own boundary (which uses a different coordinate system so is more stretched) What tool do I use to do this? Do i remove that specific color from the picture completely? Do i somehow blend it into the background map?
Also, the new map layer is a series of 300 bright red points in a similar shape on a white background....how do i overlay only the red points?

1. I am making a .gif with 57 images [black silhouette] with a white background. Is there any way I can remove the background from all of the images at once (like a batch tool) rather than going through each one of them?
2. If I make a change to one image i.e. crop an image and resize it, is there a way to effect that change to all of the images Vs going through each one?
I have CS6. Having trouble removing a background where part of the backgrouond is almost exactly the same color as the subject's hair. I've tried the refine edge tool- I get yucky greyed areas in the one spot where the hair & the similar background color meet. I have tried to use channels, but I am not very skilled in that yet.

View 1 Replies View RelatedReference tutorial=> Remove Photo Backgrounds with the Background Eraser {URL]
a) I follow the tutorial above to remove backgrounds. However, the background has similar color than picture (in this case "white" - picture attached - FIG_2). So, when I use "background eraser" tool, it erase part of my picture as well. So, how to handle it properly?
b) The tutorial was usefull to other image that has different backgound color (FIG_3 attached). But using other software (Gimp) I could just take the transparency index (color=> color to alfa) with "one click" without the request of erase background manually. So, is there any similar way to do it easily in Paint Shop?
I have seen somwhere that you can colour code important commands to whatever colour you like so it is easier to pick out, for example if you use the shadow and highlights that menu would be a certain colour or gaussion blur, you could highlight it in a certain colour so they stand out.
View 1 Replies View Related1. Get a picture of a car (or something else), and a picture of some matrix code.
2. cut out the car using the magnetic lasso and paste it on as a new layer on the picture of the matrix code.
3. Go to image, adjustments, Hue/Saturation., and adjust it so it looks like the color of you code.
4.Copy a large square chunck of code and place it on a new layer.
5. The go to Edit, Define Pattern, and call it matrix.
6.now go to your car layer and click a part of the picture other than the car and ckick on it with the magic wand tool. Then right click on that same spot and click on select inverse, then copy it.
7. Now drag this layer over the layer of the matrix code and erase around it until it fits in nicely with the rest of the code. (don't erase too much.) Then press control+E to merge the two layers into one.
8. Duplicate the green car layer twice, and set all three car layers mode to vivid light.
9.Then mess with the Hue/Saturation menu until you car blends in nicely.
(Optional part which I did on the picture posted here)
10. Press the print screen button and copy and the paste image you get into a new image. Then use the magic wand tool on the car from your original image and copy and paste it on top of the new matrix car on a new layer.
11. Then while the lines are on the car you pasted, go to the car that is already there and copy and paste it onto a new layer. Then delete the first car you pasted in.
12. Mess with the Hue/Saturation on the car layer until it blends in with the matrix coding even better.
