Feb 7, 2012I'm trying to upload a video into YouTube straight from my Video Studio ProX3. Was able to do it successfully with a video just 2 days ago but for some reason, doing a different video (same videocam & format) it's giving me this error message "The entity name must immediately follow the ',&' in the entity reference". And it won't upload or let me proceed. I have no clue what this means, i tried redoing it and changing the video file name and no luck.

Apr 6, 2013I am having a new issue with my Lightoom (4) Suddenly, every time I try to upload photos into Lightroom, I get a "Files Cannot be Read" message. I have never had this problem before. SOmetimes it will upload a few out of the bunch, but not all of them. I have tried to change all my permissions settings to "Read & Write" but am still not having any luck. It seems that it works sometimes, but mostly not.

Jan 4, 2013If I use LR to import the RAW files directly from a CF card, there are preview images (but I don't know how to import and save to a different HDD yet so I am still transferring files with Nikon Transfer NX)), but if I use Nikon Transfer to move the NEFs to the HDD, LR reports that it can't read the RAW files. I am using the same NEF format as what I use with ny Nikon D300 (14 bit, uncompressed) and LR will read those files.

Feb 21, 2014I need to rename a number of files to specific names which are not based on the current names. Simple to do outside of LR5 but I do not want to lose the related edit data which I believe to be the case if I do it outside of LR.

Nov 8, 2008I'm using Vista 32. After updating to CS4 I can no longer open jpg files directly into PS by clicking on the file in windows explorer or an e-mail. After much searching and looking for file associations, I was able to get jpgs to open into Bridge from windows explorer, but still cannot get them to open directly in PS. When I attempt to open a jpg from an e-mail message, I get a window in Bridge pointed to a temp folder.

Photoshop :: Can't Seem To Open Scanner To Scan Directly Into Program
Nov 17, 2012So I just finally updated my OS and my Photoshop and just encountered something I wasn't expecting. I have an Epson GT15000 scanner(big one with a feeder) I installed all the drivers and everything and the scanner works fine, but I can't seem to open the scanner from Photoshop to scan directly into the program. I can open the scanner independently and scan it to a saved file and then open it in photoshop. But it only has limited file type options so I'm basically forced to save it as one file so that I can then open it in photoshop and resave it as something else which is kinda a rediculous in between step and also leaves me with extra files that need to be deleted. Since the scanner itself hasn't changed and still functions the same otherwise I'm assuming it's because I'm using a new version of Photoshop. I'm also assuming that I actually can scan in the program, just not in the way that I'm used to. I used to go to import, and the scanner would appear on the menu for me to select it.

This code I created exports my current Ai document as a PSD with set options. It also names the new file what it is called in Ai.
How can I call the created file and open it directly in Photoshop? Keep in mind I would be working on multiple files, so file names would change every time I ran this Export Script.
I could call a specifically named file and open that, but that's not what I need this script to do. I just need it to open the newly created PSD file.

May 8, 2012On a pro account, Vimeo has no time limits. Yet using the tool to upload to Vimeo in VS X4 forces a trim to 25 minutes. Is there a work around? Is there any way to replicate the settings on the Vimeo upload without the time limit? I can't seem to find a way to replicate the Vimeo upload settings using the custom portion, or the mp4 HD portion of the share tab.

I inserted metadata via Image - Properties - Comments while in GIMP xcf, saved files to JPEG, and uploaded. Nov 14, 2012I have a Canon PowerShot camer and make videos using .avi. I just bought the Premiere Elements 11. Befoer I bought the program I made sure that it said it would work with .avi files. When I try to upload an avi it says "This type of file is not supported, or the required codec is not installed".
How do I obain and install the required codec? I have already loaded up all the software that came with the camer, and that software works fine; I assume it already has the required codec. But how can I get Elements to use the codec?

Feb 5, 2014I've been told that I shouldn't edit Adobe product files directly off of a server. At my previous job we did have problems with files becoming corrupted (inDesign in particular) when we used this editing method, so we were told to edit the files locally and then resave onto the server. However, at my new job, the IT department is a bit more savvy and I have yet to see many hiccups with our server. Other employees work directly off of the server and don't seem to have any real problems. What are the pros and cons to working directly off the server and working locally then resaving?
