I kept getting the following error when changing to the "Slideshow" module: 'An error occurred when attempting to change modules'. Application now works well under a new user name. I am just starting out with ilogic and have very basic coding experience.What I would like is for the rule to read the windows login username and depending on the result (User A) displays a radio message box asking if if the file should be restricted.

I've tried this several times, both with and without previews. I'm trying to make a copy of my masters with sidecars etc. so that I can examine the entire catalog on my laptop with an external hard drive.
On my destop PC I export all my images as a catalog to the external drive (it's a Terabyte drive ) and when done I cannot read the catalog on either the machine that created it or the laptop. I'm running Vista which seems to work ok with evertying else. I've tried both with and without previews thinking it would be a smaller amount of space by leving out the previews.
When opening the catalog from the file menu in LR 4.4 or by clicking on the saved .lrcat file it gives an error message that the catalog/library is invalid.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen a student launches AutoCAD they get error message: Error 1325. "username" is not a valid short file name.This is true for all students who have a username with 9 alphanumeric characters.
However, when I launch it with my student test account named "test" it will launch just fine. Also, it launches okay using my domain Admin and local Admin accounts.
Seeing as how it works with my student test account I don't think it's a permissions issue because that account mirrors the actual student accounts in regard to rights and restrictions.
I just started using corel x5 and EVERY time I put an outline on an object, (always 9 points thick) the next time I re-poen the file it says I have an invalid fill id and it makes my outline hairline thin and the default stroke color.
View 12 Replies View RelatedI have the full version of Creative Suite Premium. I uninstalled it from my computer, reformated the hard drive, and reinstalled Windows XP. I went to reinstall CS and it says my serial key is invalid. I have done this in the past and have never had a problem. I also have 5 other computers in the house and same thing on all of them. Yes it is the full version and I purchased it from Adobe. I called Abobe and have since talked to 4 people and a supervisor. None of them can help me becuase my version is not supported anymore. They all want me to upgrade to CS4 and I really dont get anywhere with anyone. I personally do not need the upgrade, I am ok with just using the version I purchased in the past. For the amount of money these programs cost I am suprised the customer support only works for the past 2 versions. So currently CS4 and CS3 are the only supported versions right now. But when CS5 comes out CS3 will no longer be supported. So support has nothing to do with a time frame, its purely based on new versions that are produced. I asked them that if I upgrade to CS4 and it still says serial key invalid, will I be under warranty to get my money back? They stated it is impossible not to work. They said they will just issue a new serial number and then it will work. However, right now they cannot issue me a new serial number for my old version becuase they dont support it. Now I have read about alot of people saying this same exact thing has happend to them, not just the fact that it doesnt work anymore, but the fact that Adobe in no way helps with this matter unless you pay for an upgrade. My opinion now is Adobe makes the codes invalid on purpose after a certain period of time to force you to upgrade. Maybe this is a little far fetched, but what other explanation can their be? Adobe has confirmed wih me on the phone I am in the system and the serial number I have is a valid number. They do not deny that, but I am pretty much at a dead spot here. I either upgrade or cant use the software that was purchased just a few years ago. What I would like people to post is not only ideas of anything else that can be done to resolve this issue, but your opinion to the invalid serial number idea and if this has ever happend to you and if you were forced to upgrade by Adobe...........
View 17 Replies View RelatedI have a single lic. copy of AutoCAD 2012 LT on a single PC tied to a network server. Our server crashed and needed to be replaced. When they replaced the server, they gave it a new name so I had to reset all the file paths to the redirected folders for my PC. Now I keep getting an error: cannot create temporary file (then shows the file path to the old server).
I have reset all the file location in the files section of the options box, so I do not understand where AutoCAD is still seeing the old server. Is there somewhere else in the software that I need to change the file paths?
We tried to download the software with the serial number, however fail. It prompts the following error message
“Invalid Serial Number” Please re-enter a valid serial number.
I saved a lot of files in CS3 as a jpeg file with the proper extension. I upgraded to CS5 and now when I want ot open these files i sometimes get a message that " an invalid JPEG marker type is found". I can open hem in preview and in CS3 but not in CS5.

our user got a error when start Photoshop CS, it show "Could not complete your request because of missing or invalid personlization information"
Does anyone know how to solve this problem?
We have a 5 user license for Photoshop CS4 extended, and the first machine I've tested on has returned a red cross indicating an invalid license key when this is entered. However, the same key has subsequently been accepted for 2 other Windows installs on very similar machines.
This is a full install license as it has successfully installed CS4 alongside CS3 on one of the clients.
I have tried uninstalling all Adobe Photoshop related products including Bridge, etc from the problematic machine (and also ensured the HKLMSofwateMicrosoftWindowsCurrenversionUninstall key is cleared of such products) restarted and attempted install again but it's still not accepted.
I'm suspecting this one workstation has something left over in the registry or perhaps a file/folder that is confusing the key check.
I´m trying to open a JPEG image but this time an error occurs.

View 9 Replies View RelatedJust installed 2014 and have a few issues right away. I checked out the New Features webpage and attempted to change the Viewport Layout using the new Menu dropdown. When I click on any other layout other than the default the whole UI begins to flicker and Max completely locks up and I have to end the process to close it.
Now when I load Max I get an error box that says: "Invalid flyout button ID!" After clicking OK on 6 identical successive Error boxes they are all gone and Max is OK.
I uninstalled my display drivers and installed the latest Max Performance driver 311.50 for my Quadro 4000.
Update: I removed a custom toolbar that I created thinking it might be throwing the error and then relaunched Max. Same error. Then I reinstalled Max using the Repair/Reinstall feature instead of completely uninstalling and reinstalling. When I open Max I still get the "Invalid flyout..." error. FYI, upon my initial install and first opening of Max it opened normally. It was only after I had the switching workspace event that this error stated. The Reinstall feature did not solve it.

I have a problem in that a customer drawing, actually several cutomer drawings are not closed polylines. tHEY ARE REASONABLY SIMPLE PROFILES THAT i NEED TO CUT OUT ON A CNC ROUTER. mY PROBLEM BEING THAT AS THEY ARE NOT CLOSED the router software will not recognise them properly.
