I can use the "/" key to deselecting the current photo but how do I select the current photo with the keyboard? Usually the space bar is used for this but that displays the image. Is the only way to select the current photo by using the mouse?

I select image, live trace etc (6 colors), but stil unable to select only the background, only the whole picture. Not sure what to do here.

That said, using LR5.2 I'm unable to import, even a single image. I'vre tried rebooting LR, rebooting the external HD, rebooting the computer. Nothing works.

View 7 Replies View RelatedLet me start by describing my needs. I need to generate proofs for my shoots. I'd like to export images with different aspect ratios for target devices, ie iPad, Android phone, 16:9 TV, etc. What would be really great is if I can select a named "crop setting" in the export window and generate JPGs based on the chosen setting. I've searched all over the place, all seem to talk about presets, virtual copies, etc, which really doesn't address what I want.
Fundamentally I'd like to be able to save a handful of crop settings (unique crops but with common names) for each image. I will create the crops manually as I have to pick the position and size for each carefully. For example, on a 4000x6000 image I have these crop settings (for a fairly small area of the image):
1. iPad [settings: top-left coordinate (500,500), ratio 4:3, width2000]
2. Android [settings: top-left coordinate (500,400), ratio 8:5, width 2400]
3. HDTV [settings: top-left coordinate(500,450), ratio 16:9, width 2200]
As you can see each crop is different becasue I want to be precise about how the cropped outputs look. Then at export time, I want to be able to multi-select a bunch of images and pick say "iPad" crop setting to create the JPGs in a batch.
Is there a custom plugin outside of Lightroom that can handle this?
I am using LR5 and am trying to print a single image using print package in the centre of the page, equal borders on all 4 sides.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI would like to change the default filename for the HTML pages produced by Lightroom 3 in the web gallery. Specifically, I would like to remove the string "_large" from the HTML filename, so it corresponds exactly to the image filename.
Specifically, the URL by default is like this: [URL] ....
and I would like it to be like this: [URL] ....
I assume there is some way to make this change using the template editors, but I can't figure it out.
I am unable to use the keyboard shortcut for "select inverse" (ctrl+shift+I).
I've tried re-installing as well...
I like to use keyboard shortcuts in GIMP to select different tools or to nudge an image, but I frequently click on the layers window, which causes keyboard shortcut commands to then be directed to the layers window. So whenever I click to select a different layer or do anything with layers, afterwards I always have to have to click on the image window again to regain use of my editing keyboard shortcuts.
Because of this, I also often forget that layers window has focus and end up messing up my layers with key-shortcut commands intended for the image window. Is there some change I can make to my workflow or keyboard bindings to avoid this problem?
I'm using Photoshop CS4 on an old PPC Mac (10.5.8). For some odd reason, I can't make (or find) a way to make a keyboard shortcut to select something other than the default button in a multi-button dialogue box. (i.e. , "Save", "Cancel", "Don't Save"). "Save" is the default, but I have to grab the mouse if I want to select "Don't Save".
"Tab" will work in other apps--but not Photoshop.

So for example if I have a rectangle in the front and selected, and a circle exactly behind which would like to select, it was maybe with TAB as I remember.
I am trying to use the sculpt layer symmetry feature to flip some detail onto another side of my model. Mudbox tells me that symmetry is not yet initialized. Some searching told me that I need to set the topological axis for the model. Which in turn tells me I need to select two adjacent faces.
The problem is that using Shift + S does not select a single face rather it selects the one under my cursor and the surrounding faces. Is there another way to select a single face?
I shoot in RAW. I import an image into lightroom 4.4. I select the image in the Develop module. The image loads very nicely, but within one second of the image opening on my screen, it becomes much softer and slightly lighter. It does it with every new image.

In Photoshop CC it's default behaviour to affect all shapes (in seperate layers) within the selected area. I often want to change some anchor points on a single rounded rectangle, for example, to make it fit perfectly.
Is there any way, without selecting "isolate layers", to restrict the selection to the currently selected shape layer?

PROBLEM: When I go to select the objects as as a SINGLE OBJECT, each object within the group is selectable -- as if they were not grouped.Shouldn't it be that when I select ANY of the objects within the group ALL OBJECTS in the group get selected, and not just each object?
I'm working on something where I had the text conform to a curve. Now I would like to make the curve path in visible, and I was able to search for instructions on how to do that except that I'm finding them mystifying. I read "you can select a single item inside a group with Ctrl click," but when I go to the group in the layers gallery, the text and curve are treated as one item, and I see no way to separate the two.

I've done this before and still do it all the time on Photoshop on my other machines. However, on my laptop it won't work. I grab the single object I want to move and the second I move it, it defaults to moving every single layer in my file.

Currently have names like 1Page001.Layer 1.pdf etc... (the name in the Export dialog is 1.pdf)
I've used Trax to create a number of animation clips for a character in a video game. I can create more complex animations by arranging several of these in the Trax editor and setting blends.
What I would like to know is: can I select several scheduled clips in the Trax editor and turn those into a single clip? Like if I had two walk cycles that blend into a jump, could I select those and create a single walk-then-jump clip which would appear in the visor, and which I could then drag into the Trax editor as a single unit?
Is there a keyboard shortcut to zoom the image area to the image size. Kind of like the shortcut ctrl + 0 but the reverse.
