It seems as though after updating to version 3.3, my "edit in photoshop" functionality has stopped working. When I choose this option, Photoshop will open, but Lightroom does not bring up a dialog for exporting the photo, nor do I see a progress bar in lightroom for exporting of the photo as I used to.
I can (and have) create a user preset for exporting to accomplish the same functionality
It still errors out saying lightroom can't prepare the file, worked fine with all my random applications (Nik, Portraiture, etc.) in 3. Updated all I can figure to, reinstalled, used the CS Cleaner Tool, etc. No dice.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have the new Canon 5D Mark III, and I updated to Lightroom 4.1 so I can import the 5D3 RAW image into LR. But when I go to "Edit in Adobe Photoshop CS5" or "Merge to HDR Pro in PhotoShop", PS starts, but it doesn't load any files. I was assuming this is because the PS Camera Raw is out of date. So I downloaded the cameraraw6-7_r1_win_030612, but when try to install it, I get "Some updates failed to install. Update is not applicable".

Am not aware of having changed anything between it working fine and not.
Rebooting (Win Vista) and restarting LR made no difference.
Started with LR5 CS6 CR8.1
Suddenly when a raw image has been porcessed by the Develop Module the (ctrl-E) 'open in Photoshop' command does not work for that image. It works for images that have not been 'developed'.
I have deleted LR preferences several times.
I have upgraded to LR5.2RC and CR8.2RC.
As far as I remember this catalog was new as LR5.
I just applied the Lightroom 5.3 and Camera Raw 8.3 updates and now am no longer able to open RAW or DNG files into Photoshop CC. When I select a file and choose "Edit In" Photoshop, photoshop will launch, then nothing will happen. After 2 to 5 minutes, an error will popup in Lightroom saying "The file could not be edited because Adobe Photoshop CC could not be launched." An error I've never seen before. When I click "Ok", Lightroom will show that it's "preparing a file for editing" in the upper left, it will create and save a psd to disk and in the catalog (another new behavior), then it will open in photoshop. All other file types (jpgs, tiff, psd) seem to work/open fine between applications. No difference if I open photoshop prior to selecting "Edit In". Selecting "Edit In" other applications, like Viveza, work fine.
I tried first deleting preference files in both applications. No luck. Ditto for plugins. Notta. Eventually I completely uninstalled and fresh installed Photoshop, Lightroom, and Bridge from the cloud. Same deal...can't open raw/dng files into Photoshop.
I'm on a PC running Windows 7 64bit.
I use to be able to edit a copy with lightroom adjustments when I sent my photo to CS5. It is no longer working. how can I recover that function?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have been using lightroom 3.4 and photoshop CS6 for sometime. However suddenly I cant move images from lightroom to photoshop (Ctrl+E) with the "Edit a copy with lightroom adjustment".
When I click this option, it opens the Photoshop. But doesnt open the image. However the other two options "edit a copy" and "Edit original" works fine.
Also when i add photoshop again as another external editor, it works fine. But as you all are aware this create another copy of the image.
What I did I checked the applications path for photoshop and it was correct. I uninstalled lightroom and reinstalled.
After the update phtotoshop 64bits is not working any more, I can use the 32bits.this is my system info:

I just updated my photoshop to the latest version provided in the application manager.
i created a 3D document in front, had no problems except 1 crash while working with 3D layers.now it won´t let me open this psd becaus Open GL is not activated.
I've updated Photoshop CS6 yet there are new features missing or not installed. For example, the smart sharpening filter.
View 1 Replies View RelatedThe first thing I noticed was that I could not use the type tool to create 'live' text on a layer. With the type tool selected I get the following error message when clicking to begin typing:
"Could not complete your request because of a programme error."
I quit Photoshop then attempted to launch the application by opening the file. The application opened but the file wouldn't, giving the same error message.
I quite Photoshop again and relaunched the application from the Dock. The applicatiuion opens fine but displays the same error message (before I have attempted to open a file).
With a file open I checked the type palette, where the dafault typeface is shown as Myriad Pro, but the default settings are:
Type size: 1pt
Linefeed (leading): 1pt
Kerning: 1
Tracking 1
Type height: 0%
Type width: 0%
Baseline shift: 0
Colour: black
Language: multiple
Type quality: none
Some odd settings there. The type tool bar (at the top of my display) has blank fields. Typing desired values into any of these fields doesn’t resolver the issue.I have tried restarting, creating a new file but to no avail. The type tools in Illustrator and InDesign are working as expected, so it would appear to be a Photoshop problem and I’m stumped ..

I have Creative Cloud subscription and Photoshop 3D Extrusion used to work fine (though slow).
After latest update several days ago it stopped working, displaying an error message instead:
"The 3D features require that 'Use Graphics Processor' is enabled in the Performance preferences. Your video card must meet the minimum requirements and you may need to check that your driver is working correctly"
The Graphic Processor is enabled, and the driver is working fine.
Is this a bug or a "feature" in new version? How to make it work as before the update?
My MacBook Pro had been able to use the Rotate Canvas feature in the earlier release of Photoshop CC I downloaded in July, 2013. With the update in September, this feature has stopped working and it no longer detects my video card. True, I don't have 512 Megs of Video memory. And I have tried to install updated NVidia drivers for my computer... but even it refuses to update. My computer has 2 video cards depending on power settings.

I can not accept that rotate canvas does not work because of my video card or my lack of video card memory. Both Maya and ZBrush are able to handle this operation using software rendered modes. Maya is also able to use my hardware using Viewport 2.0.
Im working on a plastic enclosure, I needed to make a hole for a connector but this hole would cut into both the top and bottom of the enclosure. Normally when I edit parts in an assembly I just double click them, they become transparent and I can do all my edits. Since I need to make a hole that cuts into both parts, I just went to the 3D Model tab started a new sketch and extruded out the cut.
However doing it this way does not reflect the changes when the parts are opened on their own. Is there a way to have these changes trickle down to the part files?
Tried to do something that all other 3D softwares seem to have no problem with, even inventor at least when we were using the old versions.

This is an existing 3D model created with inv2011. inv2013 does not like much of what we created in the old releases of inv.
Sketch gives me 1 dimension. Part and drawing give the old dimension value.
This is yet another major sign of unstable software. Over 24 software issues discovered from changing inv2011 to inv2013.
I want to edit the per-drawing section of the "Update Title Block" menu and it seems like AutoDesk has not given this option. So where I go to edit this menu or if its even possible AT ALL?
I very much dislike that AutoDesk made it so easy to edit the project wide description lines and left almost no way to customize the per-drawing section in the same way. One would think if you making a product to fill the need of many industries you would add a way to customize it from vanilla?
When using photoshop cs5, I am unable to use any tool properly when using the touch screen.
Using the touchscreen, I am able to select the tool and other buttons, but when i attempt to draw with the brush tool, dragging a stylus across the screen does not create a line, and only visual feedback is seen. Dots can be drawn, ad the only way a line can be created is to double-click and drag which does not always work and is irritating to use.
2013 Revit ribbon bar is missing commands..Tried to install the update to fix the ribbon bar - however when I open the update folder on my computer it states
"The update release could not be installed because the expected Autodesk product could not be located on your computer. Make sure that you are using the correct Update Release for the product."
The update file that I am trying to use is called "Autodesk_Revit_2013-x86_Update2.exe".
I have my LR4 settings correct, when I click edit in PSE10, PSE10 opens but no photo transfers over with it

I contacted the vendor who said I need to update codecs in my editing software. I have the most recent X3 updates installed but still having the issue.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI automatically updated last week for my 2014LT and since then the LAYERS hasn't worked properly. Layer Manger still seems to work correctly, but the Layers tab on the Home ribbon does not. I am running Windows 7 Ultra, Quad Core i7 with 16 MB of Ram, and had been running without errors until this last update.
When/if I select the "Freeze Layer" tab from the top ribbon, and then select the layer on the drawing it turns it off as it should, but if I then use the pull down to locate the layer and turn it back on, nothing happens. It does not appear again; it may not even show up now (see below). I found that if I go to LAYER MANAGER and turn on the layer it still doesn't turn on unless I turn it off and then back on; which will bring it back unfrozen. Also, some layers when frozen do not then show up on my pull-down list or LAYER MANAGER list unless I save the drawing and restart 2014LT. The layer then shows up on the Layer Manger and ribbon.?
Just love updates when everything was already working properly, and then they don't after the "Update"!
I had this installed on another computer prior to it being stolen, got a new laptop and installed on it. I am running windows 7. When at the welcome screen i click on Edit and the little bar changes and acts like it is going to start but then does nothing, it just takes me back to the welcome screen. I did find one thread on here and tried those recommendations by holding down the ctrl, alt, and shift while clicking edit and then choosing yes but that didn't work.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSometime during the last few days my scroll wheel has stopped working in the Edit screen. I have always been able to make the photo larger and smaller with this wheel but this has stopped now. Also the sliders on the side and bottom of the editing screen have disappeared.. My scroll wheel is working OK in Organizer and other programmes so it does not appear to be the mouse.
Has there been an update in the last week or so? I am using Elements 10, Version 17215.
I'm running on LR 5.3, but this problem persisted in LR 5.2. Working in PS CS6 and Camera Raw 8.3. RAWs are NEFs from a Nikon D600.
I can't figure out what happened but suddenly I am not getting prompts when moving from LR to PS to "Edit Original" or "Edit a Copy".
I reset all dialog warnings and nothing. The prompt will appear for TIFFs but not for NEFs.
It's kind of pointless to not be able to choose to edit an original or copy with LR adjustments for a RAW when they are the file types that retain my RAW editing information.
Plus, when I do click on a NEF and choose to edit in PS without the prompt (it will appear with lightroom adjustments, not as original), it will open a second icon for photoshop on my dock, and prompt me to continue trial? I have a version of PS installed with the serial plugged in, and in LR "edit in PS" for a TIFF will open this primary version.
After installing Update 2.1 for Civil 3D, Raster doesn't seem to be working. When I go to use a Raster function, I get
FATAL ERROR: Unhandled Access Violation Reading 0x01b8 Exception at 6e545df5h.
I've tried repairing and re-installing Raster and nothing has changed.
I have Elements 9. When I hold shift key and right click to highlight a thumbnail picture, nothing happens. I can't grab several to highlight in order to edit in a batch. Not even one alone, will highlight.
