Lightroom :: Can't Add 4.4 To Open With Menu
Apr 7, 2013Since the recent 4.4 update I can't add Lightroom 4.4 to the Windows 7 right click "open with" menu. When I try to add Lightroom.exe to the menu it simply doesn't get added.

Apr 7, 2013Since the 4.4 update I am unable to add Lightroom to the "open with" menu. I was able to do this with 4.3. Now I can't right click a .dng or .jpg and open it with Lightroom.
I right click the .dng file and browse to add a new program as the default program. I navigate to lightroom.exe and select it. But it does not get added to the list of programs.
Maya :: Won't Open / Save Files / Open Certain Menu
Jun 7, 2012I recently installed a student version of Maya 2012 on my home computer so I didn’t have to work from college for a project, but I have run into some issues.
Not sure what is going on with my Maya but it won't open files unless I actually go to it in the browser and double click on the file. Even once I have done that I can only save over it, save as doesn't work. I also can't create or set projects. There are probably more problems but these are the ones I noticed/really need.
This is what appears in my output window:
Could not find maya.utils._guiExceptHook.

But the "open with " in right click context menu doesn't show photoshop among the listed programs. i tried reinstalling it but the problem is still there.I did 'Choose default program and navigated to the Photoshop .exe for the 64bit version. (Default path is C:Program Files, Adobe.....) but photoshop doesn't come. nothing happens, the list of programs remains the same.

Mar 27, 2011Couple days ago I got a problem. When I try to open extended menu, like Open ->, or Save ->, or Import/Export, 3ds max crashes with "application closed" error. Problem on 3ds MAX 2010 and 2011 in x64 versions. x86 work fine. Service Packs installed. OS Windows 7 x64. Drivers updated, and workis fine.
This solutions did not resolve a problem:
- reinstall 3ds MAX
- reset user and max settings / deleting enu folder
- there is no backup for windows recovery
Can it be, than some windows libraries damaged, or some dll missed? Do not know what to do else, except full windows reinstall.

But, when I go to the menu and select "File" then "Open" to open up my CAD files nothing happens. My screen just hangs and the ribbon turns a faint white color. I can't open any of my CAD files from the program. In order to stop CAD from hanging and doing nothing, I press the ESC key and everything is back to normal. Aug 12, 2005When I use File > Open or Place Component the Windows file browser opens in List mode which means that I have to use the horizontal scroll bar to browse the directory. I would like it to open in Detail mode [List and Detail are some of the view choices under the View Menu of the Windows file browser window] allowing me to browse with the vertical scroll bar. -- I think it's ergonomically eaisier.
I can make the change from the View Menu but it doesn't hold. I have checked to see that Windows 2000 is set for Details when using Windows Explorer.
Are there any settings in Inventor to force Detail mode?

It asks what file to open and suggests the last opened file, and whatever I tried so far this keeps happening.
*.scr files are not allowed on our network, I can't create or rename files to *.scr. Of course I could ask the admins to allow this but I think our security policy is more important than me having a button to open a file.

On this Palette Set I have a palette withe a tree.
On the right click of the node, I call a command (it's one of our own ObjectARX commands, but the problem is the same with a build in command).
The command wants the user to select a point, with a few options. If I first select a point (left click) and then click right, everything works fine.
But If I click with the right button, before I select anything, the menu is not shown.
The code for calling the command is really easy:

As said before... I don't call the _ARC command... but for the arc Command the right click menu is not shown also...What can I do, to get the normal behavior of the right click?
Lightroom :: Open With / Open As - Links To Photoshop 5.1 Grayed Out
Dec 28, 2011I am working with the latest versions of Photoshop, Lightroom & ACR. A couple of weeks ago I noticed that the links to Photoshop from Lightroom were all grayed out. for example when I right click on an image and select "Open With," it and all of the rest of the links to Photoshop are grayed out and inaccessable. I have been using Photoshop since v2 ansd Lightroom since v1. My operating system in Win 7.
Uninstall and reinstall Photoshop to reestablish the links. I spent about two hours doing that yesterday. when I was done the links were back and functional. I left the compluter on all night to make sure everything was backed up. This morning I opened Lightroom (64bit) and attempted to open an image in Photoshop for editing. All of the links were grayed out again.
So today I uninstalled and reinstalled Lightroom.
