Lightroom 5 today suddenly switched to dutch, even though in teh preferences screen it's still set to english. I can't find a way to switch it back to english. It seems to have done this after I installed the app manager update (which quite frankly is pretty horrid now).
How to get lightroom back to english? I don't want to have to relearn all these technical terms.
How can I change the language from dutch to german? Photoshop CS6!!

It's a real pain when you use guides on the internet and they are in for example English and you use a Swedish version of PE11. I have found some English to Swedish translations but only parts of the menu options are covered and mostly for older versions of PE meaning many options are missing in the translations.
I downloaded PS CC but it runs in Norwegian, how do I get it back to English!?

From the beginning of my course I’ve had CAD opening to my template; from the options, under the file tab, then template settings, I set all four of the subcategories to my template and the appropriate folders. My template is set with an engineering drawing scale. A couple weeks ago, I fired up CAD and it opened to a different template where it’s using an architectural scale. I checked my template settings in the options and they are the same. I closed CAD, reopened it, and have gotten the same result since then. When I open my drawings that I’ve been working on the scale goes back to engineering or if I manually open my template, it is an engineering scale as well. Is there another area that controls how CAD opens besides the options for templates settings? I really don’t understand how that could have been changed in the first place since we have always used our templates from the first week of class.

View 3 Replies View RelatedOkay so I downloaded some brushes and then my photoshop cs6 started to work a lot slower and it just wasn't working right at all. So I deleted the brushes but it didn't change.
So basically the problems are when I try and use a brush the brushing is delayed and when i switch tabs it won't let me back onto the program and when I try and make a simple picture with just text and a photo and then try and save for web this pops up 'This image exceeds the size Save for Web was designed for. You may experience out of memory errors and slow performance. Are you sure you want to continue?'
Lightroom 4 catalog does not recognize photos when external hard drive switched to a different USB port. The photos are in My Photopraphs in an external hard drive. I recently had to switch ports and now the catalog can't find the photos.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI saw one video in which a Photoshop geek quickly launces his raw editor by clicking on a small, illegible icon in the lower right-hand of his Layer Icon in his Layers Dialogue but of course he doesn't explain how that works, and there is no such corresponding little sub-icon in MY Layers icon, and the word Raw doesn't even seem to show up anywhere in any menu. I know this has to be possible. I can open a raw file (.nef, in this case) the obvious way, but after switching it over to Photoshop I can't switch it back to the raw editor (?)

My questions:
- is there a possibility to copy the translation from 2.6 to 2.8?
- how can I support the translation of the UI to Dutch?
- in what file and directory can I find the translation?
If there is a way to switch between the eye dropper/brush tool fast.
On Photoshop there the "alt" key but on my mac it really wastes a lot of time for blending colors .
I need to create several versions of a slide show with captions in different languages. I placed all pictures for this slide show in different collections, hoping that changes to the captions are effective only in the collection where they were applied. That is not the case. A change applied to one caption is carried to all copies of that images in the catalog.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen working on images in Develop, Lightroom 5 is distorting them. For example, let's say I'm looking at an image in Library view (fig.1), then switch to Develop view (fig.2) — the image is suddenly compressed horizontally (or stretched vertically, however you choose to describe it).
At other times, images get distorted and rotated (fig.3). And at other times, images were appearing as though a sharpen filter had been applied with accented highlights — but this particular distortion doesn't seem to be happening anymore.
This does not happen to all images in the catalog. I'm running LR 5.2 on a 15" MBP with 16GB ram and a 1.2TB fusion drive.
I'm late on a deadline beause of this, and other local (NYC) experts, as well as Adobe phone support, are as stumpted as I am.

I've been testing LR 5 Beta since it came out and have found it to be very stable. I'd like to switch my main workflow over to it. I back up every night to two different drives (one internal drive in my Mac Pro, and one external drive), and I also have an automated off-site back-up service. I'm not worried about data loss.
But how do I do this? In the past I've waited until the full release when LR 5 would just upgrade my catalog. Can I just open my LR 4 catalog in LR 5 and upgrade it?
I have some files that were originally edited in LR3. They appear in my LR5 library, but with the old LR3 density tools (i.e. 'fill light' and 'highlght rescue'). How to I switch to the LR5 density mode (i.e. 'shadows' and 'highlights')?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm new to photography but taking every chance I can to learn and slowly upgrade my tools. I recently switched from a PC(CS3) to Macbook Pro(CS6). Since doing so, I am having a huge problem. My photos show up exactly as I want them to on my Mac, in and out of Photoshop, but look washed out almost everywhere else, including the web, on PC's and in print(Shutterfly). There are a few exceptions like facebook, but still not all of the photos show up the same quality as what I saw on my Mac.
I thought I did a good job of calibrating my Mac and I'm not doing anything different in PS, but I'm completely lost on what could be causing this.I can upload one of my jpg's so you can see what I'm seeing off my Mac if needed.
I just switched from CS3 to CS6. Can I somehow transfer the actionas I wrote or purchased in CS3 to my CS6 version?
View 4 Replies View RelatedAll of my 20,000 images in LR 4.3 were suddenly duplicated. All the adjustments, ratings,just as if I had selected all and clicked "Create virtual Copy". Is there a way to eliminate duplicate images or undo this mystriuos process? In checking, the second image is a copy of the JPEG image which I exposrted to another location. How can I handle these to somehow get rid of them or do they really not do anything except clutter up the content?
View 5 Replies View RelatedToday when I was exploring the options renaming in library mode in order to keep the development settings my images have. Suddenly, on my hard drive I saw an entire photo folder filled with xmp files! No xmp files were visible before this and I have checked my catalog settings to make sure that writing to xmp files was not checked.
I don't use separate xmp files - Is there a way to merge the xmp files with their associated photo file? Can I delete them without loosing my develop settings and key words?
I have used Lightroom since v2 and currently on v5.3. Have been upgrading regularly and everything was working perfectly until today.
My lightroom 3 has been working fine for ages and I suddenly cannot export at all, the screen just freezes and I have to go to task manager to shut it down. All of the other features are working 'develop' 'import' etc. Am working on windows.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI am suddenly unable to import my images using LR4. Each night I download my cards using a card reader using LR4. I use a card reader and copy and convert to DNG. Suddenly tonight I keep getting a message that my files were not copied because they can't be read. I have tried using multiple cards, have used different readers. None of it makes a difference. I simply can't move my images off my cards anymore.
The only thing different I did yesterday, and I'm not sure if it made a difference, was to create a new destination folder by right clicking on my list on the right of the screen. I did two different sessions yesterday and I wanted the images in different folders. I right clicked on the folder from my first download, select create a new folder, and imported there. Those images downloaded but I can't do anymore.
I have no clue where to start in troubleshooting this. I thought it was the card, but none of my cards work. I thought it was the card reader, but my brand new one won't work.I am thinking it is something within LR.
