May 18, 2013when using keyboard short cuts to swap between tools ps cs6 now defaults to only a "temporary switch" i.e. it reverts back to the previously selected tool imediatly after I release the key. I can not get the tool to stick on the new selection unless I use the mouse to manually select the new tool.
How do I stop this from happening? I want to use short cuts to switch between tools and have it stick.
I have looked else where in the forums and have not found a solution that has worked. Checked that my keyboard is in the proper language, reinstalled photoshop, and double checked every setting I can think of, all to no avail.
This is a new problem, I have not made any recent hardware changes, everything had worked fine until today.
Illustrator :: Selection Tool Suddenly Acting Like Direct Selection Tool During Click-and-drag
Aug 22, 2012This morning, my Selection Tool (the filled-in arrow) is acting like a Direct Selection Tool (the hollow arrow), but only when I click and drag on a group. It ends up select the anchors within the group rather than the whole group itself.
I've checked my preferences, quit and relaunched Illustrator a few times, and nothing seems to fix it. The problem briefly went away a few minutes ago, but came back when I quit and relaunched for good measure.
It's happening in Illustrator CS 5.1. I have CS6, and that version works fine, but I'm waiting on some plugins to be updated for it, so I'd like to use CS 5.1. I'm also running the latest Suitcase Fusion 4.
InDesign :: Can't Change Back To Selection Tool
Mar 28, 2014When opening a document in InDesign CS6 it says the program has stopped and has to close. When I go to open the document again, it says the document might have been damaged.
Also, when I am finally in the document and select the text tool, I can only type text, it won't let me change the font color or do anything for that matter. I can't even change back to the selection tool.

Nov 20, 2012I spend 12 hours a day in illustrator and some functionality seems to simplistic and ultimately annoying.I'm using Windows 7 64bit. Adobe Illustrator CS6
1. Please auto switch between Stroke fill and fill when I select text. 99% of my time is spent only using fill on text. I would rather manually switch to Stroke when I want to add a fill to it rather having to switch to fill each time.
2. Same for Stroke, from point 1.
3. Add an auto layer for Guides. When I am using the Scissors tool, the majority of the time I don't want to cut my guides up, I would rather instead cut up the shape below it. Again manually changing the layer to select the guide would be preferable.
4. I personally never use the Eraser tool and I switch to the Scissors Tool. Without fail every time I launch Illustrator I have to switch from the Eraser Tool too the Scissors tool. Please add cookies or something so I don't have to always switch to the Scissors Tool.
5. Move "Align to Pixel" toggle somewhere outside a file menu.

Jan 31, 2012running AutoCAD Civil 3D 2012. From the beginning of my course I’ve had CAD opening to my template; from the options, under the file tab, then template settings, I set all four of the subcategories to my template and the appropriate folders. My template is set with an engineering drawing scale. A couple weeks ago, I fired up CAD and it opened to a different template where it’s using an architectural scale. I checked my template settings in the options and they are the same. I closed CAD, reopened it, and have gotten the same result since then. When I open my drawings that I’ve been working on the scale goes back to engineering or if I manually open my template, it is an engineering scale as well. Is there another area that controls how CAD opens besides the options for templates settings? I really don’t understand how that could have been changed in the first place since we have always used our templates from the first week of class.

Aug 26, 2012Okay so I downloaded some brushes and then my photoshop cs6 started to work a lot slower and it just wasn't working right at all. So I deleted the brushes but it didn't change.
So basically the problems are when I try and use a brush the brushing is delayed and when i switch tabs it won't let me back onto the program and when I try and make a simple picture with just text and a photo and then try and save for web this pops up 'This image exceeds the size Save for Web was designed for. Lightroom :: 5 Language Suddenly Switched To Dutch / Won't Switch Back
Jun 19, 2013Lightroom 5 today suddenly switched to dutch, even though in teh preferences screen it's still set to english. I can't find a way to switch it back to english. It seems to have done this after I installed the app manager update (which quite frankly is pretty horrid now).
How to get lightroom back to english? I don't want to have to relearn all these technical terms.

Sep 17, 2013So, I just installed Illustrator CC, which I now have on a trial license. About an hour ago, illustrator suddenly started refusing to move any objects while I'm in the Selection Tool. I can move the objects only in Free Transform. I use hot keys a lot, so it's really slowing me down. I hit "V" to click on and then move an object, and then it won't move. I get the error sound, but no dialogue box pops up to explain what the error is.
Since I'm getting ready to bite the bullet and start paying a hefty monthly fee for this program when my trial runs out, this is pretty aggravating.

Feb 1, 2010when working on illustrator my selection tools won't adjust shapes anymore. I can move shapes around but I cannot resize them or stretch them. If I have a rectangle shape on my screen selected, the hash marks that are normally in the middle are no longer there, also at the edges of the rectangle the selection tool doesn't change over to the rotate tool. My selection tool also has a small black square at the bottom right of it that I haven't noticed before. I have no clue how I got into this mode, preferably without resetting all of my preferences,

Apr 3, 2013Noramlly in CS5 and any other version of Photoshop or Illustrator that I know of, if you click a point in an object, it will show the handles for transforming the line. As I'm creating something today, it works for a while and then stops. Yesterday I had the same problem. I drew a few things and then suddenly, the Direct Select Tool is not showing any transform handles.
I can get them to show if I can click and drag a box over the point, but this is slow and doesn't work well for layered art. I already tried resetting my illustrator preferences.
Also, in CS5 there's a simple icon that you can click to convert the currently selected point from a curved point to an angled point. Is there not such a thing in CS2?
