View 1 RepliesI'm trying to import some photos into LR from a camera and I know that there are many photos on the camera that have already been imported. Usually if I choose New Photos LR sees them and doesn't import them, but now it isn't. I started importing them and it started giving the duplicate file names -2 extensions.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI currently use iphoto and have all of my photos on an external hard drive. When I hit import it the program seems to recognize my external hard drive but does not seem to recognize the iphoto subdirectory and therefore shows that there are no photos to import.
Do i need to select some setting somewhere to recognize photos in iphoto?
How to prevent Lightroom 4.3 from recoginizing photos on a flash derive?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI downloaded Gimp because I wanted to add text to photos. I have a "bazillion" photos, most of which Gimp does not recognize. These are photos imported into iPhoto from my Fujifilm digital camera or they are scans from my HP printer scanned into iPhoto. I hope I don't need to open each file in iPhoto and export it to a different format...

View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter I take a photo into PSCC, make adjustments, then hit "save", the .tif doesn't show up in LR. If I do an "Import", the .tif file shows up grayed out in the correct folder. If I use "save as" and try to drag and drop that file, it will not import as it says that file is already in the catalog. I'm on a new Mac Pro, using the CC.
View 2 Replies View RelatedAs of yesterday, my lightroom no longer recognises the raw files from my Nikon D7000. It won't import them. Not sure why as it worked fine prior to then.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI have LR 4.2 installed. I just tried to import my 5D MK III images for the first time and is gave me a camera not recognized (409) error. From what I can see the 5 MK III was supposed to be supported from 4.1 on. Did the tether fix in 4.2 break the native image support? If not, have 4.2 installed that does recognize MK III files (within the past week)? I ran the update check and it reported that I had the latest version installed and no updates were available.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded to Lightroom 5. Suddenly it will not recognize raw files from either my Canon 7D, or my Sony Nex-7.Both of these are supported in LR4, and LR4 is still recognizing them.I've already checked, there are no further updates available.
View 2 Replies View RelatedSuddenly, after 3 months of easy use, LR5 says it can't import standard JPEG files form my Olympus OMD
because it can't read them. But iphoto has no problem and imports them easily. This just started happening out of the blue.
I am running LR4.3 on a Vista 32 bit system. I have a new Toshiba external drive that has been storing my work from lightroom. All has been working great until last night. I was working on photos and all of a sudden a banner came across the top saying photos is missing or offline and then that the folder was missing. The external drive was still plugged in but not lit up. I unplugged it and shut everything down (multiple times) but the drive has disappeared from the selectable drives on the left hand side. I can access the external drive through windows and my photos are there but LR4.3 does not see it. How can I get LR to see the drive again?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI started to get problems with Lightroom not recognizing RAW files from my Fuji XE-1 and Canon 5D Mark 3 cameras but I thought it was a problem with RC. After downloading some files today in 4.4 without a problem I encountered the same error message (unable to inport listed RAW files) again. The files open fine in Bridge.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI was trying to put together a slideshow in the Trial Version of Lightroom 1.0(on WindowsXP SP2) and I clicked on the Soundtrack section to add music. When the browse for music dialog came up it only showed drives below my H: drive. I keep my music on my M: drive and could not add music to the slideshow. I tried sharing my M: Drive and mapping it to my F: drive, but when I selected it I got "The folder F: cannot be used, please try another folder." This is a severe limitation.
I was planning on purchasing this version, but it looks like it is not quite ready yet. Maybe I will wait for 2.0. I was also not able to stack photos or change the folder that I import to from the downloader.
Suddenly Lightroom 5 has stopped recognizing Nikon NEF raw files when I try to download them from my cameras memory card.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI copied photo folders from my hard drive to lightroom 4 and edited them but then accidentally removed these folders from lightroom. I then imported these folders again into lightroom but all the edits I made orginally in lightroom don't show up for the individual photo's.
I backed up the Lightroom catalogue regularily. Is there any way I can reattach these edits to their respective photos'. There is lot of photo's involved.
When I merge LR5 catalogs the existing photos are overwritten by the incoming photos

View 7 Replies View RelatedI am currently running a Mac with OS 10.8.2 and have installed Adobe CS 5.5 Production Premium. Within Photoshop- Preferences- Performance, Photoshop is only recognising 2100MB of RAM, while my Computer has 16GB of RAM available. I have checked and according to the OS Finder, this 16GB is active.
I have also checked across other Adobe programs such as Adobe Premier and have confirmed that here it is also recognising the Available 16GB of RAM. Thus it is only in Photoshop that this is occurring. I have since deleted all of my preferences from both the user level and the hard drive but no recification. I have noticed a recent discussion which sounds very familiar, [URL]....
however this is on a windows based system and the last suggestion from a user was to a windows related issue and I am not sure that fixed the issue for them or not.
I installed plugins for CS6(64bit) in Program Files/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop CS6 (64 Bit)/Additional Plug-ins and nothing! CS6 doesn't recognize it, namely "dofpro.8bf" and it's companion file "convert.exe". I have verified that the above path is in the preferences of CS6 for additional plugins.
I then copied the files to Program Files/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop CS6 (64 Bit)/Plug-ins!
I have looked all over and cannot find any other places to install the files.
The instructions for the DOF Pro software said to simply copy the two files into the folder where CS6 has it's plug-ins. I don't know why CS6 is not displaying the DOF Pro filter option in the Filter drop down menu.
I am running Windows 7 Home 64bit and it is fully up to date.
Photoshop is not recognizing any of my installed printers (inconsistently...)
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just recently upgraded to Photoshop CS6 and for a while everything was fine. Then for no reason that I can see, the pen pressure recognition for my tablet simply stopped working. It literally was working one day and then stopped the next.
I am using a WACOM Intuos2 tablet, and have uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers for it many times to see if that was the problem. I have rebooted after each successful uninstall and reinstall, with zero effect. I have tried other USB ports with no effect. The tablet software recognizes the pressure when I run a diagnostic, it simply does not work in Photoshop. I realize the tablet is an older model but I can't imagine it is incompatible with Photoshop CS6.
I have made certain everything is up to date, including Photoshop, Windows 7 32bit, any hardware drivers and my tablet driver.
My installation does not recognize the EasyCap adapter (nothing shows on "Select Device" menu). I have re-installed and downloaded 64 bit drivers from the net with no effect. Running Vista Home Premium 64 bit, SP2.
View 1 Replies View RelatedOur new employee is trying to do a custom hatch of a stone pattern, but when he selects it, he gets a message saying it's invalid. I had him copy over the entire PAT folder that I use and tell his support directory to look at it. It works when I use it on my computer. So far none of the other custom hatch patterns give him an invalid message, just this one.
I know he's working on drawings that another ex-employee started. He used a whole different set of PAT files for some reason. I think when we were looking for downloadable files and just used whatever he found. And this new employee is working on the computer of someone that is no longer with the company...so it's impossible for me to find out who did what. Also, I don't know if it makes a difference, but I (and 2 other people) have Architecture 2010, and the rest of the employees have AutoCAD 2011. I don't think this is an issue because no one else seems to have this problem, and like I said before, all the other hatch patterns work.
The thing that doesn't make sense to me is that I'm pretty sure this pattern is a standard custom hatch, because it's found in my "AutoCAD Architecture 2010/support" folder, as opposed to my "ACA 2010/enu/support" folder. But when I go into his system, he doesn't have any of those patterns in his similar folder.
I am running CS4 on a Windows Vista Platform. I have increased my RAM from 2GB to 4GB (max for 32 bit system). I've checked my computer and the memory is 'registered' and recognized by the system. Everything seems to be fine but when I go to CS4 Preferences it still lists my available RAM as 1645 (old 2GB figure). How do I get Adobe to see my new memory?
View 32 Replies View RelatedI am brand new to GIMP. I just installed the latest version (2.6) and tried to open an image file from my computer. I clicked open, and went to a folder on my computer that has lots of jpegs in it. None are appearing for me to open in GIMP however. I tried a different folder with images in it and got the same result. I have it set for "All Images".
