I recently upgraded to Lightroom 5. Suddenly it will not recognize raw files from either my Canon 7D, or my Sony Nex-7.Both of these are supported in LR4, and LR4 is still recognizing them.I've already checked, there are no further updates available.
View 2 RepliesI have LR 4.2 installed. I just tried to import my 5D MK III images for the first time and is gave me a camera not recognized (409) error. From what I can see the 5 MK III was supposed to be supported from 4.1 on. Did the tether fix in 4.2 break the native image support? If not, have 4.2 installed that does recognize MK III files (within the past week)? I ran the update check and it reported that I had the latest version installed and no updates were available.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI just bought the Tamron SP 90 2.8 DI MACRO USD and LR lens profiles only lists this lens for Canon (F004E) and Nikon (F004N). There is no profile for Sony (F004S) ! Any drawback if I use F004E or N ? Or better use a the profile of the older Model of that lens where there is a Sony profile ?

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhy are my previously edited canon 5d mark 3 raw xmp files no longer recognized and all sliders set to zero? I can see the xmp files associated with the raw file in their folder. The files were originally edited in CS6/ACR 7.x -in July 2012 - and recently re-opened in the same CS6/ACR 7.x.
The canon 5d mark 2 files from the same time/event are showing up fine. I have updated everything, but both before and after the update, same issue with the Mark 3 files.
On a side note:We have found that opening mark 2 files (that were originally edited in CS4 / ACR 5.7) in CS 6 / ACR 7.x and making any changes such as color coding causes all previous xmp information being zero'd out in the mark 2 xmp file. Not sure if this is a symptom of the same problem? Except the difference here is the Mark 3 files have never been touched outside of version CS6/ACR7.x - however the folder which holds both mark 2 & mark 3 files from the same event has been opened in the CS4 / ACR 5.7 window but without touching the files. By opening the folder in CS4 I can see that the Mark 3 files aren't reading and then know this event was originally edited in CS6/ACR 7.x

Is there a profile for Canon lenses 8-15 mm and Canon 800mm ? Where can it be found ?

View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter I take a photo into PSCC, make adjustments, then hit "save", the .tif doesn't show up in LR. If I do an "Import", the .tif file shows up grayed out in the correct folder. If I use "save as" and try to drag and drop that file, it will not import as it says that file is already in the catalog. I'm on a new Mac Pro, using the CC.

Adobe's refusal to support this well known and highly rated camera reveals something about a business model which ignores the needs of their customers. I am running LR4.3 on a Vista 32 bit system. I have a new Toshiba external drive that has been storing my work from lightroom. All has been working great until last night. I was working on photos and all of a sudden a banner came across the top saying photos is missing or offline and then that the folder was missing. The external drive was still plugged in but not lit up. I unplugged it and shut everything down (multiple times) but the drive has disappeared from the selectable drives on the left hand side. I can access the external drive through windows and my photos are there but LR4.3 does not see it. How can I get LR to see the drive again?

After downloading some files today in 4.4 without a problem I encountered the same error message (unable to inport listed RAW files) again. The files open fine in Bridge.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI was trying to put together a slideshow in the Trial Version of Lightroom 1.0(on WindowsXP SP2) and I clicked on the Soundtrack section to add music. When the browse for music dialog came up it only showed drives below my H: drive. I keep my music on my M: drive and could not add music to the slideshow. I tried sharing my M: Drive and mapping it to my F: drive, but when I selected it I got "The folder F: cannot be used, please try another folder." This is a severe limitation.
I was planning on purchasing this version, but it looks like it is not quite ready yet. Maybe I will wait for 2.0. I was also not able to stack photos or change the folder that I import to from the downloader.
just got a new Sony A77 but Lightroom v2 won't read RAW files when I try to import them. I know I need to upgrade my version of LR (I will be going to v4) but... is there ANYTHING else I need to do or to upgrade in order to ensure Lightroom 4 will read those Sony RAW files?
