View 2 RepliesI just bought the Tamron SP 90 2.8 DI MACRO USD and LR lens profiles only lists this lens for Canon (F004E) and Nikon (F004N). There is no profile for Sony (F004S) ! Any drawback if I use F004E or N ? Or better use a the profile of the older Model of that lens where there is a Sony profile ?

View 2 Replies View Relatedmy main reason for upgrading to LR 3 was the lens profile correction abilities but for some reason LR 3.3 is not listing my Canon 15-85 IS USM lens. I use LR 3.3 at work and the lens is listed but on my Macbook Pro it's missing.
I don't want to start creating a profile as I am not sure I have the technical capabilties or knowledge. Where can I find a profile for this lens?
I seem to remember that there used to be a lens profile for the Canon 500mm f/4 lens in my older versions of Lightroom 3, but now when I use LR3.6, I see "none" listed when looking for a profile for this lens in the Develop module. Is this a change in 3.6 or am I mistaken? This probably is not a big deal because I don't remember seeing much change when turning on the profile correction before for this lens, but I am beginning to wonder if I was imagining something.... If the profile was dropped from the latest version, are there any independent profiles for this lens? Can you remind me how to load a user developed profile?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm unable to find a profile for my Canon 5D Mark III within the PS CS6 lens correction filter. In fact, Canon isn't even available as a camera make option within the Search Criteria box, nor are any canon lenses. When I click the Search Online button, the prompt reads "No online profiles found".
I have no problem within Light room 4 (the Mark III and lenses are recognized)-- however, I'd really like to be able to use the new Adaptive Wide Angle Lens filter within CS6, which needs the camera's EXIF data to function correctly. I'm using a new i Mac OS X.7
I have LR 4 and now I have bought a Canon 70D. Lightroom said it was unable to interpret the RAW files and directed me to get an update. I have updated to 4.4 and still have the same problem. How can I get my RAW files into Lightroom 4?

View 4 Replies View RelatedProblem: Connects and works once in 30 or 40 tries. Sometimes shows the camera connection and sometimes it will not. Have changed cables, wiggled cables, used different USB ports, and anything else I could think of to do. When it works, the Tethered Capture window does show all the pertinent info and the shutter release button works. Most of the time, it will at least recognize the camera, but none of the settings and will not download to the computer/Lightroom (as seen below). The camera will shoot and record the image to the internal card... just not to the computer/Lightroom.
I have since run maintenance programs, rebooted, changed to 32 bit, etc......
Equipment: Mac 2.2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with Mac OS X 10/7.2 using Lightroom 3 (with all updates including Camera Raw), 4 gigs ram, 500 gig hard drive, with 200 gigs open.
I am testing the trial version of Lightroom 5.2. My new camera is a Canon EOS 70D. When importing RAW files into Lightroom the colors of some photos are wrong. RAWs from my older 450D are fine.
For example on one photo the sky isn't blue but turquoise. When using the DNG Converter I get the same color. The sky was blue though. When opening the file in Digital Photo Professional by Canon, the sky is blue as it should be.
It happens on some other photos as well. Mostly if they have a high blue content. If in Lightroom I increase the blue content and decrease the shades it almost looks as it should.

View 7 Replies View RelatedHas LR3.6 addressed the poor processing of 7D raw files ?
View 5 Replies View Relatedfirst let me tell you that I'm familiar with LR concepts. I read a lot about RAW processing, color profiles and stuff. It all makes sense to me.
That having said... I'm unfortunatly quite unhappy with LR's color reproduction. It seems technically very accurate; unfortunatly -- Canon's own "Standard Picture Style" (so OOC JPEGs) are in most cases much nicer to look at, color-wise. I know it's not me alone having this feeling (just do a quick search).
Adobe provides look-alike profiles (.DCP-files) which are supposed to imitate Canon's Picture Styles. Unfortunatly none of these Adobe-profiles comes close (enough, IMHO) - most annoying thing for me is a strange blue/green cast in darker areas, e.g. shadows in daylight conditions are too bright and too blueish.
Remember, I'm using a EOS 50D (which probably won't get profile updates any more by Adobe, I suppose...)
So here's my question: Can I assume that Adobe already did the best they can to match Canon's Picture Style? ==> stop dreaming about a "better" "canon-50d-standard.dcp"-file. Take it or leave it, stop crying.
Or is there a possibility to tweak existing profiles? ==> find out how. Adobe's DCP editor, dcptool, whatever?

In Develop > Set default settings ...I see it recognises that it is a canon 30D
