After I take a photo into PSCC, make adjustments, then hit "save", the .tif doesn't show up in LR. If I do an "Import", the .tif file shows up grayed out in the correct folder. If I use "save as" and try to drag and drop that file, it will not import as it says that file is already in the catalog. I'm on a new Mac Pro, using the CC.
View 2 RepliesWhen a raw file badge shows that the file has been changed, I use Metadata Save to File & for the large majority of my images, the badge goes away and Metadata Status Changed does not show the file. For some of my files, however, the Save to File command doesn't work properly. If I am only displaying files with changes, the file briefly disappears, then returns. Even if I go to Windows Explorer and delete the xmp file, then again Save metadata to file, it pops up again with the badge saying it needs to be saved. I'm using Lightroom 4.3 64 bit on Windows 7.
View 12 Replies View RelatedWhen I send a file to Ps from Lr, edit that file then save it, Lr puts that file at the end of the line instead of next to the file I was working on. When you have 600 photos in a down loud, it is a pain to scroll through the photo's to find your place again.Â
Is there a setting to force the saved file back in line next to the file that was edited in Ps?
In LR I use a kind of automate to correct files roughly. When I edit a raw file in PS-CC with the ' in LR made' corrections, LR makes a new PSD file in LR. So far so good.

Saving this PSD file it appears to be much different in LR, becuase of the auto correction. The files was allready correctied / develloped before the edit in PS, now I have to reset alle setting back to 0.
I have spent the entire day trying to solve this and I finally found a fix but not the cause. I have tried all the typical ways to sync/read/render to see the xmp data in LR.

After all of this I found the only way for me to see the xmp data is to open the xmp as a text document then save it go into lightroom read metadata and it shows up. This obviously isnt a workable solution for thousands of files so I need to find a cause.

So a little info. I'm using LR5 on a windows. I edit clients images then send them the xmp files with those edits. I have one client thats photos when imported do not show metadata or develop adjustments. This is the only solution I have found to see the info. I believe they are using LR 4 and a MAC.

Is it possible that the problem is the original files are saved on a mac then transfered to my windows machine.
I saved my book in LR.
It shows up as a collection.
How can I add an image to it?
The folder from where I made the book doesn't show the created book anymore.
I have previously imported some raw (.raf) files into Lightroom and done my adjustments - i then saved as jpegs and took all files out of the lightroom dashboard.

I now want to go back into a raw (.raf) file that I have re-imported into Lightroom, and apply the same settings that I did previously to the jpegs before.

Obviously, on re-importing the raw files, they have reverted to the original settings and not the jpeg settings that I saved at.
I created a custom Tone Curve in LR3.6 on Win7 64-bit as an XMP file, changing the default location to another folder. I right click on the Custom <> icon and can see the Save feature and some preset curves, but not the Tone Curve I saved that I called "Backlit Tone Curve.xmp." Do I have to move it to a special folder in the presets directory? I restarted LR and it still did not show up anywhere.
View 5 Replies View RelatedOur new employee is trying to do a custom hatch of a stone pattern, but when he selects it, he gets a message saying it's invalid. I had him copy over the entire PAT folder that I use and tell his support directory to look at it. It works when I use it on my computer. So far none of the other custom hatch patterns give him an invalid message, just this one.
I know he's working on drawings that another ex-employee started. He used a whole different set of PAT files for some reason. I think when we were looking for downloadable files and just used whatever he found. And this new employee is working on the computer of someone that is no longer with the company...so it's impossible for me to find out who did what. Also, I don't know if it makes a difference, but I (and 2 other people) have Architecture 2010, and the rest of the employees have AutoCAD 2011. I don't think this is an issue because no one else seems to have this problem, and like I said before, all the other hatch patterns work.
The thing that doesn't make sense to me is that I'm pretty sure this pattern is a standard custom hatch, because it's found in my "AutoCAD Architecture 2010/support" folder, as opposed to my "ACA 2010/enu/support" folder. But when I go into his system, he doesn't have any of those patterns in his similar folder.
I downloaded Gimp because I wanted to add text to photos. I have a "bazillion" photos, most of which Gimp does not recognize. These are photos imported into iPhoto from my Fujifilm digital camera or they are scans from my HP printer scanned into iPhoto. I hope I don't need to open each file in iPhoto and export it to a different format...
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a customized Acad.pgp file with modified command prompts. I use LLL for LAYUNISO to minimize keystrokes (and am currently using AutoCAD 2013). I have the following line of script:
LLL, *LAYUNISO
However, I save the pgp file and reinitialize the .pgp file with REINIT, but when I type LLL, I get the _limits command not LAYUNISO. In the meantime, I use LLLL for LAYUNISO which seems to do the trick. I ran a search in the .pgp but nothing is showing as LLL, * _LIMITS. I also did an audit and closed down AutoCAD.
My Lightroom 4.4 does not recognize my raw format photos files from my Olympus EP-5. It does recognize files from my Canon 5D marc2. I'm using a Mac computer by the way.Â

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have LR 4.2 installed. I just tried to import my 5D MK III images for the first time and is gave me a camera not recognized (409) error. From what I can see the 5 MK III was supposed to be supported from 4.1 on. Did the tether fix in 4.2 break the native image support? If not, have 4.2 installed that does recognize MK III files (within the past week)? I ran the update check and it reported that I had the latest version installed and no updates were available.

I am running LR4.3 on a Vista 32 bit system. I have a new Toshiba external drive that has been storing my work from lightroom. All has been working great until last night. I was working on photos and all of a sudden a banner came across the top saying photos is missing or offline and then that the folder was missing. The external drive was still plugged in but not lit up. I unplugged it and shut everything down (multiple times) but the drive has disappeared from the selectable drives on the left hand side. I can access the external drive through windows and my photos are there but LR4.3 does not see it. How can I get LR to see the drive again?

After downloading some files today in 4.4 without a problem I encountered the same error message (unable to inport listed RAW files) again. The files open fine in Bridge.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI was trying to put together a slideshow in the Trial Version of Lightroom 1.0(on WindowsXP SP2) and I clicked on the Soundtrack section to add music. When the browse for music dialog came up it only showed drives below my H: drive. I keep my music on my M: drive and could not add music to the slideshow. I tried sharing my M: Drive and mapping it to my F: drive, but when I selected it I got "The folder F: cannot be used, please try another folder." This is a severe limitation.
I was planning on purchasing this version, but it looks like it is not quite ready yet. Maybe I will wait for 2.0. I was also not able to stack photos or change the folder that I import to from the downloader.
I currently use iphoto and have all of my photos on an external hard drive. When I hit import it the program seems to recognize my external hard drive but does not seem to recognize the iphoto subdirectory and therefore shows that there are no photos to import.

I am having an issue with X6's print merge not recognizing a properly formatted numeric filed from my Excel spreadsheet. My first issue was that Corel was adding a decimal point after my numbers. This was when they were still formatted as text fields. (which i still don't understand why, since they were just TEXT fileds)Â
I know that the fields need to be "numeric" fields.Â
FYI i have ALREADY COMPLETED MY TASK by using an "added" numeric filed that i added IN CorelDraw and then used the "Numeric Field Options" at the bottom of the page to get my number sequence.
However, that is not my question.... my question is: How do i get corel to RECOGNIZE a numeric field AS a numeric field in the first place.

Is there any way I can open it again in CS5? Is there a file converter I could use. I just need to basically open the file agian in CS5 so I can continue to edit the certificate. I have tried opening the file with CS5 and CS6 and I get this message:

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm running Windows Vista 64. I create a project in Photoshop CS. I save it. The file is stored in this path: C/Program Files x86/Adobe/Photoshop CS. If Photoshop is running and I click on Open, then navigate to this location the file appears and will open. However, if I try to navigate to the file by starting with My Computer and going to the exact same location as specified above the file does not appear. I've tried searching for it via Search, going through my entire computer and got nothing. And worse, sometimes I will Save a file in Photoshop and then go back to it a few days later and it is not there. I think the problem is where Photoshop actually saves the file. My 1st scratch disk is set to Startup. What does this mean? Is this dictating where Photoshop is saving the actual file?
