Illustrator doens't show my added network locations. Trying to open files from Bridge (or from InDesign) into illustrator results into illustrator opening, but not the file.
The 32-bit version of illustrator does show the network locations.
Running windows 8.1 and Adobe Creative Suite 6
I want to display the network server name automatically (preferably using a diesel expression).
I currently use diesel expressions to show the saved path and drawing name, but since we have a multitude of servers I'd like to show the server name as well. At the minute it just shows the network map name, i.e. N:, but I'd like to prefix that with the actual serve name, i.e. SERV-FILE-1 (or something like that).
I have been using survey database with the working folder set to the project location on our Z:. It was working fine until I come into work this morning and I can no longer open survey databases on the server. I can set the working folder and I can create new databases on the server but I cannot access them. Moving the working folder to a local drive fixes everything.

View 11 Replies View RelatedJust changed to Illustator CS and now when we save with Tiff preview (opaque) and the graphic is imported into Word on a Windows box there is no preview (just a blank box). The file prints correctly. The preview shows ok on Word on a Mac. Anyone have any ideas?

View 2 Replies View Relatedrecommend a good way to indicate the location of cross section sample lines in a profile view (of same alignment) as vertical lines? the sample lines have been created at user defined locations from polylines, and do not follow a particular station order. my first thought was to use transparent command to draw line in profile view using station from plan view, but i have in excess of 100 cross sections, and that may be time consuming.

I use GIMP at work since a few days but we have a shared network folder where we work from (just to pc's) but the shared folder is on the other pc and I always need to save the files on the network folder. But GIMP only recognises the folder itself and not the content in it and all the subfolders.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am new to using Tool Palettes. I have created a folder on my C: drive which contains all my tool palettes. Right now, I get the symbol of a circle with a line drawn through it and cannot use my tool palettes.
In the Options tab, I noticed that there are the "Tool Palettes File Locations" and also "Authoring Palette File Locations". What is the difference between the two? Do I need to do something to both so I can use my tool palettes without difficulty?

I have a network that I showed in a profile view and, to creat my proposed pipes network I simply copied the pipes and structures and used network split.
Now I have two networks, but when I project those pipes and structures into a profile they are not visible.
If I check the profile view properties and look at the pipe networks tab, all the pipes are shown as drawn.
I'm trying to spray some leaves that I have added to my symbols on my canvas, But they end up being sprayed all in the same direction, I want them to be sprayed randomly not all in one direction as the first original leaf, Basically I want to get such a illustration:

I was using photoshop when an error came up about my Nvidia. I didnt read it and i just clicked on OK. Whenever i click on photoshop the blue box thing with all the creators names does not show up. All other adobe products work fine. The version of photoshop i use is CS6.

Now I have following problem and I can't find a solution for it: In the Navigator I have synchronized my complete folder where I store all of my photos. This folder contains more than 50000 photos already in many subfolders. But now I found some subfolders not showing all their content. I can see in the Navigator e.g. 216 pictures beside the folder name but in the preview I can see only 3 pictures! And I found some more folders which doesn't show their full content.
I tried to sychronize the single folder again but Lightroom says there were no new pictures and also no missing pictures to remove from the folder. If I open the folder by the Windows Explorer then I can see that all the files for the 216 pictures are there! So there must be a problem with the lightroom database!
But now I don't know what to do to get the pictures displayed in the library again.
I'm on Lr, edited some files to get a panorama, clicked on "edit in" then "merge to panorama in photoshop. All right until there. The problem is that once clicked it switchs to Ps CS6 and merging the pictures in a panorama but without the editing I did before in Lr (white balancing, lens correction and so on). I mean that Ps creates a panorama starting from the original pictures as if the pictures were not edited in Lr while I would like that - as I always did - Ps starts to work from my Lr's editing. I think that it is something about settings.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently subscribed to the Creative Cloud and installed both Photoshop and Lightroom.
After working with the new LR5 for the first few days I noticed that when I am within the Lens Correction and I click 'Manual' in order to manually correct perspective you always get a grid overlay that shows up when you hover over the different Transform options (Distortion, vertical, horizontal, etc...) and it no longer shows the overlay.
In order for me to correct the perspective I have to manually click Option+Comand+O in order to get the grid, which is a little bit annoying since it was automatic before.
My computer died and needed a lot of work, including a new mother board and new graphics cards. Now LR 4.4 doesn't show photo's. LR seems to be working well in every other way but where the photos should be the spaces are blank.
