I just started up my Illustrator cs6 today, and a screen came up that said Tryout. This the first time its ever happened. After checking out google, I found that similar questions were asked but on torrent sites. I purchased the creative suite fully in September. So, I'm not as to why I would receive this screen.
View 3 RepliesWhen our photographer browses his folders with pictures and double clicks upon one of them (jpg-files always), his Photoshop (he uses CS3 and Windows NT) always opens up the file only shoving it as 16,3% size (or such, I can't remember the exact number)
As a result the picture hardly fills 1/4 or 1/8 of the available space in the Photoshop screen, and he always has to click the picture larger before being able to work in it.
He has recently got a new - and more powerful - computer, and he did not have the same problem when using the old computer, here his files always opened to the maximum possible size.
When ever I start a new sketch in the xz plane (viewing from top down) my sketch rotates 180 degrees. Not a huge deal to rotate it back, but not everything I create is symetrical and when I go to draw the part, I want a certain ISO view to be default. I know you can insert/obtain any view into the drawing but is there an option to stop this rotation or maybe I am not setting up something correctly.

I already have all my settings the way that I want the users to see them when starting AutoCAD 2010 for the first time. But when you first start up AutoCAD 2010 it brings up the Initial Setup screen. I was wondering if there was a way to get that not to display but just open AutoCAD right away.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have had this problem since I started using patterns. Basically when I put a pattern on a path I want to then move it along that path so it starts where I want it to start, not neccessarily on the path's starting point.
There is an image of how it looks like
I created a simple pattern to show my issue. For example I want to move this pattern along this circle so it looks like this (triangle points up)
As you can see I rotated the whole circle to get the right outcome I need, but if it was just a regular path I would not be able to fix it this way.
Is there a way to do that? Something like moving text along a path.
I am using Illustrator CC.
I want it to be a variable stroke, so I loaded up “Width Profile 2” in the profiles. The trouble I am having, is that Illustrator defaults to start the larger dots in the bottom right hand corner, and I would like the “starting point” to be in the middle of the line if you know what I mean. I'm still happy for the dots to start big, then gradually decrease in size, but I want to control where the “beginning” is.

I installed and used with success...then today I happened to look at the Blue Panel that comes up when the program opens. I was surprised to see "Photoshop CS4 Extended" just below the large Ps at the top of that panel.Knowing that the "Extended" version is more expensive...I called customer service and spoke to a lady (sounded like she was from India) who asked me a number of questions, including my serial numbers. She told me I had the regular version, but only because the serial started with a 1045- and she said the extended version started with a 1033 or something like that.I asked her if the regular version had the word "Extrended" in the startup panel...she didn't seem to understand my question but reiterated that because of my serial number I had to have the regular version.Hence my post here...asking if others with the "regular CS4 version have the word "Extended" in the startup panel.I know it might be trival,

It's now Friday evening and I still haven't received a serial number. How long should it take? Other than opening another help request on the Adobe site is there a way to chase this up?I feel really annoyed after buying the software that I have to wait all this time to use it. It says on the box that I cannot install the software without the serial number - is this true? Will it not go into a trial mode until I get the serial number?If anyone can suggest a way for me to move forward I'd be grateful as I have some school projects I want to get finished and I need to use this software.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have CoreDraw X5 installed on my computer. A friend of mine e-mailed me a CorelDraw document she created. I am un able to open it. When I try to open it, CorelDraw opens but does not display the document. So the application is open and I see all the toolbars and everything but the space where I would see the document is grey. I have received CorelDraw documents by e-mail form other friends before without any problem, so it is not the e-mail that is the issue.

Can these be used with Autodesk Map 2012?
After upgrading to LR 4.4 the publish service to Facebook semms to not work anymore.
I'm publishing from the new LR 4.4 to Facebook. I create a new Collection in LR 4.4, enters a Album name and presses the Create button. I see that the Album is created Ok on my Facebook account Then I add some pictures, and executes 'Publish now' After a minute, I gets the message the the 'Upload failed and no returning string was received from Facebook'.
I am using PSP Pro x6. I edit the photo and then send using the link in the program. MS Outllok pops up just fine and reflects that the ".jpg" file is attached. When the recipient gets the email (on their iPad) the file has turned into a ".dat" file. It is definitely a .jpg when I send it out.

I'm here with 2013 SP2 64 bit Build 200 and two screens. Left screen is graphics area, Browser is on the left of right screen. Graphics is ATI Fire Pro V7800 with driver 9.3.3.3000.
In video (zipped MP4) you see a cutout of both screens, think of screens changing at the left of the browser.
Now, in many cases, after doing an operation, the browser is jumping back to the middle of my graphics in the left screen.
I do not have the welcome screen on Illustrator CS6 and I do not have on the "Help" tab line "welcome" for to make it appear. how to find it?

View 2 Replies View RelatedDialog boxes are appearing in various different places rather than a central location on the screen...
For example: the Save dialog appears half off screen towards the lower right section of the display. Various other boxes appear in the top left, upper right. All dialog boxes are moveable, so i can reposition them to the middle but the next time i used appear where they were, not centrally.
I work both on a 13" macook pro seperately and with and a 27" apple display attached. Dialog boxes are visiable on the 27" display but often in odd places.
Is there any way i can reset their position? I have tried reseting all dialogs, trashed the preferences in the preferences in the library folder on the computer but no luck. I am puzzled.
I really loved the welcome screen as it made it working with illustrator a bit more efficient for me. For some reason I cannot seem to get this to come up. In CS 5 I think I could reactivate it in the help screen menu but its not in this version.
View 20 Replies View RelatedI am using two screens and moving Illustrator to the larger screen from my laptop so that I can see things better. I am still using CS2. One day for reasons I still do not understand, my PDF dialog box disappeared. Illustrator thinks it is there, but the only thing I can do is escape out of it. I can't save a file as a PDF, and I need to do that on a regular basis. I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling CS2, but it did not change anything.
How to retrieve a dialog box that has gone off the screens?
I have a client who is requesting that their "image" be saved as a PNG at "715px X 915px at 72 dpi", and have it print with the text crisp and clear. I have tried to convince them to use a PDF instead to ensure that the print quality would be where they want it to be however they reject that idea.
1. They are requesting 72 dpi not ppi. There is a difference, one is screen one is print. You cant have both in my opinion. I have been using ppi, since that is the setting that illustrator and photoshop allows.
2. You also should not save anything for print at 72 ppi. That will not produce the best quality image regardless.
3. I have attempted several different ways to save this.
- I have saved it in illustrator as a png and mulitple resolutions.
- I have used my illustrator png and put in Photoshop and re saved it, after re sizing it. The dimensions in illustrator never seem to stay accurate.
- i have attempted to save it as a PDF and convert to PNG is acrobat.
None of these work. There is no issue getting it to look nice on screen, its the printing part that I am having an issue with. When I save it at anything higher then 72 it increases the dimensions. If I create it at anything higher then 72, the dimensions increase as well. I have not been able to keep it at 715px x 915 px and have it print clearly. They come back and tell me i need to decrease the size, or the text is too blurry.
How do I get this PNG to be 715px by 915px at a 72 ppi (or dpi) resolution look good on screen, and print with clear crisp text?
How can I setup screen resolution in CS6 Illustrator, so I can setup to view my artwork at 100% of printing size when I select View/ Actual Size ?
I was expecting a screen resolution setup like such, but nothing there at Preferences / Units or other preference tabs .
My screen is shifting and shaking (about once a minute) While working in recently installed CS6 Illy.

I like it so much I made a video: URL....(and also showed some touch screen support in a few other Adobe CC programs.)
