View 4 Replies View RelatedI am trying to make a shape made from the blob tool made into hafltones. I do not want it as a gradient, just equal sized halftones throughout the shape. Is this possible?
Â
When I do it using Effects/pixilate/color haltone it makes multiple colored halftones, whereas I just want one color. And when I change the channel's it comes up with similar results.
What technique should I use to make the edge of a video reel border the speech bubble, like in the attached sketch. I've already traced the speech bubble and the exclaimation mark.
View 1 Replies View RelatedEssentially what Iam trying to do is create an image, apply perspective and then alter it so that it looks like it is printed on the inside of a tube. (best description I could come up with for the effect)
I know how to create the perspective in the text but I dont know how they create the circular effect.
I'm trying to do a usable and real flat pattern for a laser cut on this type of part and I'm not able to do a cut across bend or other wrap around face feature.
Any method to do such a feature ?
I'm modeling a band that will be screwed onto the inside of a sheet metal cylinder. The band will be rolled to the ID of the cylinder. I'm trying to model the holes in the band, and place screws into the holes. I'm not sure yet how the holes will be machined out in the shop--whether they'll be drilled or punched, made before or after the band is rolled, placed based upon degree or arc length, etc.
1. Is there a better way to model the band and its holes?
2. How can I properly and easily insert the bolt into the holes since they're no longer "perfect holes" that can be used in an "Insert" constraint.
3. How can I then pattern the bolt so I don't have to insert one into each hole?
what edge effect is used on these two photos?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a Photoshop image, which has been edited down to a shape of a person, with a transparent background. I would like to use this image in Illustrator, and do not need it to be vector, but would like the object to be shaped like the image, rather than a rectangle. How do I get the Illustrator to read the edge of the image as the edge of the object?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm making some graphics to be printed on a car. I have some lines with outer glow on them, but Illustrator won't render these unless I use 72DPI in raster effects reslution. I would like to go higher, but it won't give me anything. Guessing it's to heavy for Illustrator maybe? Is there anything I can do about this? I'm making my graphics in 1:1 scale, but I do it in a lower scale since it's just vector art anyway, however how would that effect my glow? Since it's a raster effect.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am trying to use the sheet metal functionality to generate a flat pattern of insulation that is wrapped around a tank. The insulation essentially consists of a rolled cylinder with tabs at the cylinder ends that are to be folded inward to cover the end plates. I can't seem to find a way to make this happen as every time I am able to generate the tabs in the folded model they don't unfold into the flat pattern.
I am using Inventor 2010.
The image attached has a kind of gloopy effect around the edge of all the text. It's not uniform but is tailored to each curve/angle and it rotates around the edge rather than all pointing in the same direction.
I've tried creating brushes in PS & Illustrator that could follow the curves of the edge but they look neither random or pretty...
I've tried diplacing a halftone line pattern & masking out the bits not needed but it won't curve the same way...
I've tried drawing the paths individually & stroking them with different effects but that just looked plain ugly...
I would like to create an effect wherby this .gif image of the gate swings inward.
