Specifically, is there a Live Paint Bucket effect that can mimic the blue watercolor border in the antique map?
Can you make a Pen Tool path (white), and then, by using the Brush Tool, color it in automatically ONLY within the path's designated area?
Having the ability to do this would enable me to create "digital watercolor" images with texture. I would take the white paths, and then select a color and use the Opacity Tool to make the colors look like watercolor paint by using the Brush Tool. The issue is: can I make a color texture in any path?
I understand that there are hues of blues, yellows, greens and reds involved and that blue goes under "Exclusion" under the layer style but I just cant seem to get it to look right.

Seems like it would be simple enough to create manually (albeit require some time), but even more simple to automate through a 1-click plugin, if it's out there.
filter to apply that gives a watercolor effect such as can be made to work in PS Elements. I really like the way Elements handles it but would prefer to do it all in PSP. Are there such things a plugins for PSP that would work like that?

How to create the effect of an object (in this case a crown) hanging on the edge of a letter (on the end of a word). I am designing a logo for our kids ministry at church. It is called "Kids of the King" and I have an eps of a crown and I want to hang the crown off the K in the word King. I am trying to make it where the back half of the crown is hidden behind the K so it gives the effect of it hanging off the edge of the letter.

I have only seen this effect created once, and I have no idea how they did it. I have some lines with outer glow on them, but Illustrator won't render these unless I use 72DPI in raster effects reslution. I would like to go higher, but it won't give me anything. Guessing it's to heavy for Illustrator maybe? Is there anything I can do about this? I'm making my graphics in 1:1 scale, but I do it in a lower scale since it's just vector art anyway, however how would that effect my glow? Since it's a raster effect.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have many black and white antique prints which I want to colour in photoshop. They are scanned in colour because the paper is old and actually cream and black and white scans of very old paper come out a nasty, dead grey. (Not at all like crisp modern black and white graphics. The etching process of the original means that they are very, very finely detailed.
So far I have been cleaning up the image and then colouring over the top of the black lines. The disadvantage of this is that I lose the sharp blacks. I then go over the important bits with the eraser tool to get the black back but it is very tedious and much is lost. know about opacity and build the colour in opaque layers, and I know the tools to enhance the dark areas such as the dodge tool but these slightly alter the colour and dont restore the blacks lines.
QUESTION: Is there a way to colour in a print and then key out the negative space (white but really cream)and place the cleaned up original black image over the top of the coloured image? This way all the black shading detail would be fresh and clear and the colour will show through.
I have an image with the main subject (a car) and the background which I wish to have set to a Antique Contrast type effect. I think this is what it was called as I placed this text 'AntiqueContrast' in the file name to remind me, but now I can not find anything what I may have done to get this effect.
I either selected the area I wanted to alter or the the area I wanted left alone.
In my 2D drawings I use a lot of splines. I restore/convert antique drawings of ancient boats and sailplanes in/to Autocad 2012. I use these drawings as a raster image and draw precisely over the handcrafted lines. So these original drawings contain a lot of hand shaped (organic) formes that go through, by dimension defined, fitpoints (so as indicated on the original plan) and are tangent to other lines elsewhere in the plan.
As I draw a lot of these splines, I want to manipulate the default settings in order to save time and effort.Is there a way in Autocad 2012 to increase the weight, by default, of a vertex point in such a way so that the vertex point becomes a fit point by itself? What is the maximum value to give to a vertex point? Does it become a fit point then?
When a fitpoint and a vertex point coincide, how to keep them stay that way; that means relocate both at the same time when editing the spline, and not one seperately.
I don't want to see these splines to leave the points they absolutely should go through as I clicked them when drawing the spline. I want splines to be smooth, and to stay smooth even after replacing fit points or vertici. And I don't have the time to re-re-re-re-refine every single spline I draw, as I draw so many. I've tried so hard to fix this problem, but I can't, probably because of incompetence.
I have original watercolors that I have scanned but need to edit and work with in InDesign. I am getting a gray shadow or hue in the "white" areas between the color. I've tried everything I can think of to remove the gray cast but it seems to be messing with the original color and hue. I've tried scanning at 2400, messing with the contrast, shadow and highlights, curves etc, after 3 days nothing seems to work.

She then wants the pen strokes to be colorized and turned into water color strokes.As an experiment I tried using the "Artistic-Watercolor" filter on some thin lines and the results were lame.
All of the watercolor brushes I have seen online seem for comparatively wide stokes.Is there a filter or action that could turn very thin ink stokes into realistic looking watercolor strokes?
i sketch a people face with pencil tools, create another color layer to color the face.
I use a paint brush to paint the face on that color layer, but when i try to apply water color filter the face color turn black color.
Does it mean a single color won't do in a filter effect? even it doesn't work, the color should be remained instead the black color,

I have tried making polyline boundries and filling in different colors with solid hatch, but it is to opaque and covers up all the architectural details. Is there a way to change the color to transparent? Is there a "watercolor" hatch available. I have tried using a dot hatch pattern, but not quote what I'm looking for.
