View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a series of images that are color photos of a three-dimensional, cream colored object. The objects have clipping paths around them and sit on a dark background. I have some new images that I need to incorporate into the layout, but their color is a different "cast", more gray than the other cream images.
I would like to apply the original color to the new images. It would be best if this could be done in the InDesign document, but if necessary, I can do it in Photoshop.
i have been using fireworks for quite some time and it has done everything i wanted it to but now i have hit a roadblock. i have an image set on a blue background and i want to change background color to a dark grey and i want to completely change the image to a dark green. is there a program in photoshop that will do this for me?
View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there a way of changing the range of colour tones used across an image so that for example I have an image of a yellow rose which is made up of yellow, white an grey tones. I want to change this to pink white and grey tones.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an image and all I want to do is change it to a different color. So if the image is mostly red, I want to shade it blue but still keep its quality, meaning the light-red pixels will turn light-blue, and the dark-red pixels will turn dark-blue.
I prefer an option that automatically changes all the colors for the entire image, but if there is a shader tool where I have to manually shade the image, that'll work too.
I input the image, then I went to Image > Mode > RGB, and from there I went to Colors > Colorize and used the sliders to change the image to the color I want.
Is there anyway to change the color of lines in an image? In a graphic image I tried to upload (But it wouldn't do it) I want to keep the background but want to make the lines a sharp white. (they are kind of a grey) Is it possible? (There are only lines and a solid color background)

How to best changel color - not as whole but to convert different section to different colors - I've tried the history brush. I've dragged it into illustrator (which I tried live trace). But I'm not quite getting the flexibility of just painting different areas different colors. Also, what angles work best to avoid strange grid effects?
When creating a new image, it always defaults to CMYK for me... is there a way to set it to default to RGB?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to produce a new logo for our business that has a solid Blue cloud image on a transparent background. I need to add text over this but ideally it will show as white over the cloud background but blue when its over the transparent background.
Cant simply change the color of text as its a curved edge its going over. I assume I will need to do some form of punch out but not sure how to start this.
Here is the image I am working with.
I want to change the color to hex #00aced (0, 172, 237). I tried the colorfy, but the image comes out purple. Another way that has worked for me in the past, with white images, is by clicking on the channel dialog and dragging the red down. Clicking on the eye, next delete the original image and than add a new foreground color based on what color I selected from the palette. Of course this isn't working either since the image is so dark.
Now in channel mixer it could work if the RGB would go higher than 200, but since my blue is 237 this is where I am stuck. It has worked with other colors, as long as the RGB is less than 200. This is by selecting each output individually, for example, starting with red and entering a value in red and leaving green and blue at 0. Next selecting Green, entering a value in green and leaving red and blue at 0, and so on... Is there some type of mathematical solution for using the channel mixer, or simple yet, is there a way of making my image more white, without losing my shadows?

Using, "Color to Alpha," I tried to select the background of my .jpg image. The background is white, the picture (logo) portion is silver. Because of the closeness in color, when I select white, the software selects the entire image to become alpha (transparent).
When I select the color of the picture, silver, I am able to select just the logo portion. How can I take the logo portion, which is now converted to transparent, and give it a black or transparent background, and then return the logo back to its former color silver. The logo is perfect, it is just that I recently switched my site from a white header to a black header and the image has a white background, so that does not look good.
I am taking macro shots of flowers. I am using black mount board as the background color, but it always comes out as light grey or bluish. The flowers etc. are fine.how I get my image background to the color I want, in this instance Black
View 3 Replies View RelatedI created a logo in Illustrator CS5 made of several overlapping parts, all parts have the same Pantone color, but with different intensity (I'm not sure it's called intensity, is the bar, inside the Color Palette by which you can adjust the color from white to 100% of the Pantone color of your choice). What I'm looking for is a way to change the color of all the parts at once with another Pantone with a simple click, without having to manually adjust all the intensity of every single parts again. Now, when I try, all parts changes in the new Pantone color but all are at 100%. If i change only one part at a time the percentage of intensity is observed. I know that i can do it manualy, changing every single part, but i wonder if there is a faster way that i don't know.

See the image below. This is an AI file. So what I want to do is just change it from any color I want like you can do in Photoshop. Is this possible?
I am editing a file for a Realestate customer of mine. For some reason her previous designer didn't understand to make print material in cmyk ( I cant believe how many "designers" dont understand the difference.). I am now going back and correcting that issue so they will print accuratly. Usually I can do this in Illustrator and just go to the edit menu and then go to edit colors and choose convert to cmyk. That option is greyed out in this situation. I am attaching a screen shot. I am using illustrator cs6 on a mac running 10.7.5.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm new to illustrator scripting (but not to javascript or programming. I have an AI file that has multiple layers. each layer has several items that are supposed to be of same color. I have an array of HEX values.
I would like to loop over all items in a single layer, select them and change their color to some given HEX. Once that works, I will run on all HEX entries in array and save each variation in a separate PNG file.
For the first part i wrote some script (see below), but i do not see any change in the file after i run the script. No errors and no change. I run the script once i select all items in a specific layer.
My code:
function hexToRgb(hex) {
var result = /^#?([a-fd]{2})([a-fd]{2})([a-fd]{2})$/i.exec(hex);

How can I change the color of the background in an image from white to transparent?
I am using PSP v7.04
I am having issues with the color warper in Autodesk Smoke Prerelease 6. As soon as you change any values (ie changing the saturation to 99.9%) in the color warper the image glitches out and you see weird inverted colours and other artifacts. It is completely unusable.
The workstation I am currently using is a 12 Core Mac Pro 5,1, 16GB Ram, GTX285.
I do not have the issue with the latest version Smoke 2012.
I am having this problem whenever I synchronize a folder that images have been added into.
Example: I have a folder of images in LR; I export all those images with a watermark, resized, etc. into a separate folder of proofs; even though I performed that batch process using LR, for some reason the app still won't see those images until I synchronize; when I do synchronize, it is shifting the color temp to +8 and the tint to -11; I then have to go back and undo that color temp shift.
How do I get LR to stop changing the color temp of images when synchronizing?
I'm using CS2 on Mac OSX 10.4. Recently I tried importing a Photoshop image into Illustrator and then matching a color in Illustrator to a color in the Photoshop document. But Illustrator changed the CMYK values of the color in the Photoshop document even though I have "Preserve CMYK colors" checked in the color setup window. Both applications and files are set to SWOP v2.
I don't have the same problem when placing either Photoshop or Illustrator files into InDesign.
I ended up recreating the project in InDesign to get consistent color, but I need to know how to make Illustrator preserve color numbers for the project that will come up for which I need Illustrator features.
