Illustrator :: AI CS6 Continues To Not Work
Apr 2, 2013These messages came up while trying to open these two files. They open after clicking OK, but the applicaion bar is completley blank and with no tools showing.

Lightroom :: Installed 4.3 But 4.2 Continues To Load?
Dec 2, 2012I've tried the install multiple times. I'm currently using a mac running osx 10.6.8. 4.2 will start up when I click on the LR icon but there is no GH3 support.

Jun 5, 2011when dragging a clip into a project and for some reason half way through the clip, the video goes black but the audio continues?? It's happened a few times for me when the clip is particularly large eg High Def, 4gb, 25mins long (AVCHD). It makes editing impossible because my VSP x3 crashes when I try to play that clip. When I click the edit bar to the good part of the clip, I get the usual "still picture" at that point, but in the faulty segment, I still get a black preview screen for the "still".
Splitting the clip doesn't work so I'm presuming there's a proxy file problem. Anti-virus was switched off and I allowed sufficient time for the clip to move into the project. A real nuisance when trying to preview & edit.
Lightroom :: 4 Continues To Corrupt Catalog Backups?
Nov 24, 2012Each time I try and make a backup of my catalog, LR4 corrupts it.
This all started when I got my first error message after LR4 crashing on me when I attempteped select "Always write changes into XMP" from off to on in the catalog settings window. I of course didn't freak too much because I knew I had a back up. When I went to open the back up I got the corrupt catalog error again. Not to freak just yet because I have my entire Photo drive being backed up each night to another drive via a backup program. This time I made a copy of the LR4 catalog from the backup drive and replace the corrupt one on my main Photo drive. It opens and I feel like a bad *** because all this backup obsession is being put to use and working. I do a bunch of work with new imports and some old projects the rest of my day. Once finished I decide to close LR4 and make a fresh backup of the catalog using LR4 backup feature. To my surprise, it goes corrupt again corrupting the backup and the main catalog. Now I have hours of work wasted because I haven't run the nightly backup yet. I researched methods for fixing a corrupt catalog and have been mostly successful.
This all being said, what is it that causing my catalog to continue to go corrupt when doing the LR4 backup procedure? One additional piece of the story is that after the initial LR4 crash I lost the Photo drive from the desktop. Meaning somehow it unmounted itself. I did a reboot and it was back.
Photoshop :: Brush Panel Continues To Pop Up Suddenly Over Cursor / CC
Jul 17, 2013whenever I try to use my brush too the brush panel pops up over the cursor forcing me to hit undo or click elsewhere to remove it. This is every stroke of the brush- not when I first switch to that tool. This was not a proble 24 hours ago until I upgaded to PhotoshopCC! I have gone through the preferences menu and made every change to the brush panel that I could. But it still happens. I am on a pc with window8 and 16ram and a Cintiq21.

Feb 24, 2012If I have multiple windows open and close the current one, the screen continues to show the contents of the closed window although the model tree changes to show the active model tree. If I have multiple windows open then the tabs at the bottom of the screen correctly show the active window.

Jun 25, 2012With default settings, when zoomed in and a tool is dragged while active to the top of that zoomed in section it continues upward. Is there an option to change the tools behavior so that it stops when it reaches the top of what you're zoomed in to?
My second question regards the pixel grid. When you zoom in at different degrees it displays different grid patterns. Is there an option to only have it display a grid of horizontal and vertical lines?

Apr 15, 2013I purchased and downloaded BPT-Pro 4-to use with CS6's Illustrator. This version of BPT-Pro has not been released to general public-you cna only get it now if you email and ask. I now have a file FULL of emails back and forth with it's creator, trying to get it to even open in Illustrator 6. I'm working in Windows 7. They keep asking for screen shots to prove that I have the correct version of their plug-in installed. When I run a scan to find a way to open the AIP file-the scan shows that I need Illustrator 5 to open the file. Not 6. But they won't listen and say they don't understand. I think they have a problem with their software but won't admit it. People that I know who are running a Mac say they had problems too and finally got it to work.

Illustrator :: Actions Do Not Work In CS6?
Oct 4, 2013Ever since I upgraded to CS6 (3 months ago) I am having crashes all the time with actions.
I have tried to remake the actions, reinstall Illustrator, disable font embedding, nothing works. I have posted the crash to Adobe many times but no fix, obviously.
Seems to be the saving that crashes Illustrator.
Illustrator :: Can't Make Dot To Do Work
Mar 26, 2009I have an illustration that I'd like to turn into a complex dot-to-dot. It has about 1,500 anchor points.
Option 1. I first investigated to see if there was a way to simply select all anchor points, and convert them into dots... removing the line segments.
Option 2. If I could break up all the line segments at once, I could then apply a pattern brush to them that has one color for the line and a different color for the end point, and then select the color for the line and delete all that is in that color, leaving only the end points. That would work, but I can't seem to find any cutting tool that allows me to select all anchor points at once and cutting them. The scissors only lets you cut one at a time. The slice tool and all the plug ins I've looked at don't seem to do the job.
Option 3. The illustration is one continuous line. I tried to apply a pattern brush to it that has a black dot assigned to the corner segments... but, as we all know, those corner segments get distorted unless the angle is 90 degrees. I don't think this will work.
Option 4. I saw a tutorial that just selects the line and assigns a dotted line to the whole line, then expand it, and delete all the 'in-between' points... that seems very time consuming. It would be quicker I think to just use the brush tool, create a new layer, and manually go to each of the anchor points of the illustration and add the dots manually. I'm trying to avoid that.
I have 96 of these illustrations to do, so it would save me TONS of time.

Feb 27, 2014I get an error telling me that in order to access help, I need to be connected to the internet. I AM connected to the internet (otherwise, I would not be able to post this question). All I am trying to figure out is where in the heck "Text Wrap" moved to since I cannot find it under "Window" or "Text," but realizing I have NO access to help in the program suddenly made THAT the bigger issue here. Feb 3, 2014I have tried saving my project as a PDF so that I can send to different people and print, but no matter which PDF options I chose in Illustrator's final step for saving as PDF I end up getting a PDF with nothing on it! I just had to to a little clean-up to some corners but every anchor-point was perfectliy in place. The new Tracer in CS6 places the anchor-points not at the "Black-Square-corners" of the original image. The attaced image shows the Tracer-Preview and settings. The orange points indicate the not correct traced areas.
