I am trying to make a cool desktop for myself. (attached image of how far i am so far) i want it to be the logo i made reflecting off of a black floor or really dark water, with sparks bouncing off of the logo and the ground/water.

I have played around with the liquify and I am apparently very bad at it because it just distorts it too much. I want it to be a fairly clean replica, like a mirror.
I have an image, of a woman wearing heels, and i wanna remove the old, crappy looking floor from the image, where just the feet and the heels are visible. Is this possible, and easy to do? Here is a link to the picture.. [URL] .....
View 4 Replies View RelatedHow to solve this problem of 'Flattening a large 3d model (hospital ground floor) to a 2d floor plan drawing'. The 3d model was made in Rhino and I saved it as a .dwg file because Rhino kept crashing with the command 'make 2d' (file too large maybe :/).
I don't know AutoCAD 3d so now, I'm trying to just change the line layers and eventually plot it all, but sometimes when I save the progress.... AutoCAD will delete sections of my work sometimes :/
I am trying to figure out how to see the first floor in a five floor building. This model is a 3D Cad file imported into Revit. I need to look inside the building and place equipment on the first floor.

Now My program read that block properties ( Rotation ) and try to replace that with another block .
But becuase the original one is mirrored. you know what happens !.
So I have to know whether the original block is mirrored or not. Then if yes I mirror the inserted one by program as well

Symmetry works out ok - just the mirror tool giving bad results. Works fine in 2011.

I know I can find mirrored blocks by quick selecting scales of less than 0, is there a similar way to select blocks with a negative extrusion?
Even better would be a process (LisP?) to select all the blocks that are mirrored or have negative extrusions.
I want to flip the text, like in the image. Are there any posibilities to do so? The text that is down is the mirror of the text that is up. I've tried to mirror the text, that is down, but no result...

I have a sheet metal part with a fully dimensioned drawing made for it. I then make a mirrored (derived) part out of the original. Is there an easy way to get a fully dimensioned drawing of that mirrored part?
I have tried making a copy of the original parts drawing and then replacing the model that is referenced in the drawing but that just gets me a drawing with a bunch of pink dimensions and I have to drag all the dimension points to reattach them.
I have inv2014 , and im having a problem whenever i mirrored a part in assembly. A hidden dimension of a part always shows up after i mirrored it in assembly, and then i have to go to that part in assembly and turn off the visibility of that sketch/dim.

They are inserting images, mainly their logo and all looks fine untill they print...
When printing the images are all mirrored and flipped? I have tried it in my office and all prints fine.. Obviously this points to his printer but I am not so sure....
I have the problem that the text in text boxes and measurements are displayed wrong. They are somehow mirrored. I tried to many settings but still it didn't changed. To show the problem better I added a picture of the problem.
I use Autocad 2013 on a 64 Bit Win 7 Professional SP1.
Using the same template Text and Dimension style all of the sudden the text is vertical and mirrored and the dimension text is mirrored under the dim line ( above the dim line in normal conditions)
What could be the problem? I did not change anything in the settings, voluntarily, I use this template for years and never had a problem with it till now.

I want the text on my layer to react in negative to the layers underneath. I set the layer to "Divide" but it doesn't affect the entire word. Check out the attachment to see what I mean. The text, "Desirae" is on the layer "lettering" and is set to Divide.
All I want to accomplish is for the word to be readable against the black and white.
I'm trying to get that batman spotlight effect. I want to have it look like I am projecting my text onto clouds. I kinda have decent looking clouds, how to make it look like I'm really lighting up the clouds with a spotlight.
View 5 Replies View RelatedStage 1: I wish to mark up an existing image with transparent, highlighter-like markings. I've come close with paths, stroking with brush, and applying a gradient map (with alpha adjustment), but I would like to get the density of the coloring to vary and I haven't been able to find a combination of brush and gradient adjustment that will accomplish this in a visible way. Specifically, I would like the center of the broad line more transparent and the edges less so.
Am I using the best approach?
Stage 2: Carrying Stage 1 a bit further, I would like the edges of the broad line to be discontinuously more intense than the center, so that they appear as edges. This seems like a gradient map function on the line left by the brush (standard fuzzy, (19)(21x21)) but again, I haven't found a gradient that will do it. I've tried splitting the map, etc, but I may just lack the experience. Or this might be the wrong approach altogether.

I tried this method on my newest image I made a couple days ago...and this is the result. (In Order Before and After.)
In 2.6, when I had a Selection and wanted to delete the surrounding area in a gradual, smooth way, you obviously just go Feather > Select > then apply the desired amount of the gradient.
While that seems to be somewhat similar in 2.8, there appear to be two major differences:
1) The Feather effect now also smooths out the selection itself. So when I select the outline of a human figure and set the effect number high, it smooths the shape out so that it's basically just an oval.
In the past, the Feather Effect did not alter the shape of the Selection for me. Why is this different, now?
2) The Feather effect itself - the color gradiation - is now much less evident. It seems to now just make the whole image dimmer. Why this is and how I can get it to behave as it did in 2.6? (I use this a TON.)
Im using the blend effect with text in 2.8, but after editing and seeing the actual playback it appears too fast. My question is there anyway to slow this effect down?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a complex assembly where I would like to insert a mirror image of it into my project. Some of the parts in the mirror image are truly mirror images of the corresponding parts in the original, while some don't need to be. However, I don't mind if all parts are mirrored. The thing I really want to achieve is to have the mirrored assembly UPDATE when the original changes. Is this possible?
My alternative is to delete, re-mirror the original, and re-constrain each time I change the original. That seems sub-optimal.

Same drawing (attached) with identical settings printed on one PC using DWG to PDF - creates this:
on another PC this:
So, some angle and aligned length dimensions are mirrored.
PDF previewed with Adobe Reader and Foxit PDF reader.
File is created and printed in 2010 LT, hence no UCS rotation, text style and print settings unaltered.
I am using the Enhanced Custom Grid in Architecture 2014. Everything is right about the grid except that the text inside the bubbles is mirrored. I am looking at the plan view (not the bottom) and my UCS is square to the world so I'm not sure what's going on.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm having a bit of a frustrating issue with flipped faces. Basically I have an object that i am trying to mirror over as an instance. Just like dozens of other object within the same scene, MAX decides to flip the faces on the mirrored object. Simple fix would be to highlight the affected object and flip the faces back. This only causes the "unique" object to flip backwards instead. So, because the objects are instanced, the objects are essentially "swapping" flipped face orientation between the two always leaving one of them with flipped faces. Iv'e tried adding a normal modifier to one, but still resulting in the same issue. I have also tried messing around with resetting x form.

I want to edit some parts in the new mirrored assembly, but I cant.
