I need to edit around 100 pictures like this: [URL].......
Here I already made most of the background white and then tried to adjust the closer background with the Level-Tool, but just influences my dress too much
I read many tutorials, but they all don't work for me. The fuzzy tool is useless, because part of the background is always involved in the dress.
Is there any way to change the background to white and maybe a tutorial for this special kind of picture?
How do I edit a photo so the background appears out of focus?
My pal here at work has a photo of his father in law running a Marathon and wants to get it framed for his upcoming birthday, unfortunatley the runner just behind him (in the photo) is quite prominent so he wants to try and remove/edit.
I was asked to cut out the background from a logo to make it transparent so the logo would look nice on a variety of backgrounds. I've been given a good quality jpeg file.
What I did was I selected (by colour) the background (white), inverted the selection, copied it and pasted as a new image.
It's all fine (the logo itself doesn't have any other elements) but there's still some whiteish/greyish outline around certain elements of the logo.
If I were to do it manually, it'd probably take ages. What would be the best way to accomplish it?
In Menu Templater, you can have a main menu with different chapter, you can edit the background image and music for the Main Menu!
Questions:
1. Can I edit the background image and the music for the chapter page?
2. Can I edit the name of the chapter? I try to edit from the movie, double click the mark and type in new names, but when output, the name is different!
I've opened a photograph in CS3 (whereas the photograph is the background layer), and subsequently tried to use any of the tools (clone, eraser, etc) for editing with no success. Everything appears to be working properly with the tool bars, but when you click on the image to use it, nothing happens.
I thought maybe it was an issue with the layer being locked, but I've tried copying/pasting the image as a new layer in a new file (layer is unlocked at that point), but it still doesn't work.
I am trying to make a Christian calendar and entered text on to my background layer and can not edit this. I have tried to duplicate the background layer so it is not locked but I still can not edit this text.
I have a jpg file that I must use as a background in a Dreamweaver project. There is some text embedded in it that I can't edit. I have tried using Illustrator and Photoshop but I lack experience so I'm probably missing something.
The file address is lecaff.fr/images/home_banner.jpg
I want to change a 1920-1080 p background, into a 1920 - 1200 background.
I don't want to re-size it or lose image quality, the background for this can be easily replicated through some simple editing (drawing strait lines with the paint brush tool, and basically filling in to expand the background) Is there a way to do this? Here is the picture I want to change:

I just want it so that the pin-wheel design extends outward as to make the entire image 1920-1200, rather then the 1920-1080 it is now. (without losing image quality of the center wheel.)
When I'm working in guided or quick edit I'm fine but if I switch to full edit mode I lose the gray background and my workspace turns parent with my desktop showing through. I can still work on the photo but the workspace itself is changed.
I can't edit gradients in 2.8. When I try to select segments of a gradient in the Gradient Editor, the entire gradient will be selected; it won't allow me to select individual segments or the points that make up the segments in order to change the colors. If I close the Gradient Editor, then reopen it, I can get the first segment selected and can change the endpoints, but I can't switch to the second segment. I was editing a FG to BG gradient with a smooth blend, but the edits caused a hard line change in the middle.
If necessary, I'll run 2.6 to do the things I need to do, then drag them over to 2.8, but I'd rather not have to keep jumping back and forth if I can avoid it.
I would like to edit an animated GIF. I can open it in GIMP and the various frames appear as layers - all good so far. I would like to paste in an object into each frame then re-export. The problem is, many of the frames have large transparent sections in them. I'm guessing this how the original program saved some space in the GIF file - by using transparency in areas that don't change from the first few frames. Is this going to cause issues, and if so, is there a way to export all the frames as images with the full detail rather than looking like a series of cheese-graters?
I can't change the size of text I'm adding to any image in Gimp. I go in this order. Click the text tool, choose my font, change the size from 18 to 300 click the area I need to type and then all of a sudden the size resets back to 18! even if I choose the "Use editor" option from the Text tool window the problem persists.
So i have been having a bit of a issue editing the text in the following PSD file the text says Allrounder and i wanted to change it but using gimp i can not find the layer to do so ?
I just purchased a plr blog and I cannot figure out how to edit the header text. I want to change the text to match my domain name. The file is a psd but I believe gimp can edit psd? The header is:
I've been trying to learn how to use the paths tool to edit thing's out and what not - whenever i try to make the last connection though it just turns into a curve automation thing and seems to mess thing's up?
I've attached images of how the first and the last line look.
I'm trying to edit the text on this file by selecting the layer that contains the text, I can move the layer/text, but for some reason I can't edit the actual text.
I have a picture, I am looking to take one pixel of color and copy it nearby over another pixel. How do I do this? try to inform me about the exact brush and size I need to select as I cannot figure out the correct combo to do so.
I am using Gimp version 2.6.11 under Mac OS X version 10.4.11.
I am having a problem that is driving me to distraction: When I close a file and open it again, it is impossible to edit the text. Please note that before saving the file, I have no problems editing the text--so I have already passed hurdle.
It wouldn't be so bad if it was just a word or two, but I am in a situation where I will have to delete several paragraphs of text and re-type them in order to fix a small typo. With my typing skills, it is likely that I will make another typo in the process. And, of course, I don't remember what font I was using, or the type size, etc. etc.
I'm trying to create an image which emulates a solar corona (it's basically just a blurry circle). It's as easy as making one brush stroke in gimp, but my problem is that i can't get all the channels to be correctly set.
Ultimately i just want to edit the alpha channel, NOT the RGB ones. They should all be pure white, or 255, 255, 255. But for some reason, no matter how much masking or color selection or clicking only the alpha channel and not the RGB ones or anything that i do, i cannot keep the RGB white while editing the alpha channel, every stroke that affects alpha seems to invariably affect the other three.
I'm making a .gif image but the video clip frames I imported have an undesirable rectangle at the very end (it's just starting to fade in). So I'm trying to go frame by frame and edit each layer individually to erase the rectangle. I only have a handfull of frames to edit and then I should be good to go but figuring out how to switch to editing other layers has proven difficult. So far if I turn off the top layers when I try and edit the underlying layers it only draws on the top layer. I didn't want to move any of the layers since that would be much harder than just editing them where they already are.
How to edit text from psd file (photoshop) in GIMP? I can only change the layer title and not edit the text box. Will it be possible in future GIMP versions or maybe there is a plugin that allows this?
I exported a few png's out of Avid that I want to edit in Gimp and bring into After Effects. It's a process I've done many times before. However, none of my tools seem to be working. They either give me the circle with a line through it or have no effect at all. I've found a few similar posts on various websites, but none of the solutions have worked for me. It's a brand new file, I'm opening for the first time., which is the only variable I can think of.
I cannot edit the brush size. I've tried going in and editing it...to no avail. No matter what it says, the size remains the same...big. I tried resetting everything. No luck. I tried uninstalling/reinstalling about four times now.
I am trying to access the edit original (edit with) option to edit a photo that has not been edited yet. I right click and go through the edit menu and does not appear or is not available? Would I have to reopen it manual in photoshop or is there a way around this to access that setting? it sometimes does not appear on my already edited photos.
I would prefer not to open each photo again, as some files i do not have and were imported into the document with another computer.
