Sep 15, 2013I'm a consistent yet still newbie user who uses GIMP in lieu of other photo editing programs. how to get my Toolbox and Tool Options to seam back together? I somehow pulled them apart, and when I click on 'Lock Tab to Dock' it does nothing, they're still separate.

GIMP :: Find Option That Is Controlling Color Picker
Nov 13, 2012so under edit pref and input controllers. I edited the scroll button of the mouse to have zoom in and out. works like a charm. Now, i have seleted to edit the ctrl+scroll up and down features to change brush size. Problem is, it works great right after i have selected the brush and type of tool i want, but as soon as i paint on the image and then hit the ctrl button, it now displays the another tool and i think its the color picker. I try to also scroll the mouse wheel and nothin.
I cant seem to find the option that is controlling the color picker or whatever that tool is to come up when the i hit ctrl. I even searched for color picker under keyboard shortcuts.

Apr 21, 2010Let's say a have an image mask (see image shown below) where the white areas are the selection islands and then apply that to an image. What I want to do is get the average color for each selection island in that object. Just blurring gives you a gradient effect and if you blur too big, you just get a single color. That's not what I want.

Nov 23, 2013i would like to fill a selection exactly with a defined color (full red). I want everything inside the selection to be full red and everything outside to be untouched but I don't managed to do it.
With the bucket, even in normal mode with opacity 100, "fill whole selection", there are still pixels outside the selections that become half red. With the pencil, same story.

Feb 22, 2004I have PS 7.0 , I am running dual monitors. When I open my unsharpen filter, i can't find the dialog box. I have the same problem with new adustment layer levels. I have tried moving , hiding tools and can't find the dialog box. I have to end the program through the XP task window. I have never had this problem before any suggestions.

Oct 16, 2013I'm currently updating a LOT, and I mean A LOT of old forms, I have to replace the old Helvetica fonts for a new set we bought recently, and I realised that the Find Font dialog box is no longer "extensible". Is this now a "normal" behavior for Illustrator? Is there a workaround, or a preference somewhere I missed?
If this is a choice from the developers, let me say that removing features IS NOT a good way to go!In the meantime I'll revert to CS5 for that particular batch..If CC is going the same way I.E. removing features instead of improving old ones I'll pass..

Feb 27, 2009This didn't used to happen, but now whenever I open an Illustrator file, the "Find Font" dialog opens as though the fonts I'm using aren't found. Not sure what it wants me to do because no matter what I try nothing resolves. I simply click the "Done" button and go about my business. And there are no problems. Why is this happening? and why now? My fonts are always loaded before I open the file, the file looks and handles just fine.

Nov 17, 2012I try to copy+paste a shape from Illustrator CS5 to Photoshop CS5 (Windows). My goal is to recieve a shape layer I can use in photoshop. But it just copies it as a VectorSmartObject and I can't convert it to a shape layer. I read, that "normaly" or at least in the Mac version a dialog box should appear, which let's you choose how you want to paste it in ( SmartObject/ShapeLayer/...). This doesn't happen. Is thia bug?

May 15, 2013I just upgraded to Autocad 2014.
With regards to selection cycling, when it's turned on, the dialog box pops up in the middle of my screen which is exactly where I DON'T want it as that's usually where I'm working and it causes all kinds of selection issues. Regardless of the settings I choose in the options, it comes up in the middle of my screen.
I've tried setting the position to static and then dragging the box to the side but on the next click, it pops up in the original centered location. I've also tried every possible configuration in the options box to stop this behavior.

GIMP :: Selection Handles On Non-freshly Created Selection
Mar 1, 2013Right after one makes a selection, say by using the Rectangle SelectTool, is presented with handles that allow altering the selection.
If one then selects another tool without deselecting is being deprivedof these handles while the selection remains active thus rendering himunable to alter the selection in that fashion.
Thus forming my question: is there a way to make these handles to(re-)appear on a non-freshly created selection?

When I issue the Wblock Command I can not find the Dialog box to select objects and file location... This happens in the Layer Dialog when I try to change the color of a layer, the Color Dialog box can not be found. When I use the Block command the dialog box pops up, so I can see it.
