View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm using the file dialog snippet as the foundation for a save as dialog box for saving a new copy of my template assembly to a project folder. Is there a way to disable the ability to click on a file in the window which puts that filename in the input box? The assembly file name is standardized and pre-"calculated" by my code and its a decent hassle if you accidentally click another file because the user would either have to rewrite the file name by hand, or cancel out of the dialog box and re-navigate to the project folder.

When I go to the file open dialog box and start typing in a file name the the file name box it does not show a list of drawings that match the search in the file name box.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have loaded an xref in to my working file. I temporarily unloaded the xref so that it would not be in the way as I was editing my drawing. Even though the xref is unloaded and I can not see it on screen it still highlights and becomes visible as if I picked it with my fence while I am trying to edit other entities to my drawing.

The image file is 'mm_logo.png', and it lies in the same directory as the script itself. Here's the relevant fragment:

Sadly the image fails to appear when I run the script (although the dialog itself and items such as panel lines and buttons do appear).
The documentation suggests I may need to supply the 'current' property of the 'Folder' class.
When the spaces are auto created, is there a way they would include doors? I mean, doors are also floor area and they should be also scheduled/added to the space.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm working on designs in Illustrator and preparing an InDesign document with all of the graphics in one file for the client to review. The artboards are set to the size of a pier sign that will be all wood, but there are left graphics on the wood that will be laser cut and these extend beyond the edge of the wood. When I place the separate artboards in InDesign, they are cropped to the edge and I'd like to show how the left graphics extend beyond it. I've tried different import options but none of them show beyond the trim. (Also, if it makes a difference, the artboard sizes are fairly large—about 60" wide)
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am installing the programs on my new 64 bits computer , which runs windows 8 in a language which is not english.At the very beginning of the setup I noticed that it detected the language of sist. op. and that it would install cs6 in such language.
If I install cs6 I will have all menus , tools and resources in other language and it will be very cumbersome to work with it.Perhaps with the best of the intention to make people feel comfortable with their own language you have made it this way.But there are several other guys like me that want it IN ENGLISH. As a long time user of photoshop I never worked in other language than english and I will never do it.
It looks like it is a new trend to detect the op sistem language , I have had the same problem with Nero Platinum 12 , and others.Is there a way to install Cs6 in English ?

The same problem also appeared when I tried to open a drawing direct in autoCAD or when I search the file to make an exref into the drawing.

With regards to selection cycling, when it's turned on, the dialog box pops up in the middle of my screen which is exactly where I DON'T want it as that's usually where I'm working and it causes all kinds of selection issues. Regardless of the settings I choose in the options, it comes up in the middle of my screen.
I've tried setting the position to static and then dragging the box to the side but on the next click, it pops up in the original centered location. I've also tried every possible configuration in the options box to stop this behavior.
I installed architecture 2011 last night. When I installed it, it did not remove my 2008 verison. So all my files are still opening the 2008 verison. I do not have much space on my hard drive, so if I uninstall 2008, will there be a problem with 2011?
Is there any reason to keep the 2008 version?
Second problem: in 2011, I click on the open button and it does not open a dialog box. It only gives me a line in the command line. same thing happens when I try to save as.
Is there a way to eliminate the array dialog box and revert back to entering array values on the command line?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have 2 computers with Windows 7 OS and 2011 ACA installed with a custom profile set current. When I select annotative text, right click and select ADD/DELETE SCALE, the Annotation Scale dialog
box SHOULD open.... but it does not. I have this same profile set on other computers with Windows 7 and they are working fine. We have completely uninstalled ACA, wiped the registry clean, and reinstalled...
it's still doing the same thing. I can switch to the Out of the Box profile and the dialog box opens as it should. I'm not sure where to look within the profile for the issue since it's working on other computers.

How can I fix the following:
In AutoCad (I am working with ACA 2012) there are several dialog boxes e.g. the "rename" dialog box that always show up in the same (too small) size.
After renaming e.g. a block, the window closes and I have to repeat the command to rename another item.
I would like to size the window and keep the setting and would like to keep renaming things without getting interupted by automatical closeups of the window.
I would like to create a master background layer that multiple pages will be built over, while retaining the ability to edit the master background layer after-the-fact which will automatically change all the subsequent pages.
Similar to how an include file would work on a webpage, ie: create the menu as an include file, then all pages that reference that include file would have their menus changed when that single include file gets modified.
Or another way of looking at it: like how headers/footers work in word, ie: change the header or footer and all pages in that document are automatically modified.

I use 2013. The xref pallet was docked but has disappeared. Also, when I type 'xref' at the command line, the xref dialog box does not appear. How do I get them back?

Changing the customizing windows fonts do not increase the size of anything. When I use the File Open dialog box, for example, I always want it to be bigger so I drag the corner to enlarge it, but the next time I call it it's back to the same default size. Can I drag it to a new size and make that stick, a variable set differently perhaps, or is something more sophisticated involved?
