When I want to edit the annotation scale of an object, the dialog box seems to open, but I cannot see it. I copied my profile from my computer with two monitors, so I suspect that is the problem. I tried Alt + down arrow, then right and left arrows to see if I could find it, but that did not work. CMDDIA is 1.
View 1 RepliesThe second sub (NormalTest) below creates the ClientGraphic and the first sub (NormalTest_MagnitdureChange) attempts to lengthen the associated LineSegment in the Y direction so you must select a face along the XZ plane so the before running the second sub so that the line segment runs only in the Y direction. That said, when I run the first sub its 2 MsgBox display the before and after coordinates which does display the ending points Y coordinate doubled but graphically there's no change. If you run the first sub again you'll get the same results meaning the double length did not take the first time this sub was run even though oLineSegment.EndPoint.Y has changed according to the after MsgBox from the previous executing of the first sub.

I have a dual screen set up. I left work last night with no problems. I fired up my PC this morning and all of a sudden all of my dialog boxes appear on my second screen. I have disconnected the second screen and all the boxes return to normal. Plug the second screen back in and the dialog boxes go back to the second screen.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI installed architecture 2011 last night. When I installed it, it did not remove my 2008 verison. So all my files are still opening the 2008 verison. I do not have much space on my hard drive, so if I uninstall 2008, will there be a problem with 2011?
Is there any reason to keep the 2008 version?
Second problem: in 2011, I click on the open button and it does not open a dialog box. It only gives me a line in the command line. same thing happens when I try to save as.
I loaded autocad R2013 and went into the .cui dialog box to look for the screen menu section. It used to be under the legacy portion but it's no longer there. I've been looking all around to try and find where it's at.

box SHOULD open.... but it does not. I have this same profile set on other computers with Windows 7 and they are working fine. We have completely uninstalled ACA, wiped the registry clean, and reinstalled...
it's still doing the same thing. I can switch to the Out of the Box profile and the dialog box opens as it should. I'm not sure where to look within the profile for the issue since it's working on other computers.

In AutoCad (I am working with ACA 2012) there are several dialog boxes e.g. the "rename" dialog box that always show up in the same (too small) size.
After renaming e.g. a block, the window closes and I have to repeat the command to rename another item.
I would like to size the window and keep the setting and would like to keep renaming things without getting interupted by automatical closeups of the window.
If I double click a workplane in the browser, the edit dimension dialog comes up half way off screen, does not remember the screen position if I move it, so it has to be repositioned every time. Seems to be tied to the browser position.

When I use the File Open dialog box, for example, I always want it to be bigger so I drag the corner to enlarge it, but the next time I call it it's back to the same default size. Can I drag it to a new size and make that stick, a variable set differently perhaps, or is something more sophisticated involved?

View 2 Replies View RelatedNormally I use two monitors, but I'm travelling. Because I last placed the extrude box on my other monitor I can no longer get access to it on the only screen I have left. Normally, as with any window, you could hit Alt+Space and M but....the blasted mini-toolbar takes focus first!! It seems that all the other menus don't have this, only extrude. Is there any way to reset menus when disconnecting? There really should be. I'd say that the program ought to know that there is only one monitor connected and respond accordingly.

I have a user who is experiencing a blank or improperly rendered layer dialog box from time to time (see image attached).
I've seen this with another user at a different office as well. I assume its a video driver issue but as I'm strictly a CAD manager and not IT support, messing around with that is outside my responsibilities.
A restart usually fixes the issue but I figured I try to at least find out of its a known issue with a known cause (and a known fix).
Is it possible to purge page setups from the plot dialog?

View 4 Replies View RelatedDialog boxes are appearing in various different places rather than a central location on the screen...
For example: the Save dialog appears half off screen towards the lower right section of the display. Various other boxes appear in the top left, upper right. All dialog boxes are moveable, so i can reposition them to the middle but the next time i used appear where they were, not centrally.
I work both on a 13" macook pro seperately and with and a 27" apple display attached. Dialog boxes are visiable on the 27" display but often in odd places.
Is there any way i can reset their position? I have tried reseting all dialogs, trashed the preferences in the preferences in the library folder on the computer but no luck. I am puzzled.
I am using two screens and moving Illustrator to the larger screen from my laptop so that I can see things better. I am still using CS2. One day for reasons I still do not understand, my PDF dialog box disappeared. Illustrator thinks it is there, but the only thing I can do is escape out of it. I can't save a file as a PDF, and I need to do that on a regular basis. I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling CS2, but it did not change anything.

Before using the quick selection tool, I am able to smoothly zoom in and out by holding Ctrl+Space and dragging with the mouse.If I use the quick selection tool, however, the marching ants line turns into a strange box. I no longer am able to zoom smoothly but instead with the technique above I draw a rectangle which I zoom into. This indicates to me, that OpenGL has been deactivated. I want my smooth zoom back!
I noticed that the preferences always show OpenGL as active, no matter which of the above "state" I'm in. I tried updating my AMD graphics card's driver without success. I found a post describing similar OpenGL problems on the same graphics card and installed the linked driver; the post was 2 years old, but it worked. Re-installing more recent version (Catalyst-Version 12.6) brought the problem back. Newer versions of the driver seem all to suffer from the same problem.
I'm using Windows 7 64-bit,64-bit Photoshop Extended from CS5 Production Premium,AMD Radeon HD 4600 (currrently Catalyst-Version 13.1).
I tried: "Downgrading" the driver (only really old version worked, as mentioned above),reseting Photoshops preferences (Ctrl+Alt+Shift at start),deactivating OpenGL (reactivating only works after restart and problem reappears) but I miss the smooth zoom.
When Autocad is started, it appears to be in a maximized window (it covers the entire screen and the windows maximize icon in the upper right corner shows maximized, but if I click on the top of the screen I can still drag the location of the Autocad window as though it was not maximized. Clicking the windows button to show in a window reduces the Autocad window as it should and re-clicking to maximize APPEARS to maximize Autocad, but it can still be dragged from the top of the screen.
This is not a windows problem, because all of my other programs (internet explorer, MS word, etc.) will maximize as they should.
I am running windows 7, 64 bit and Autocad 2014.
I am trying to activate my free student version of autocad architecture 2013, and the serial number I am provided on the first activation screen is invalid on the next page.
