Jul 19, 2012I have tried just about everything and the mass properties center point of gravity is coming out incorrect.
I have created a box 300x300x300 with the center of the box at 0,0,0 (for testing the cg) . The result I get is not 0,0,0 one of the values always comes out to be not zero, depending on the orientation of the box. Is this a bug?

AutoCAD Inventor :: Put Default Orbit Center To Center Of Screen?
Aug 22, 2013I'm having some fits with the constrained orbit center. It seems to me that It used to always be in the center of the screen when I would use Shift and CMB. Now it seems to be stuck on the center of my assembly/part. I know that I can hit F4 and long select LMB to re-center but I have never had to do that before the last day or two. I have uninstalled all the Beta Add ins I had installed and I have even uninstalled and reinstalled Inventor Pro 2014.
Is there an option somewhere that puts the default Orbit Center to the center of the screen?
3ds Max :: Arch And Design Metal Coming Out Transparent?
Feb 7, 2013I am using some A&D MR metal material in my scene and it is coming out transparent. The same is happening for any material that has a shine/reflection. It looks like a poor quality 'cloaking device' type effect.
I am rendering with Mental Ray using a bitmap environment background, daylight system and MR photographic exposure.

Oct 16, 2012The company I'm with recently updated their settings across the network. Now, when I step away from my computer for longer than 10 minutes a screen saver automatically comes on. Upon entering the password and getting back to the desktop, AutoCAD comes up with a FATAL ERROR:

I cannot disable the screensaver, I'm running AutoCAD Mechanical 2011 (updated with SP2); Windows XP Pro SP3, 3.25 GB RAM, Matrox M9128 LP PCIe x16 (Latest Driver) dual monitors.

Jul 12, 2011My project is NOT wide-screen. So I go to Settings and undo wide-screen. Everything is now fine. But, the next time I start up VS Pro X4, I find it has reset itself to wide-screen. Must I undo this each time I start up. I can't find anything in preferences that will keep it at my project setting.

I have had CS2 on my old desktop computer and laptop using XP with no problems. The program works fine after I get the registration screen out of the way, but it is a nuisance.

Aug 29, 2012I have never written a script but I figure this task is a good place to start. We currently have almost 8,000 files that all use different dimension styles, leader styles, layers and layouts. (All before I got here) I have successfully used the design center to where we can open an old drawing then go through and add all of the new 'standard styles, layouts, and layers'
can I write a script that will add all of these at once. It is not that it is that terrible of a job to do, but like I said my thought is it will be a good way to learn more about scripts, and we have a lot of drawings this needs to happen with.

I had been getting fatal errors on opening the program with the very same message. That has since passed but now it is happening when I try and open ADCENTER either at the command line or the ribbon button.

Jul 25, 2012We have both 2012 and 2013 AutoCAD at work, and both versions are having the same problem. When adding favorites in Design Center, it does not show up. The shortcut is actually there if I browse using Windows Explorer, but it does not show up in Design Center. I guess this is some issue where shortcuts do not show up, which is beyond me because that is how the Favorites system is supposed to work.
I should add, this is not an issue on some of our older machines running AutoCAD 2009.

Normally all three come in fine, occasionally only two will come in. I have a drawing that I am trying to insert my table styles into and none of them are inserting! Dec 25, 2011Since upgrading to AutoCAD LT 2011 I cannot use the Design Center for inheriting objects such as layers, blocks etc between drawings. I have a few different drawings open which are displayed in the tree view of the 'open drawings' tab in the Design Center. But the objects of the drawings are not displyed. No +-sign in front of the drawing name, no icons in the icon field, just a summary at thebottom saying '0-items'.
