I have a drawing with 3 table styles I've saved that I can usually insert into my drawings using design center when I need them. Normally all three come in fine, occasionally only two will come in. I have a drawing that I am trying to insert my table styles into and none of them are inserting! I don't know if there's a setting preventing this command or what.

I insert Content Center part, for example I have a hexagon bolt. For example I chose the hole diameter but did not take the surface. In this case Inventor pop up the table with possible list of fit bolts.
The question is: How to alter this table by choosing the columns of this table?
For some items it is too big, I wish I can choose only required columns for custom items.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWe have both 2012 and 2013 AutoCAD at work, and both versions are having the same problem. When adding favorites in Design Center, it does not show up. The shortcut is actually there if I browse using Windows Explorer, but it does not show up in Design Center. I guess this is some issue where shortcuts do not show up, which is beyond me because that is how the Favorites system is supposed to work.
I should add, this is not an issue on some of our older machines running AutoCAD 2009.

design Center - display order goes out the window. The inserted block is redefined but the rest of the drawing loses all its display order. sortents (127, 33, 51, etc) and displayorderctl does nothing, either before or after the block is redefined. hatches and blocks just jump to the front (display order shows as order of drawn not order as moved to) Regenall does nothing.
absolute nightmare with display order managed elevations (solid hatch, baconies, windows, multple buildings, all overlaying!!)

I have a image scanned at 400dpi and the image is a good quality image, some of the text is small be legible. When I insert the image with the imageattch command the image seems to gain pixels therefore causing some text to become unreadable. I've used the bitonal filter but then I lose some resolution. Is it normal for the TIFF image to appear more dense when brought into an Autocad drawing? If so is there a way to adjust the image to look more like the scan?

I just cannot find how to get the document's available table styles.
I'm developing for AutoCAD 2012.
In our company, we put Excel tables in our drawings. The reason we've chosen for Excel-tables is that we can adjust the layout of the table quite easily. These tables consist of grouped cells in a particular company-specific layout. We select the range of the desired cells, copy and paste them in our AutoCAD drawing. This drawing is sent to our customers. The disadvantage of this method is, that when our customers (who use CAD-software of other brands) open the dwg, they don't see the table, but some kind of picture of the table.
Is there a way to 'explode' the excel-table, but keep the specific layout of the table? For attributes in blocks there's the 'Explode Attributes'-command in the Express-tools, but is there something similar for Excel-tables?

I have made up templates with design styles (line thicknesses etc.).
However, when I try and load these templates up, the design styles do not load with the template as an error messgae appears. This has been attached.
I want to open a template up and for it to open with these design styles automatically loaded as default.
I am using Inventor 2012 LT.
How to insert the point table into paper space rather than model space and creating a mview?
Also, is there a way to add the point style symbol to the table?
How to reuse table styles? I have tried design center but when I bring in the table style it changes the sizes. I have also tried to create a block, but when I explode it to modify the table cells it will change the sizes still.

There must be a way, but it is hidden under an obscure method or property title which I can't identify or find on the internet or in the Object Browser.
we have tables as a standard in the office, each table is of the same table style on the same layer.all properties for all table borders are set to Bylayer (G-ANNO-TEXT color70).
the issue is- in AutoCAD 2014 open a template dwg with the Layer G-ANNO-TEXT in the template place the table on the current layer it does not adopt the properties of any other layer until you go into tablestyles and modify the settings for all borders
I have never written a script but I figure this task is a good place to start. We currently have almost 8,000 files that all use different dimension styles, leader styles, layers and layouts. (All before I got here) I have successfully used the design center to where we can open an old drawing then go through and add all of the new 'standard styles, layouts, and layers'
can I write a script that will add all of these at once. It is not that it is that terrible of a job to do, but like I said my thought is it will be a good way to learn more about scripts, and we have a lot of drawings this needs to happen with.

In ACA2008 there seems to be a maximum of 10 Cell Styles allowed in a Table Style? When I try to make a new 11th style, one of the existing 10 styles gets supplanted by the new style.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have been using 3 common table styles for our drawings and use design center to drag them (from one drawing, where they all reside) into my drawings. I have recently tried this and for some unknown reason they are not coming into my drawing.
I purged everything and still no luck. When I open a new, blank drawing and try it, it works fine. Not sure what could be preventing this command from working in the drawing I'm trying to get these tables into.
When I go to plot, my plot styles table only shows .stb files. I have a bunch of .ctb files that exist in the plot styles folder, and everything is pathed correctly but the .ctb files do not show up in autocad. How can I get these files to be available?
(They do show up in some drawings for some reason though, just not when I create a new drawing file.)
How do I open the Design Centre and see "blocks" that are bound xref with $0$ in the name, unless the bindtype is set to insert.

View 1 Replies View RelatedThe product is AutoCAD 2013 Architecture. It installed fine. Typically, as part of the install routine, I go in to the Plot dialog and set the plot style table to monochrome.ctb.
However, on this particular install... something is different. When I open the screen, typcially the plot style table is set to 'none' and I then set it to monochrome.ctb. That is not the case on this one. It is defaulting to AEC Standard.stb and monochrome is not in the list.

I read elsewhere to run CONVERTPSTYLES at the command line. I tried that and it did work..however it does not hold the setting. If I close and restart CAD, I am right back to the AEC Standard.stb default again.
This seems to just be a problem with new drawings? If I open one from the network, it does have the monochrome.ctb setting already set.
I assumed it must have been a problem with the default in options, but I believe I have it set correctly? See below.

If I interpret the above correctly, the plot style table drop down box should be defaulting to 'none' ? but it does not... it defaults to AEC Standard.stb.
I have already tried a complete uninstall/Reinstall of CAD and still have the same issue.
I was wondering is there a way to export text, dimension, leaders and table styles? I have been trying for a while but can figure it out not even sure that you can.
