Is there any way to add a frame counter to .gifs?

I keep trying to save a gif animation with one frame per layer but that is not working!! it still is combining all the layers in the animation even though I tell it one frame per layer!
View 4 Replies View RelatedFor example, if I save a gif, and I set the frame delay to 33ms each (about 30fps), then load that gif into Gimp, it says the layers are set to 30ms each.
Is this a quirk with Gimp or a limitation of the gif format itself?
How do you add a "pattern" to a frame around a picture. The reason I ask, is when you go to make a frame around something, it asks you what "color" you desire. I don't want a "color", I want a "pattern" (the birch wood pattern).

View 5 Replies View RelatedIs there somewhere in the interface that shows a counter of the number of flagged (or rated or labeled) photos in the folder or selection?
There must be, but I just don't see it or must have turned it off.
Just to be clear... For example, I have a folder with 150 images; I've flagged 37 of them; rated 25 two stars and 15 red label. Is there some counter or other way to see at a glance just how many there are filtered?
I have VSX4 and I often edit videos using gifs, however they no longer animate when I add them to the library and timeline. It's been a while since I last used it but I can't figure out why my VS is now showing them only as photos of the first frame in the gif. Gifs used to work fine by simply dragging them in.
I'm not very technical so I'm hoping there is a simple solution which has evaded my attention.
I'm experiencing a slight problem with stringing two .gifs together so that they become one continuous animation. For instance, let's take these two as an example.
If I simply open Gimp, drag both of them into a new project and save the resulting thing as a gif, I get this: As you can see, the transition between the two is anything but smooth (the last frame of the first animation and the first of the second appear to be fused somehow? It also happens when the second animation ends again), but I can't seem to identify the cause for this as the layers seem normal and don't seem to warrant this.
I got a request from an administrator of an online meat cutters club. He sent me two separate animated gifs that he wants me to put together side by side in one picture. When I open one it is fine. I then adjust the canvas to make room for the other but when I "open as layers" the second gif's colors are all messed up. Is there a way to combine 2 animated gifs side by side into one larger image? It would be some tedious work moving the layers and merging down to mix them in, but I might be able to do that.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to combine 3 GIFs with one on top, one in the middle, and one on the bottom. When I played the GIF it showed the top one move and a white space where the other two should be then the top one froze then went onto the middle one then that one froze and went to the bottom one then repeated the cycle.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an animated GIF whose edges I'd like to trim off. Some forums say you can only do this by breaking down animated GIFs to individual frames, cropping each, then recreating the single GIF. This would be a lot of work for 93 frames. Is there a better easier way to do this?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI use the Frame Number option quite a bit when I make a Preview and the Viewport details found in the upper left of the Camera viewport (eg: Camera04, Hidden Line) overlap the frame number.
Any way to either exclude the viewport details from Preview or move the Frame Number down so these two pieces of info don't overlap?
When you render an shot, is there a way to get the frame number to be included in the rendered image? So that when they are put together into a movie a viewer can pause to see what frame it's on so that accurate critiques can be made.

GIMP 2.6.11 on both win7 and macos 10.6.x exports/saves (with "Save as...") .gif's with pinkish background hue; no apparent problem with .png export/save. fwiw, we did uncheck "Save background color" for .png's as per [URL] ... . See no such option for .gif's that we have yet to find.
What's happening and/or what we might be doing wrong for .gif's? (eg, monitor calibration, etc?)

I have a not-moving .jpeg image and I want to put 5 different animated .gif images on top of that .jpeg image background but I don't want those 5 .gif images to stop moving.
This is what I'm talking about:
I want to learn how to make .gif images like these using GIMP 2.8.6. I have searched for tutorials for this but they are only for putting a single gif on top of a still image, not multiple gifs on top of a still image.
Everywhere else the GIFs view as intended but when I import to GIMP some of the GIFs change color. Are GIF animations limited in the colors that can be displayed compared to normal (non-animated) GIFs?
A test animation is attatched, but many of the colors are wrong often the colors are changed to white by gimp.
(Ulead Videostudio version 9). I am trying to compile a number of clips of tv into 1 programme, the problem is that some of the clips are not full frame, but half size widescreen etc. Is there a way in video studio to convert all of these clips to full frame etc, so the whole programme looks the same or do I use a different piece of software. Another question, what is the max lengh of dvd output you can use the software before it loses picture quality, some of my recent productions have been poor quality picture wise, even though the input picture quality has been high.
View 1 Replies View RelatedThis is regarding a error message by Video Studio Pro X5 understanding a fault message which I got after creating a DVD map. This is the original message in Dutch: "Sommige startframenummers van hoofdstukken zijn groter dan het aantal frames". 533:-2147216477:0 Translation: "Some start frame numbers of chapters are greater than the number of frames"
This was also discussed here - but I can not understand the solution: viewtopic.php?t=24055&p=120629
The situation: I have all the same video files (H.264, 24 bits, 25.000 f/s) [worked with this kind of files a couple times and worked alway very well] I have added some tekst and pictures. Total length of video is 01:50 hour. Starting the procedure DVD creating, with burning the DVD folders on my harddisc. Afther the burning proces I got the fault message.
After creating the DVD map I got the fault message (as describbed above) and found on my harddisc the VIDEO_TS folder with 5 files VTS_01_1 till VTS_01_5. The total time of these loose files is ca. 76 minutes. So I missed a hughe chunk. I got the same fault message when I have created chapters within the videofile but also when I created chapters later at the video menu.
When I do not burning a DVD folder but select creating a video file (DVD-video) than I get separated end files instead of just one big file. Maybe this has the same cause?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a question regarding adding a force constraint in the Inventor frame analysis environment. When I add the fixed constraint to the beam the orientation indicator is incorrect - the square indicator being not parallel to the base of the beam. I would like to know why this is and as I am relatively new to frame analysis if I am doing something wrong. I have attached a screen shot of the placement of the constraint on the beam.
