CorelDRAW X6 :: Text In Frames Very Slow To Refresh?

Just started with CDRX6 (Upgrade) and find a frustrating feature with text in text frames. If you import text into a frame and then move the position of the frame in the layout, the text repositions in a waterfall motion within the frame. It takes a second or two to settle down, and the frame also jumps position somewhere else en route before reaching the point you are dragging it to. It can be moved more smoothly using the arrow keys, but that is painfully slow.
I do not have this problem with X5. Is it a symptom of some new feature in X6, or is it a fault in installation?
i have photoshop cs6 64 bit , windows 7 64bit with 32gb of ram the last intel cpu , i nvida geforce gtx 760photoshop cs6 run fast outside the opacity slider , if i increase or decrease with the mouse , i have a slow refreshwithout gpu is more quickly what's wrong?i have the last nvdia drivers , i add a screenshot to let you see which slider i'm talking about
Must have been something I installed earlier in the day or late last night because the way InDesign CC nows redraws the screen is painfully slow. It's true that an Upgrade has been applied this morning through the CreativeCloud panel? I'm on Windows 8.1 running 9.2 x64. This Dell XPS8700 machine has never disappointed. 16 gig of RAM, fast Nvidia video card, 7200 RPM hard drive. It's just zippy! But now, I don't know what could be wrong? I don't have other processes running in the background. I checked to make sure I have the latest drivers for my video card. I tried trashing the Prefs file. The only thing I have not tried is to restart the system?
Other than that, I suppose it's always possible to uninstall and re-install InDesign CC?
Whenever I create a shape, or envelope and add text it, whatever size of font, there is a 0.06-0.063 inch margin created inside the shape. Is this normal? I can not find a way to eliminate this, or change it. When selecting the text, I can change the margins on the ruler, but that only adds to this 0.06 inch margin.
Starting in X6, I have seen that a group of artistic Text when selected and moved with the Arrow keys is slow and choppy to move to the new location. It seems like it may be trying to do too much calculation. It gives me concern because this is how a program would act just before it crashes. However CD X6-64 has not crashed on me yet.
I have multipage (16 pages) document with linked frames of paragraph text. Every page consists of 2 linked frames of paragraph text and second one is linked to the first one of the next page. When printed, it prints only first two pages as a whole. And the 3-rd and all the others prints only first frame of the page and two rows of the second frame of the page.
Is this my printer (Canon LBP3010) or the CorelDRAW ?
BTW: Paste 16 pages from WORD to Corel X6 takes infinity and crashes. In Corel 9 it takes about a minute for 80 pages!
I am looking to slow down my animation between frames. Is the only way to slow it down by adding additional layers? There is two slides that I have rotating, but they are moving too fast and I would like to slow it down. I have a limit of 250KB and if I add any more layers I'm up to my limit.I have a gif file as the background and the two rotating slides are text....
Coreldraw X6 seems to be much much slower when editing text content.
When I work on a product brochure with a lot of text involved, CorelDraw become very low responsive when I edit the text e.g. select, move, typing, etc etc. It happens to both paragraph text and artistic text.
So since we installed CorelDraw x6 the one file we have been working on is a long text file and it slowes every thing down drasticly.We did think updating would work so we did that and it still lags.
I use external/linked images because the file is multipaged and as I am working continuously on it every "Save" command takes less time.
Every image is there on HDD in the same folder as CDR-file. Today I opened this file and the images look very bad - one couldn't see what is pictured there. The question is how to refresh them? I don't see such an option.
I am working on a project which needs..Text frames to be converted as flash text >property changed to dynamic text > writing instance name “_txt”.so how can i write scripting on above process.
I want to show my listings in frames but I don't want to take photos, I was wondering if there is a quick way to do this using Corel. Below the first link is an example of my listing I have on E bay.
1) How do I make a border with a transparent middle section. So I can use that border for a flash project (picture album etc). I know how to make a border over a picture, I just need to know how to make a border that I can use over any image of my choosing.
2) How do I make a text only image that is transparent. Lets say I make the word "Home" with a Bevel, how do I keep the word only without the white background? I keep getting the full canvas size (e.g 100X100) with the word Home in the middle (including all the effects I add to the word) on a white background, even when I have set my options to transparent background.
Is there a way to put a text automatically on "X" frames? I mean, it's so hard to copy the layer and merge it on aaaaaall frames if a gif has 100, for example.
Any way to preserve spaces between text boxes or frames, in other words if i designed a template consist of two text boxes the space between the first and the second box is 9.77 mm then i removed some text from the first text box (auto fitting to content) so the height of the first text box will decrease and the space between the two text boxes (9.77 mm) will increase, what i want to do is to fix this space so if any text box decreased in height the other text box lefted up or down to fix this space (9.77 mm).
When I draw a frame, suddenly In-Design has started to put a slightly larger area around it which also repels text. I must have inadvertently invoked this feature somehow, but as I'm not sure what I did to cause it I can't work out how to rid myself of its effect.
From the File>New I take the A4 - 1 Column template and then add a side by side page and no page number appear on the right page.
If I then add text so that it overflows the pages 1 and 2 and creates two new ones the left hand one now has page 3 but still no page numbers on the right.
If add text to a single A4 1 Column and overflows it creates a second page with page number as expected, if I then convert it to side by side it has the page number on the right.
My question is why it works in the second method and not with the first, when setting up a new document it is the path one would expect to set the pages as you want first.
Is there any way of showing the text areas (frames) just not when you click in them? as one does to show grids.
There's this GIF that I'd like to use for a banner and when I open the file in GIMP, add a text and then check the animation in the playback window, I can only see the text once the GIF has ended but also, I can only see the text for like one second.
Is it possible to make the text visible on all of the frames of the GIF without having to duplicate the text 100s of times and merging them onto each frames?
I want to evaluate text frames for their x axis and if they are the same shift them slightly because of adobes irritating habit of combining the text frames when it makes a PDF. I have been able to evaluate, but not exactly like I want to but I know it can be done...

my problem is when I try to move text frames. It flies way of the page. I just want to move the text a slight amount and concatenate is the only way I have been successful. my question is: Is there a better way and why is my text flying so far of the page?
I'm trying to fade some text from 100% opacity to 0% over 45 frames, and end my layer when it gets to 0, (Thus making it dissapear?). My text stays there with 0% opacity (Slightly visable), untill the next layer begins.. I don't understand why I can see it when the layer it's on has ended. I preview it with audio using num 0.
This has happened to me multiple times and I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. Some of my text fades and dissapears normally, but I don't understand what's different about it. I'm probably doing lots wrong, but I'm pretty new and you have to start somewhere! This is also my first post, hope it's in the right forum.
I made this gorgeous table of contents with nice paragraph styles and a text frame on the master page. I put the text in the first frame and that filled my pages as intented. After that I used my paragraphs titles and the table of contents was done. But now I have a problem because I need to change the page order. I'm completely lost cause now my document is a mess. So is it possible to make a table of contents without using connected text frames because I know that I will have to change page order later and I want to avoid the mess I just made?
why the system performance of X4 slows down considerably to a crawl.Cutting and pasting take longer each time they are used. I have 3 XP Pro computers running Corel X4. The fastest is a 3.2Ghz dual core, 1.3K FSB, fast video, All are fully updated to XP SP3.X4 has been updated.
All systems run Norton antivirus, Have added .cdr to Norton exclusion list. Windows server 2003 environment.Problem exists even when working on desktop. They do have 500 or so fonts loaded.
why the frame of my text masks are off centered...half off the text. i have to adjust it every time using the wipeout command>frame>on to adjust the frame....then turn the frame off again.
Trying to remove any text frames with empty content but it doesn't seem to be removing correct textFrame layers?
