CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X5 :: Adjust Perspective Effect Using Arrow Keys?
May 9, 2013Is there some way to move the corner control points of the perspective effect grid via the arrow keys? I have hand problems and any time I need to move something very precisely I use the arrow keys, or risk hurting my hands. If not, would there be some way to do this with a macro? Also, is there some setting for it – other than having to hold down the shift and control keys while you click and drag, which is just a killer for me – that will arrange it in ways that are only symmetrical (where if you move one side the other side moves equally in the opposite direction)? As far as I can see, rectangular and freehand settings behave the same.

Jul 24, 2013I'm thinking that once the perspective tool is enable the starting/ending coordinates of the fountain fill should lock relative to the shape. What ya think?
As a work around you can position the to be perspective guide shape so the starting/ending coordinates of the fountain fill at least fall close?

Photoshop :: Perspective Effect With Smart Objects (SO)?
Nov 2, 2012i would like to create a perspective efect on smart objects.everything i read so far was that perspective effect doesn't work (distort) on SO.everybody place the SO almost as they want but to create the perspective effect, they rasterize layer and finish perspective effect using the Free Transform tool.

It is really great for creating a new presentation of product. However, if i must rasterize SO i loose this feature/possibility.

What I am trying to accomplish is to cut and paste a section of nail and lay it over the knotted rope but with only 4 grid points this does not cut it.

Jul 21, 2012Here is cylinder made of rectangle using 3d Revolve effect.I want to change perspective of this cylinder like the red lines show, but it goes a bit to the left. I need exactly to the front. I think this is because perspective based on the center of rectangle (in the green circle) not on the center of cylinder. Is it possible to move the center of rectangle? If not, is any other decisions how to make what I want?

Mar 15, 2012I'm tearing my hair out after creating an iPod jukebox style ad (i.e. album cover carousel) where the pix made with the LEFT perspective using Mold tool work fine, but the two made with RIGHT perspective using Mold tool come out skewed rather than moulded after exporting to PDF.
All images are jpegs; I've checked and am doing exact same process on either side. Tried killing the images in bitmap gallery and re-importing - makes no difference.

Oct 17, 2013I am playing with this at the minute but thought I would upload an image I am having trouble with. Learned 'flattening' with effects on top of other images - my problem this time is that we need a ghosted part of an image - my boss has done a 'glow' rectangle but i cannot 'flatten' it as it is sitting on top of a vector image!
I am going to try and split the vector image and fill it with a fountain fill but unsure if this can be done.

May 29, 2013I'm using CD X5, (I own it, not the trial download) and the Effects/Add Perspective menu choice is greyed out. ! Not selectable. I select the photo I want to change persp but the option is not available. I did reset the interface by pressing F8 upon load and it did change to default but still no perspective option.
Win 7 home Premium 64bit
I should add that this is the Home - Student version. Should that be any different? Nothing else has been ... yet anyway!

GIMP :: Change Perspective Of Image?
Sep 28, 2012I have a photo of a coffee table that's on an angle. I want to rotate this table so it looks like you're standing in front of it and seeing the front. The problem is the Rotate, Perspective, and Map Object tools don't seem to be able to do it. I also tried a plug-in called EZ Perspective, but that also doesn't seem to work.
At this point, I'm guessing you can't change the perspective of an image (up, down, left, right) because it's flat and not 3D, and no program knows what the other sides would look like. Is that correct, or can I do what I want and just don't know how, yet?

I want to change a photo so that, rather than facing 'head on', it looks as though it is facing away at an angle.
I can skew basic shapes to give the impression these have perspective but I can not do this with JPEG files. How to acheive this in CorelDraw or CorelPhoto.
CorelDRAW X5 :: Adding Perspective To Grouped Objects (specific Dimensions)
Apr 20, 2012I need to find a way to add "perspective" to grouped objects that include a bitmap and other drawn objects. I can convert everything to a bitmap in needed. What I need this for is I engrave this grouped artwork onto drinking glasses and I have to adjust the artwork for the differences in the diameter of the glass. I need to be able to set the width of the top of the artwork with a numeric value and the bottom with a different numeric value.
An example of the problem with the engraving is that if I wanted to engrave a one inch square half way down the glass I would have to make the top of the square 1.1 inches wide and the bottom of the square 1.2 inches (the math is not right with this example) so a trapezoid turns into a square once engrave on the tapered glass.
The image below shows a sample of the artwork I need to engrave. The right side image is an exaggerated example of what the artwork would need to look like to work right once engraved. I could only adjust the black ring but not the text or image in the center. The third image is to show a trapezoid.

Another question: If you write a square with the rectangle tool in illustrator and you select a face in the left up corner, is there a way to make the square how can i explain... You move the swuare on theat face with the mouse and when it reach the "border" it will start move on the other face, just like a wall, if you put a piece of pare in a corner, the paper will assume the shape of the corner. Is it possible to do this instead of create 2 square and merge them in the corner?

while the half right follow the right gird.

Right now I use two graphics, and I was curious, whether I can use one image, place it in the center of the grid, and have it automatically fold over the left and right side. I'm working on very complex vector and I would rather not split it into half to create two independent images.
Is there a way to do it ?
Whenever I like to adjust the perspective using the drag points, the graphics won't adjust accordingly. I find myself refining the persective grid and than manually, from scratch readjusting all my artowork. Is there a way to do automatically ?

Jul 19, 2013I'm running Gimp 2.8.4 on Ubuntu 13.04 Linux (64-bit) and I'm trying touse the "Bevel and Emboss" layer effect on an image which I copied fromanother image. Here is what I've done:
1. Loaded image 'A' into Gimp
2. Selected a portion of it
3. Used "/Edit/Copy" to copy the selection
4. Used "/Edit/Paste As/New image" to create a new image from the selection
5. In the new window for the new image, "/FX-Foundry/Layer effects/Bevel and Emboss"
6. When the "Bevel and Emboss" window opens, I accept the defaults and click "Ok"
The filter starts to run and then stops with an error message. Here is the message I get:
