How do most of you get rid of this effect? I can only see this in my game and I am trying to figure out a way to guarantee that none of my PNG artwork has this.
Working with PS CS5.5. I am needing to create a 1000px x 650px background image for a web application. I would like the resulting file size (PNG) downloaded by the web-site to be in the 50kb realm. What is the general strategy for creating a gradient like the attached file? Should I start with a solid background color and overlay the solid with a white gradient layer (center being less transparent) this in my mind would result in the smallest file size given that I could decrease the resolution (of the exported PNG file) without any visible effects on the web-page.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I export to a cgm file the callout halo shows up with an outline. This happens in a program called IADS. If I drop the cgm into word the callouts and connector lines do not show up at all. Is there a reason it does that? Also some text will show up doubled or tripled sometimes when converted. If I delete that text re enter it and convert its fine. since not to many company's use cgm format anymore.

I created my logo, powerclipped a darker image of the wood inside, created an embossing effect with a lighter and darker version offset from the main logo. Now I would like to "roughen" it up a bit to look more natural - following the woodgrain, and more "burnt in".

The image will ultimately be just 1 pixel wide and then be repeated as required to create the right width (length) on the web page. How can I slice the image without getting a shadow effect on any of the other 3 sides?
Obviously the edges of the image must be sharp so there is no banding effect when the image is extended.
Basically I have 2 images, 1 is a texture background and the other is a face. I wanna create the effect that the face is blended into the photo just like in this one:

Let not the one who says it can't be done interrupt the one who is doing it.
remove the background/textured images from these patterns?
(the first image has a globe shap that i want to remove and the second has a hand with pointed finger.)
I want to keep the pattern because it creates a transparent/glassy effect, but when i tried to flatten the image thourgh the layer menu it shows up white (with the shapes i want to remove) without the transparent effect.
I'm trying to create a certain effect that is probably best illustrated with pictures
created by varying the thickness of lines, whether horizonal or part of letters or even symbols.
I don't know if this is even possible using photoshop to be perfectly honest. If that's the case, does anyone know the software that would be required?
I am playing with this at the minute but thought I would upload an image I am having trouble with. Learned 'flattening' with effects on top of other images - my problem this time is that we need a ghosted part of an image - my boss has done a 'glow' rectangle but i cannot 'flatten' it as it is sitting on top of a vector image!
I am going to try and split the vector image and fill it with a fountain fill but unsure if this can be done.
I would like to add a grungy/ distress effect to an image but I would also like some grungy smudges outside of the image as well.....how can I achive this
