The default page size in X6 has become 9 x 11 and when you try to change it to 8.5" x 11" it defaults back to 9 x 11. Same with objects. It does not show true sizes, never shows .25 or half sizes. I have looked through settings and how to get true measurements in my display at the top of the page, so when I import an object it does not give actual ruler sizes.

i often do a very big and complex mix of logos names and so on.
i´d like to know if ther is any hotkey on how to move any object or a group of objects from far on the page to the page border.
this function is not functioning anymore. I may have done something to cause this but I don't recall.
Entering sizes in the text boxes does not change the object size anymore.
The only option right now is use the transform size docker...would rather not have to do that.
Also, would not like to hit F8...

Any way to create a page from a selected object? For example, if I select a rectangle that forms the background of my image, can I create a page of the same size and in the same location? I used to use Inkscape, and it was very simple to do that.
I had to change my paper size and now my drawing does not align with the page. The drawing is very complex and I would rather not have to move it. Any easy way to realign the page.
I have a drawing of an object and I want to fit it to the page, I can magnify it or minimize it using the mouse but this not the issue, it seems fine on the page like 1, when I go to "Arrange >> Clear transformations" it looks bigger like 2, but thats the original size, how can I change it to smaller (or bigger)?

Object sizing is doing the same thing. Somehow I have also lost the letter size in the page options - comes up custom. The set up shows that it is 8.5x11, but cannot adjust when a page is open. Things just keep changing in my Corel that I haven't changed.

I am creating an object that has four text boxes in an object that is about 2" x 4". When I do the merge, I end up with multiple pages, all 2" x 4". How can I now move those pages spaced about a larger page, say 11" x 17" so I can have positioned and print multiple 2" x 4" objects on the larger sheet?

In the print dialog box I select "custom" from media size options. This sets my page size to the size of the selected artboard. The problem is each page needs to be a different size so I am forced to print each page one at a time. Is there a way for illustrator to change the media size per artboard?

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen i have a project that contain a lot of the same images i normally create one Smart Object and copy/paste it as many times as i need to. This way when i have to change something i can edit the Smart Object and it will automaticly change all duplicates.
For example i have created a button and i need one that has to be a different width, i can change thewidth of the Smart Object. Only this way it changes all the duplicates too. Let's say i don't want to change my previously made duplicates, i can make a copy of my Smart Object this way it does not effect my previously created buttons. This have the effect that when i need to make some changes, ill need to edit 2 buttons instead of one.
In some of my projects i have 10 different sizes of the same object only the design is left unchanged. When i need to change the color for example i have to edit this 10 imes. You would say 10 times isn't that much. That is correct. But if you made multiple changes to the Smart Object's layers, let's say i changed 4 things. I have to manually change 4 x 10 = 40 things. That could take up some time.
In my case i need to have different widths of the same object everything else needs to be exactly the same. So in my perfect case i would have one smart object with different widths which i only have to change once's.
Is there a way to accomplish this?
I quite often need a separate ruler scale on each page of a multi-page document. The only way I know how to do this is to create a separate document for each drawing that requires a new scale.
I request that you add the ability to change the ruler scale on a per page basis within a single multi-page document.

If I use a label type approach some rows have less data making the layout uneven (unsuitable for the project)

If it's a bug, then I cannot believe it wasn't caught before the release. So here it is. I simply put artistic text down on page 1. Select the text and copy to clipboard. Add a new page and paste the text. On my computer, the text changes from artistic text (as copied to clipboard) to paragraph default text left justified across the center of the page. It doesn't matter how much text I select, it always pastes on the new page as paragraph text left justified and across the center of the page.
However, if I select artistic text and any other object, copy and paste to a new sheet, it works erectly. Apparently, I now have to select text and an object to insure that the paste feature works properly?
I am using CorelDraw X4 and I am having problems printing exact sizes. The printer I am using is the HP designjet Z6100 (42 inch). Recently I tried to print a sign that needed to be exactly 17inches but it came out 16.5inches. When I clicked on the image it said that it was 17inches, but does not print correctly.

I have a big problem exporting my drawings to any type of file. In this example i tried to export a square without a pen-width.
No matter what i tried, i can not export it in the size i want to. Is this a bug? or a setting i have to adjust?
I do beer signs for a living. Sometimes I like to import other coreldraw files into my current work to take designs off of them, such as a curve or a portion of text. I then delete the unused parts. The problem is that whenever I do this, it makes the save file huge!
You can test this. Open an empty coreldraw file. Drag a few .cdr's into it. Delete everything you imported. Save the empty file. It will be the size of all those .cdr's combined!
There is a ovelap happening in the centre. I am unable to change fonts or font sizes. Never faced this problem in 12 or X3.

I'm having a problem with enlarging and/or reducing sizes of objects. When I set the height or width to something, the object usually becomes much smaller. If I wanted to blow up something (anything) from 8" to 20", it would become about 3". I would have to put in the 20" again and then it might grow to the correct size.
View 4 Replies View RelatedSeveral days ago I noticed my files sizes were enormous. I was unable to even open them to work on them. Something that was once 517KB becomes 161MB the next time I save it.
After I installed the Corel update this morning, things were back to working as usual. But tonight it's back to the huge files. I saved a simple greeting card file - no halftones, no gradients, etc. It saved at 19.7MB. A few minutes later after making some small changes - saving again it was now 118 MB.
I tried saving to a lower version of Corel and ver 15 it was the same scenario. When saving to 12, 13, & 14 the files were normal, small sizes. But after a few hours even those versions were saving at huge sizes.
I've had a friend check her computer using the same file - she has the exact same computer & on Corel X6. All of her files are nice and small like they are supposed to be.
I've run virus checks and nothing is coming up. I am on Windows 7 64 bit.
Other than recreating all of my files every time I use them - I have no way of saving usable .cdr files.
I have a dvd box cover insert that I am trying to print 10.531 x 7.25. I set up the page and when I go to print it, it prints too small and doesn't fit in the dvd box property. I've tried printing on letter, legal and 11x17 to no avail it always comes out to 9.75 x 6.25
View 9 Replies View RelatedI was going down the list of a few thousand web photos that we use on the company site, resetting levels via the Tone Curve in Paint X3 to make them more legible and uniform, when I noticed something odd.
The filesize that Paint indicates will result from a particular jpg compression level does not match what the Windows XP file folder indicates. Usually the discrepancy is only a couple K, but it can be much more and there seems to be no rhyme or reason to it.
I will load a jpg that is shown in windows as 12K, adjust the tone curve to match other product photos, then go to save, adjusting the compression while watching the Paint claim for resulting file size. Let's say that Paint is claiming 6.7K at compression of 14. When I actually do the save, it shows up as several K different, usually bigger - say 10K. How is it that Paint is so consistently off in this?
I am running CorelDraw x5 Graphics Suite on Windows 7. When publishing to pdf on even simple corel files it is saving a pdf size of over 1.5GBs! The screenshot below is a 57 page corel file ALL text and vector with NO bitmaps images. Publishing to pdf creates a file size 1.59GBs. Is there a patch that is out that resolves this issue?
