How to create a cool rainbow nebula text effect that you can play with. This is a fairly easy effect to achieve.
The result will look something like this:
1. Create a New project and set your dimensions. In this case, I am going to use 500 x 200. This part is up to you.
2. I think this effect goes best with a dark color(black) so use the fill tool to turn your background black(or your color pick if it is different).
3. Next, add your text using the text tool. I believe the font Century Gothic goes well with this. However, I am going to use my logo with this. Make sure whatever you do, if you use your logo or not, that your subject is white.
4. Right-click on the text/logo layer in the layer panel and select Alpha to Selection. Then create a New Layer and go the Filters→Render→Clouds→Plasma and click OK. Put this layer on the below the text one if it is not already.
5. Now Gaussian Blur the text layer by 5 pixels and set the Layer Mode to Overlay.
6. (This step is optional. I am going to do it though because it gives a good result in my opinion.) Duplicate the Plasma Layer and Gaussian Blur it by 5 pixels. Then you can play around with the opacity with the Layer Mode on Screen, I set mine to 50%. Then duplicate the text layer and lower the opacity which I did to 50%. This gives the text more shine.
The result will look something like this:
I am trying to figure out how to put some text (TYP.) on the other side of the dimension size. IE: my dimension is 4.00 inches and I want to be able to put TYP (for typical all other parts like this) under the 4.00. I'm sure it is easy -

View 3 Replies View RelatedI just made a new image with my name written all over it. What I'm trying to do, is color the text RAINBOW colored, and so it looks blended together.
Is there a way to do that with the paintbrush tool? And then just go over the text, letting the paintbrush do the work?
I'm having issues with threaded text. I've created my desired paths for threaded text, essentially a rainbow, that aligns with my package design. When I create threaded text it behaves wierdly. The following occurs:
1) creating threaded text with my rainbow paths, it creates the paths upside down. I've figured out how to rememdy this with the path options, but wish it didn't default to upside down.
2) My path layers for each row are in decending order, i.e. - would like text to cascade top to bottom; however, when I start typing, it uses the bottom line first causing my paragraph to read from bottom to top. This is incredibly frustrating!
I have the latest Macbook Air 13" (intel i5 1.8 mhz with 4gb DDR3). I downloaded a trail version of PS CS6 from the creative cloud. It worked fine but suddenly it began act wierd. Every 10 seconds the software stucks for 3 seconds (Rainbow wheel). My computer is brand new and nothing else is installed. I upadted the latest PS patch and download the latest OSX updates but it is still happening.
Update: This is happening mostly when I'm using the text editing tool... (I'm using hebrew fonts as well),
I'm working on making a really awesome pic but I'm stuck. The style I use in all of my pics is by making a new layer, changing it to color mode, then making rainbow colors with a really soft brush. Everything was going fine until I threw some text in there. Now when I paint, the text stays the same color!

I JUST installed v X6 and off to my first problem within 10 minutes.
The old menu in X5 used to have a docker called "Graphic and Text" which is no longer available in X6. After some research, it looks like the "apply a style or style set to an object" is the way to go, HOWEVER if I right click on the text as suggested to find the "Object Styles" menu, the sub menu is a blank little rectangle that won't display the menu items.
How to copy a style to a menu and then apply it as well in X6?
How do I create a hyperlinked text in CD X6? I have attempted:
Select the text with the Text Tool
Open the Links and Bookmarks docker
Select the New Link button
Select File as the Link Type
Browse to the file
When I click away from the text to unselect it the file I browsed to disappears. I am attempting to link to a htm file.
I want to know how one can add the shiny 3D effect to text as shown in the image.
I've done this in PS but unable to do in Corel.
I use Corel 12 & X3.
I want to create some text that has a outline but with a little bit of space in between the text and the outline. What is the best way to do this?
Usually, I will create text and add an outline. Then convert the outline to an object and change the color to whatever the background color of the document is. Then I will add an outline to that object (the one that used to be the text outline) and I end up with essentially two outlines.
It usually isn't that difficult but sometimes the text does not cooperate and when I add an outline it has all kind of gaps and points. So I guess I have two questions. why certain texts have those gaps and points when you try to outline them? Also, is there any easier way to make an outline that is not directly against the text like this.
I need to produce a PNG image that will be used as a menu bar that has a shadow effect on the top side only. The image will ultimately be just 1 pixel wide and then be repeated as required to create the right width (length) on the web page. How can I slice the image without getting a shadow effect on any of the other 3 sides?
Obviously the edges of the image must be sharp so there is no banding effect when the image is extended.
I am struggling to create a glass bottle and etch the logo into the side of it. Do I use a boolean or should I map an image?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI want to create a pyramid with a base of three sides with different lenght. In the end i want to have a solid where i can drag and move the notes to change the hight, lenght and the angle of the sides.
I already managed to draw it in 3d but now i want to convert the drawing into a solid and keep it flexible to change the parameters by draging the notes.
I also tried to extrude a triangle with a specific angle but then i was only able to move the top note up and down changes the hight. Doing it this way the top note also kept beeping in the center-point of the triangle.
I need to locate or create a Macro that would read a text file that contains
x postion, y position, and diameter.
Each of the 4000 circles in this file are a different diameter. There is no linear progression.
Here's something that should be simple, I want to create a template for cutting a square hole 125 mm on a side.
I have gone into Drawing Utilities and set the units to millimeters. I drew a square 125 units on a side.
In paper space, I selected a template that is 11" X 17". I set the scale to 1:1. I thought that that would give me a sheet I could print out ledger size with a 125mm square drawn on it, but no, it is not even close. As near as I can figure, the square is 125" on a side in paper space.
i would like to create same layout as below but the problem comes when i have to give inner shadow to any object as shown below. My idea is to get embedded look and feel like this itune web page has.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am trying to create an assembly with a U channel (side ditch) that's top will follow the sidewalk it is next to but I need the profile of the U channel to be different than that of the roadway. Is there a way to create a custom subassembly part that will do this? Can I create a different allignment/profile for the bottom of the U channel that can then link to the other assembly?
The only other think I can think of is to use a dynamic block to add the U channel to my cross sections, but that will take a lot of time to do.
I am trying to create the artwork for stickers to cover the front and side of a freezer. I have created the front panel which consists of a block of colour along the top and bottom (with logo in top panel) and then an illlustration in the middle. Now, I want the blocks of colour and illustration to carry on seamlessly to either side to cover the 2 side panels (which are the same height but different width from the central one). Should I create in 3 separate documents and how do I make sure that I follow the illustration at exactly the point where it finishes at either side of the central panel? I haven't been using InDesign very long and I cant work it out.
View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I resize an object (for example, I want to extend a horizontal line by 20%, using the % boxes in the property bar), the resizing action is executed from the center of the object itself (so, 10% to the left and 10% to the right in my example).
If that object is snapped to other objects, resizing from the center automatically unsnaps them and so snapping must be done again.
Is there a quick way (such as double clicking a node, or so) to resize an object not from its center, but from a side or a vertex of it?
I was wondering how I could go about warping the text only on one side like the "Red Ferret" in the image below? Is it all manually done?

I need to create a triangular grid of injection boreholes with side lengths of 2m and can't think of a slick way to do it.
I've created two linear arrays of polyline at the correct spacings and MAPCLEANed to break all the crossing lines so I now have line segments at the correct locations.I now need to put a point at each vertex to show the locations of the holes.
I'm sure there must be a better way of doing this - just thinking while typing: if the two array are on different layers, I could JOIN the polys on each layer and then add POINTS at vertices??
