CorelDRAW X5 :: Texture Fill Not Printing?
May 1, 2012My brother printer doesn't seem to like printing any texture fills.

View 5 RepliesTexture fill and a printing problem. They may be related. First, the file I am working with was originally created in Corel 10. I'm using X6 in Windows 8.
It is a map. I have several layers but the two layers I am having trouble with are the continental shelf and the land layers.
I cannot texture fill either in X6. I go through all the steps but the fill will not show on the screen nor will it print. I can fountain fill, solid fill etc .these layers and they will print as filled. This is the same for both printers I have, which are also new with 128MB of memory each.
In addition, I can get a fountain fill to print on the continental shelf layer, but cannot get a fountain fill to print on the land layer; even though the fill shows on the screen. I can get a solid fill to print on the land layer.
I've the objects in the proper order, the print is turned on for all these layers, etc.
My texture fill folders start are:
Samples
Samples 5
Samples 6
Samples 7
Samples 8
Samples 9
Styles
Seems odd that all the textures are even in "sample" folders, and are disorganized, and there is a "styles" folder.
I create an original art in X5--I use a backround texture fill- (DRAPES)--my vector art prints complete-but the texture fill backround only prints in sections--maybe the size I am printing (13 x 19) is a problem??
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a simple design in coreldraw X5 and a rectangle with a postscript fill (example: color bubles), now whenever i print out this artwork the rectangle prints in a dark grey color and the rest is OK.
Before i used X4 and the same artwork with the same printer were working perfectly, but now this is happening since i use X5
I am able to print the document without the gradient/fountain fill. I have been trying to print an image with gradient/fountain fill and the gradient image will not print...
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a question:
- I have two layers which I want to combine. The first layer is form by black lines (in my example are blurred, but this is not necessary) which each one act as a "way" that are to be filled with the second layer that is just a line textured.
Images attached, shows what I want to do automatically (in my example, I made the process manually, but I can't do it any longer because it takes too much time.
way to do this other than filling the selection with the texture then resizing the fill and then clipping it to the object?
View 5 Replies View RelatedIs there any plugin that will fill in a shape with an entire texture. For example say I have a hexagon shape that I want to fill with a texture, it would take the texture and squeeze, bend and distort it to match the shape of the hexagon.
This ability would greatly speed up texturing UV maps for a model. I have yet to find a single paint program since I had DPaint on the Amiga years ago that has this feature. I've looked thru the plugin list and the closest I found was 'Shaped Gradient' which is exactly what Im looking for but doesn't support textures.
im having a hard time with the text when printing. it somehow prints texts that looks like it is outlined. i have copied and pasted texts from other documents into this document and it still does not work. i also have tried copying this specific text into other documents and that drawing prints out fine.

By using Autocad 2013, with I can see the default colors when preview, but once I printed out to hard copy or PDF format, its only printed text but without any color background, I have try to print the pdf file by using DWG To PDF.pc3, Adobe PDF & CutePDF Writer, HP Design Jet T1120 plotter, all have the same result.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI'm still new to PS and don't even know where to start! I have an image, it's a logo and is just a 3D letter H. I have been able to use pattern fills to create different version of the logo with different pattern fills. I am oddly enough trying to fill the "H" with the texture of a roast turkey from another image. I can isolate the outline of the letter that I want to fill but I'm not sure how to fill it. I've tried rubber stamping but that doesn't seem to work for me.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am using Coreldraw X5 for printing and sublimation. If I use Pattern or Texture fills for a background, is there any way to make them less intense so the text can more easily be read? I am not sure of the correct terminology, whether it is "fade", "intensity" "transparency" etc. I would just like the fill to be fainter.

How does one create a texture similar to this?

These are from the Samples 9 solar flairs and made a few sample options (customizing the tiling and width) from there.
why some of these texture fills disappear when outputting to PDF or even converting to Bitmap?
For my 3D scene, I have to use a texture file on the floor. If I use the only file, than it looks really boring and below par. What I want is, I want to generate some (around 6-8) texture files within the original texture file - so the colors of all the texture files remain same but only the texture varies.Likewise there are more than 500 texture files and I just can't do them manually. Is there any way out to do this in Photoshop?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a lava texture and a ground texture. I'd like to be able to make some cracks on the ground texture that would show through the lava texture below it. Something like a cracked mud look. I would be using this for a game I'm making form some terrain textures. Are there any plugins that would aid in making these transparent cracks and perhaps even add depth to the cracks?
I guess a spider web where the spider was on crack would be something I'm looking for. Similar to the following image:

The geological community has recently standardized fill patterns that we use for geologic maps and illustrations. The U.S. Geological Survey has put out .eps files that can be used to create a swatch library in Adobe Illustrator (see Section 37 at [URL]). find a way to import these .eps patterns so that I can use them to fill objects created in CorelDRAW.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI've been trying to fill the white area inside this curve and can't figure out how to do it. I read on a different thread that maybe the nodes weren't joined but I have checked each one of them and they are joined.
What I want is to be able to select that curve by clicking on the white area (like I do with the other ones) and then fill it with colour.
By the way, this is the first curve I have created, the other curves in the design weren't made by me. I really want to modify this particular area on the design.
I just started using corel x5 and EVERY time I put an outline on an object, (always 9 points thick) the next time I re-poen the file it says I have an invalid fill id and it makes my outline hairline thin and the default stroke color.
View 12 Replies View RelatedWhat I'm wanting to do is be able to draw a vector object and use it as a pattern fill.
I need to be able to node edit the created pattern. I'd also like (the option) to be able to scale the destination object, and the pattern scales with it.
I figure it be much easier to use/create a fill pattern then duplicate all day long. Now (as example) there is the built-in "Star Shapes" pattern which is a black filled star.
I need to be able to change that to a a red hairline stroke, no fill pattern as example.
I am very new to Corel Draw x5 and am having difficulties using a full color patter fill for text. Everything looks good until I actually fill the text outline with a vector pattern. At that point the edges of my pattern become jagged, and as yet, I haven't been able to figure out how to smooth things out again.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have exported a file from a program called Aspire (used for CNC router modelling) in 3 formats. AI, EPS and DXF. Aspire is a vector program. The file is a bunch of text that I have carved into wood using the Aspire program output (toolpaths)
Now I want to import the file into CorelDraw to cut a vinyl outline of the text so I can place the vinyl over the timber and remove the cut letters and then spraypaint the letters that are cut into the timber. If I can cut the the vinyl exactly the same size as the router has cut the wood I can stick the vinyl over the wood and spraypaint into the grooves which saves a huge amount of time to make the sign.
However, what I need to be able to do is fill all the letters in Corel Draw and get rid of the outline pen in the file as the vinyl cutter software will cut the letters twice if I have the fill and the outline but it will not cut the outline by itself. So I need all the letters just to be filled (any colour is OK) to run the program that controls the vinyl cutter.
I have imported each file type into CorelDraw (one at a time)and and in each case have tried to fill the letters but I can't get CorelDraw to fill the letters properly. Say with letter "a" it will fill the vectors surrounding the letter but also fill the centre piece of the "a" and even if I select the centre piece of the "a" separately I cannot "unfill" that bit. I can change the centre piece to white and it look like its "unfilled" but that won't work with my vinyl cutter. It will not cut out the centre piece unless I can find a way to unfill the centre piece.
Same problem with all the letters that have a vector inside another closed vector (like p,q,e,g,o etc)
I know how to create a new fill pattern, BUT, whenever I use a created pattern to fill an object, I get weird lines in it - as though the fill ends then starts again. It's as though the cross that you use when creating the fill is imprinted on the pattern.

Corel recognizes that the hatch is there, but I cannot see it on screen. I have my screen set on "Enhanced" view and still cannot see the fill. Just wondering if there is something I can do to make the PS fills viewable on screen.

One or more fountain fills may show banding
Suggestions: The following actions can eliminate banding:
Reduce the length of the fountain fill
Increase the number of fountain steps
Increase the range of color in the fill
Output to a higher resolution
Output using a lower screen frequency
Break apart the fill into two or more objects
