The geological community has recently standardized fill patterns that we use for geologic maps and illustrations. The U.S. Geological Survey has put out .eps files that can be used to create a swatch library in Adobe Illustrator (see Section 37 at [URL]). find a way to import these .eps patterns so that I can use them to fill objects created in CorelDRAW.
I want to create sections and plans showing interior finishes. As walls are all of the same structure I used the split face tool. When applying 'paint' to the face it only gives me the options of materials not fill patterns i.e. hatches. How do I get it to apply hatches or is there a visibility setting that i need to change.
Can we align wall cut fill patterns? For instance; some of the wall material fill patterns that we use can cause confusion when other similar patterns are near by. Is there a way to control the begining or to use the align tool? It seems like Revit will only allow Drafting fill paterns to be used in defining materials "Cut Patterns". Is there a way to make them Model Patterns? Can we control the line weights of those fills?
I'm a new Revit user and can't seem to get the hang of fill patterns. If I go to Manage>Additional Settings>Fill Patterns Ise a list of a couple of dozen or so fill patterns with the Drafting Button selected.
But when I try to modify the fill region in a family I'm only given a choice of about six of the patterns.how to "load" the other pattern types.
I have a problem with the zoom and fill patterns in two PCs with Autocad 2012 In both, very often, when I zoom in on the design the fill patterns disappear.
After an update of the image reappear and this is a very big problem for me. The two PCs are both intel I7, one use a nVidia Geforce and other an nVidia Quadro, and I tried different driver versions but without benefits.
I've utilized the Plywood-Section detail component out of the Imperial
Library, and it runs left-to-right, no matter the orientation of the element I drew. Messing with the Fill Pattern settings, it looks identical if I set the Plywood-Align pattern to "Align to Element", or "Orient to View". Nothing changes.
Is it possible to fill an area with hatch patterns in a feature sketch (ipt sketch), not in idw sketch?
I want to show a safety screen (wire mesh) in a 3D model, in order to reduce the file size, I do not want to do solid wire mesh in the model, but the sketch only. I was drawing one by one line and make a hatch cross lines in the sketch, it took me lots of time to draw these lines.
I want to use photoshop elements to alter drawings so they look like quilts. I want to import fabric scans as fill colors and patterns. Is this possible?
I want to make pattern papers using layers and have found this tutorial of someone using Photoshop CS3. How would this work in X5 .....can't get my head around it. How is the colour applied to the black pattern underneath the coloured layer. I have been searching for tutorials on making patterns with overlays all afternoon but they all seem to be done with Photoshop. URL....
How has a pattern like this been achieved. They are not uniform and the same image is twisted around into different positions but evenly spaced to form a pattern.
I've been trying to fill the white area inside this curve and can't figure out how to do it. I read on a different thread that maybe the nodes weren't joined but I have checked each one of them and they are joined.
What I want is to be able to select that curve by clicking on the white area (like I do with the other ones) and then fill it with colour.
By the way, this is the first curve I have created, the other curves in the design weren't made by me. I really want to modify this particular area on the design.
I just started using corel x5 and EVERY time I put an outline on an object, (always 9 points thick) the next time I re-poen the file it says I have an invalid fill id and it makes my outline hairline thin and the default stroke color.
What I'm wanting to do is be able to draw a vector object and use it as a pattern fill.
I need to be able to node edit the created pattern. I'd also like (the option) to be able to scale the destination object, and the pattern scales with it.
I figure it be much easier to use/create a fill pattern then duplicate all day long. Now (as example) there is the built-in "Star Shapes" pattern which is a black filled star.
I need to be able to change that to a a red hairline stroke, no fill pattern as example.
I am very new to Corel Draw x5 and am having difficulties using a full color patter fill for text. Everything looks good until I actually fill the text outline with a vector pattern. At that point the edges of my pattern become jagged, and as yet, I haven't been able to figure out how to smooth things out again.
I have exported a file from a program called Aspire (used for CNC router modelling) in 3 formats. AI, EPS and DXF. Aspire is a vector program. The file is a bunch of text that I have carved into wood using the Aspire program output (toolpaths)
Now I want to import the file into CorelDraw to cut a vinyl outline of the text so I can place the vinyl over the timber and remove the cut letters and then spraypaint the letters that are cut into the timber. If I can cut the the vinyl exactly the same size as the router has cut the wood I can stick the vinyl over the wood and spraypaint into the grooves which saves a huge amount of time to make the sign.
However, what I need to be able to do is fill all the letters in Corel Draw and get rid of the outline pen in the file as the vinyl cutter software will cut the letters twice if I have the fill and the outline but it will not cut the outline by itself. So I need all the letters just to be filled (any colour is OK) to run the program that controls the vinyl cutter.
I have imported each file type into CorelDraw (one at a time)and and in each case have tried to fill the letters but I can't get CorelDraw to fill the letters properly. Say with letter "a" it will fill the vectors surrounding the letter but also fill the centre piece of the "a" and even if I select the centre piece of the "a" separately I cannot "unfill" that bit. I can change the centre piece to white and it look like its "unfilled" but that won't work with my vinyl cutter. It will not cut out the centre piece unless I can find a way to unfill the centre piece.
Same problem with all the letters that have a vector inside another closed vector (like p,q,e,g,o etc)
I know how to create a new fill pattern, BUT, whenever I use a created pattern to fill an object, I get weird lines in it - as though the fill ends then starts again. It's as though the cross that you use when creating the fill is imprinted on the pattern.
I am using Corel Draw X4. I have made a rectangle with a solid color and then added more colors using mesh fill. Now I want to use this rectangle as a Power clip Container for some vector images I have created separately. I am unable to do so!
What is the solution of fountain fill problem. Some time we we apply fountain fill in drawing object and rotate it. When second day or after some time we reopen the file all fountain fill rotated why???
Quick question about the postscript fill in CorelDRAW x4. I have a shape which I am filling with a hatch from the postscript fill menu. Corel recognizes that the hatch is there, but I cannot see it on screen. I have my screen set on "Enhanced" view and still cannot see the fill. Just wondering if there is something I can do to make the PS fills viewable on screen.
Here's the issue I get with my laser printer dialog box:
One or more fountain fills may show banding
Suggestions: The following actions can eliminate banding:
Reduce the length of the fountain fill Increase the number of fountain steps Increase the range of color in the fill Output to a higher resolution Output using a lower screen frequency Break apart the fill into two or more objects
In all my previous programs I have managed to change the default to no fill effect in a vector shape, the default in X6 is a fill effect even though there is no colour so as long as the shape is on top you can click anywhere and it is picked. I can't find where to change this to empty space.
I am sure it must be in front of me but I just can't find it!
I am unable to solve my problem with exporting an object (curve) with 2-colors fill (with transparency) to WMF, PNG or AI. I spent quite a long time already to figure out how to make transparent fill and when I finally succeeded, I cannot export that and work with it
I would like to transform the curve with transparent fill to just curves somehow... than it should be no problem with exporting. Or transform it to some other vector object - it does not matter - just to be able to use it and export it as vector object.
Is there a way to create a hollow circle (or ring) that has a fill, but does not actually fill the circle with the color, just makes the outline?
Here is an image of what I need:
I am having the above laser cut out of acrylic. The laser needs to have everything that is black use a Fill and no Outline. The way it is in the file now, there is no Fill on the circle, but there is a black Outline. If I tell it to have a black Fill and no Outline (like the laser needs) I end up with a solid black circle which the laser will engrave as a solid circle instead of the "ring".
I have followed the instructions carefully and am unable to fill anything.
I make a rectangle. Choose the colour from the palette, drag the little coloured box over to the rectangle and release. Nothing. Many years ago I used my brothers Corel draw, so I know ( or knew then ) how to colour a rectangle.
Is it me have I done a wrong move the eyedropper fill does not copy it only copy the outline it fail to copy the fill the properties box has been checked what should I do.
