I was using some horizontal guidelines to line up text, and was infuriated to find that this doesn't work because Draw snaps the bottom of descenders to the guideline, instead of (duh) allowing them to descend below it.

Draw an ellipse. Skew it with mouse.
Draw a rectangle to allign with ellipse's outer dimension by Alignment Guides (not by Align and Distribute command).
Now the aligned side of the Rectangle must be tangent to the ellipse BUT it's not! To verify, try to search an intersection point. Draw a Guideline and snap it to the rectangle's aligned side. It must be intersection point between Guideline and Ellipse but there isn't...

Snap to guidelines is on. In other words, custom guidlines on each page that 'snap to guidelines' work on each page.
My boss is using CorelDraw x5 on a Dell Studio lappy w/ win7 x64, his question is... If you accidentally stretch text and don't realize it till later is it given a value that can be compared to other text so you can conform it to the rest of the text? Is this a tool or what? The scenario is you accidentally stretch text minutely, save the file, copy and paste this text to another file with same format to realize later it has been manipulated and doesn't match.

At the moment when I open a new document and create guidelines they only show up on the first page and although it isn't difficult, it's annoying to have to move them manually on to the Master Page, how I can change the CorelDraw settings permanently so that whenever I open a new document and create guidelines they are created on the Master Page?

I have a problem exporting a file to TIFF format as the text spacing becomes "corrupted".The text is just a simple text block, pick any font you want (i.e. Arial). I export the file as TIFF format with the following changes of note:
Do not select "Maintain Aspect Ratio".Change the vertical scaling to something like 140% (nothing magical about 140%, just something that stretches it out enough)
That's it. When the text comes out, the letters are all stuck together, either overlapping or touching. This happens with TIFF, PNG or BMP format, but it does not happen when I export GIF or JPG format. Of course, converting the text to curves prior to export also produces the correct result.
Of course, the reverse also happens if I scale vertical to less than 100%, the characters get spaced out farther than they should. I cannot really convert to PNG then to TIFF as I need to maintain the CMYK colorspace on this one. I also do not "pre-scale" the image correctly in CorelDraw first because I actually need to export the image to several different aspect ratios and I would like to maintain only one "master" source image.
How do I snap (objects or, especially, guidelines) to the outer edge of an outline? The guideline always snaps to the edge of the object, if the outline is behind, or within the outline if it's in front of the object.
I usually employ workarounds such as converting the outline to an object but that's not always convenient.

Then I want to snap the outline to the very edge of the outline and the guide, but it does not work this way. when the box snapped to the guide it goes to the middle of the outline. That is if I have 2 rectangles with 0.5 line weight each and if I move on close to another so that the gap between them is zero, then while doing snapping, the outlines of these two rectangles get overlapped which I don’t want.

In X4 I have an addon program called EngravePro. With this I can use the shortcut H to snap to top left of page.
This addon is not available for X6.
Is there another way to do this with a simple shortcut key?

Every time I try to log into my Adobe account the little wheel spins and spins. Right now it's been spinning for 10 minutes. The log-in email and password are correct and I get no notice that the user name or password are incorrect. I have to change the password every time I log in. View 8 Replies View RelatedWe would like to be able to store all of our drawings on the Autodesk 360 cloud but have two users in different locations and want to share a common account. We already have two separate accounts with our 2004LT but that requires each of us to set up sharing for the other, notification, etc. If we purchase two seats of 2013 AutoCAD LT can we both use the automatic save (to 360) with the same account user name and password? 25GB of storage with one subscription is plenty for our needs but the main objective is that all of our files would be in the same account and there wouldn't be any chance of us having slightly different versions of the same file in two different accounts.
If one guy is logged into the account will that prevent the other from gaining access until the first one signs off? I saw something on Autodesk's site saying they were working on being able to combine cloud units but they don't have it yet. I don't know if this would also allow combining separate subscriptions?

Namely, in admin account PS has in 'Save As' File Types list, among others JPEG file type.
But in limited account there is no JPEG file type in the 'Save As' list, so i have to go to 'Save for Web' to compress psd file.
I presume that's something about ntfs permissions, so i assigned full control to COMP/Users for Photoshop folders in 'Program Files' and 'Common Files', but to no avail.
Is there some Windows compressor, to which PS is addressing to compress files, and if so, where it could be located? If i knew that, i could assign user permissions to it.
I had serious corruption issues with the user profile I was using when I setup my CS3, when I created a new user account and tried to open PS it says my licensing is no longer valid... This is rediculous, surely this is a mistake right?

Based on the current implementation and intended usage/distribution method is symbol registration required? I ask as I am not sure what would happen if another plug-in used by the user has a "DEBUGDATA" command.
If symbol registration is required could you provide a clear example of how developer symbols should be implemented within the code?
Just performed 10 installs of CS5.5 design Premium on Mac Intel Towers running 10.5.8 and 10.6.8. On three of the machines the PS app in 64-bit mode crashes on launch from the Standard user account. In the Admin account it opens in 64bit mode no problem. In the standard user account if I switch to open in 32-bit mode it opens without issue.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled three times. ( as per Adobe ) There are no third party plug ins, even if there were why would it run in the Admin account?All other Apps in the CS work fine.
I tried browsing my computer for the default program to open .psd files, but when I double click photoshop cs6, it doesn't show up in the list of default programs. Photoshop can open .psd files automatically in other user accounts, but not on mine.

I can log in to any other account on my computer and it opens just fine. have to sign out go to another user account edit then log out and then back in to my normal admin account
