I imported a vector image into an existing file. Then I ungrouped the imported image and changed the colors. Now I can want to shift the position and copy the imported image into another design.
Unfortunately when I click on it the image is still broken apart so it selects only the areas the cursor lands on...how do I group it back together so I can move the position of the entire image and copy it into another design?
I am having trouble doing this in my current software, Serif Drawplus, PSE, Photoplus, (I have Gimp but haven't used it ever yet). And I am considering buying X6 for use in other projects. So, can x6 do this in either Photo Paint with a bitmap, or in X6 with a group of Vectors?
I want to wrap a bottle with a logo. The mesh warps aren't working for me in the above applications, and envelope warping will not work either. Transform-Warp is not present in PSE. I mention that because I see a tutorial for PS using that. How would Corel X6 Suite do this? I am considering buying the software once some questions I have about it are cleared up. I wish Corel would make the manual and tutorial videos public. I'd rather download the trial for actually using it rather than trying to see if some feature is present, or a workaround for a feature a competitor has.
I am also hoping to make in this project, some 10-20 different bottles with the logo on, of different sized bottles and different rotations of the bottles. Plan D is acquainting myself with Blender, but lets hope I don't have to go that far!
how to cut out part of an image and completely turn it into something else. So far ive been able to figure out how to outline the image with the pen tool and then select "Vector Mask". Then the background of what i didnt select disappears which is what i want. So then i try to use a gradient to fill in behind what i cut out, and instead the gradient fills in what i cut out. How do i make it fill in behind the cut out instead of inside?

I have traced this image from a Jpeg into a Vector to colour but how can I change the black out lines into other colours. When I right click the mouse with an outline selected the colour appears around the line but there is still a fine black line in the centre of it. I want to change the actual outline into another colour
New to Corel Draw. We just purchased a laser cutter to cut our stencils (we airbrush), but having a VERY hard time figuring out how to prep the vector images. We follow instructions, but it seems to always have a problem. We usually separate layers on photoshop and then trace on Corel so it can be a vector, but it doesn't seem to be working. What is the easiest, most simple way to turn an image into a vector so we can send it to the laser software??? Only doing black and white, one layer at a time.
Just need simple instructions, and most seem to be WAY too complicated or always have some complication. I have watched videos and read instructions, got close, but no cigar. I tried tracing but the image resolution is low and I didn't get acceptable results.
I've also tried tracing the edge with line segments and Bezier curves. But when the lines close a polygon the resulting polygon is not what I expect.
What tools to use to convert it to vectors? I use CorelDraw X3 and PS 5.

View 2 Replies View RelatedImage below, what I want to do is remove the parts of the red logo below the black line. normally I would use the virtual segment delete tool. this is working with the red outer line, but not on the letters. rather than removing the part of the letter below the line, it is removing the whole letter. Also it is leaving a square edge on the line, and not removing it on an angle.

I would like to interconnect the letters, as well as an angel I have made to go above the letters. My question is, how can I join two seperate vector images into one vector image.
