View 3 RepliesI've searched for a way to make a simple, one color image into a vector image. The best thing I've found is a .atn thing fromsPECtre. I've unzipped it but really don't understand photoshop well enough to use it.
I'd like to learn how to actually do it my self. I can easily make the image into a selection, all I need is to make that selection into a solid vector.
How do I do this?
Any way to convert this image to a vector without having to recreate the entire thing. I need to make it so that it can be used like the rest of the logos on this sponsor backI have tried so many different ways but it's just not coming out right. The client doesn't have access to a better copy of the image, and I need to get this to the printer tomorrow.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI am making myself a logo in photoshop. I have made all the letters that will be used, but they are all seperate entities as most of you who have used vectors know. I would like to interconnect the letters, as well as an angel I have made to go above the letters. My question is, how can I join two seperate vector images into one vector image. For example, joining a letter E with a letter D. I wonder if theres a way to do this without having to delete part of each image and then re-draw, which is a pain. Sorry if this isn't really clear, but its hard to explain.

View 3 Replies View RelatedIf I use 2 monitors to display 1 image with the image extending from one monitor into and across the second monitor, can I make a screen shot of the entire image without any break in the middle where it crosses from one monitor to the other? Will it be one continuous screenshot of the entire image, even though the image is displayed on 2 monitors?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am having trouble doing this in my current software, Serif Drawplus, PSE, Photoplus, (I have Gimp but haven't used it ever yet). And I am considering buying X6 for use in other projects. So, can x6 do this in either Photo Paint with a bitmap, or in X6 with a group of Vectors?
I want to wrap a bottle with a logo. The mesh warps aren't working for me in the above applications, and envelope warping will not work either. Transform-Warp is not present in PSE. I mention that because I see a tutorial for PS using that. How would Corel X6 Suite do this? I am considering buying the software once some questions I have about it are cleared up. I wish Corel would make the manual and tutorial videos public. I'd rather download the trial for actually using it rather than trying to see if some feature is present, or a workaround for a feature a competitor has.
I am also hoping to make in this project, some 10-20 different bottles with the logo on, of different sized bottles and different rotations of the bottles. Plan D is acquainting myself with Blender, but lets hope I don't have to go that far!
We have recently updated our office Adobe Creative Suite, and are now using Illustrator CS6 to clean-up hand drawn sketches. When we run any sort of trace on a simple, black and white line drawing, the trace results in a negative image: the white background turns black, and the outline of the sketch is white. We have tried checking the "ignore white" box and several other settings changes. Initially, for our first few times using the new suite this didn't happen:
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a fairly good quality image with black text on a white background and I'm trying to trace it using live trace. I want to be able to manipulate it like normal text would allow you to. The font is a serif font and contains some thinner lines, so whenever I live trace it, it comes up quite uneven and all over the place. I've tried tinkering with the settings but nothing I do really seems to make much difference. My question is, are there any specific settings or modes that are best suited for doing traces of text, or any other methods for that matter? I can't recreate the text using a pen tool - it would take way too long!

View 3 Replies View RelatedI created an image using live trace and saved it as a ".ai" file. I thought that saving it like this would allow to have the same quality in After Effects. However the After Effects image looks pixilated. I am still new to both programs. Attached are two images, one from After Effects and the other from Illustrator.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am currently building a website using photoshop and dreamweaver for a uni project. I am using photoshop to produce the images & text which I then export as JPEG's into the layers in dreamweaver. Obviously as these are only JPEG images, none of the individual text is 'live' within the site, and I cant put in hyperlinks etc.
My question is: is there a way of making the images I create 'live' when they are online, so the end user could copy text from the site, or click on a hyperlink? Either with photoshop or with imageready?
I want to engrave a image from Photoshop and need image to be a vector image .
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a vector image of a jersey and I'm trying to photoshop it onto a fictional character. The problem is that the jersey's arm is vertical. The man's arm that I'm trying to photoshop it onto is bent. I was wondering since the jersey is a vector image, is there any possible way I can manipulate the sleeves of the jersey to a bent shape so it can have a more realistic look when I photoshop it onto the man.

I have a jpg file of text characters(attached) and like to:
#get rid of the white background
#change the characters to different color or maybe add texture or shadow
#and convert the image into a vector
any tips on how to do this? I'm still very new at using graphics software. my objective is to use it as a watermark.

I have a logo that I created for test purposes at a lower resolution. Is it possible to take the active selection of the logo and create a vector from it without having to manually trace over it with the pen tool or adobe illustrator (I do not own illustrator). If I could do this within Photoshop that would be my preference.

I have a requirement to take a relatively simple technical line drawing (think circuit diagrams etc) that have been hand drawn and then somehow convert them into a nice sharp and neat diagram that looks like it had been done in illustrator or Visio.
I know that image editing tools such as Illustrator allow you to "vectorize" a bitmap image but the thing I don't about is whether any of the applications can automatically straighten and correct lines and give me a "nicer" picture as a result?
Does anyone know if this sort of thing is even possible?
I use photoshop 3.0 and am familiar with basic functions, but now i need to create a vector image - this is for uploading to a t shirt design web site. The writing needs to be in Russian, which i have successfully cut and pasted into photoshop.

Live Composition Preview Window...Vector graphics are blurred even though I have the 'Continuously Rasterize' button selected. I’m using the latest After Effects and Illustrator. Other compositions within the same ae project are all 100%, then when I started another new composition, the graphics are blurred, making it incredibly difficult to work out what I’m animating as I need to zoom in and it blurs a lot. It is not a RAM issue with the MAC. was going great creating motion graphics, then all of a sudden his happens and I’ve tried everything.
