but i am not sure how i go about saving it so it is just the blak and white file??
Working in CS5.I have a vector image that I need to resize and save as a .png. I first create an artboard to the correct size I need (55x20 pixels), shrink my vector image to fit and then export to .png using the artboard as my boundaries (so that I get the correct size).Problem is, the resulting file is not 55x20, it is 229x83 (when I open in Photoshop). I can't figure out why the file is not saving to the correct size.
I have also tried opening the file in photoshop and resizing down, but that doesn't work either. My image becomes very distorted.I don't generally work in pixels or pngs...what would be the best program and process to do this. It doesn't seem like it should be so difficult, but for some reason it is!
I am making myself a logo in photoshop. I have made all the letters that will be used, but they are all seperate entities as most of you who have used vectors know. I would like to interconnect the letters, as well as an angel I have made to go above the letters. My question is, how can I join two seperate vector images into one vector image. For example, joining a letter E with a letter D. I wonder if theres a way to do this without having to delete part of each image and then re-draw, which is a pain. Sorry if this isn't really clear, but its hard to explain.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am having trouble doing this in my current software, Serif Drawplus, PSE, Photoplus, (I have Gimp but haven't used it ever yet). And I am considering buying X6 for use in other projects. So, can x6 do this in either Photo Paint with a bitmap, or in X6 with a group of Vectors?
I want to wrap a bottle with a logo. The mesh warps aren't working for me in the above applications, and envelope warping will not work either. Transform-Warp is not present in PSE. I mention that because I see a tutorial for PS using that. How would Corel X6 Suite do this? I am considering buying the software once some questions I have about it are cleared up. I wish Corel would make the manual and tutorial videos public. I'd rather download the trial for actually using it rather than trying to see if some feature is present, or a workaround for a feature a competitor has.
I am also hoping to make in this project, some 10-20 different bottles with the logo on, of different sized bottles and different rotations of the bottles. Plan D is acquainting myself with Blender, but lets hope I don't have to go that far!
I am finishing a poster, fully created in shapes in illustrator. Due to customers request I was forced to do some color corrections so I decided to use my PhotoShop CS6.I imported vector files into my photoshop as smart objects, added some adjustments layer, few vector masks and I changed their layer style to get the finest result.
When I finished my work in PS I tried to save this as .pdf In my .psd there are shape layers, some groups and some adjustments layers with layer masks and changed Layer style to "color", one text layer and 3 smart objects imported from illustrator.I want to keep my image scaleable for bigger resolutions.
So I was trying to save this file as Adobe PDF but I found that whole graphic in exported .pdf was converted to raster, besides the border, cut marks and that one text layer.I think that this is because of smart objects. (saving as .pdf without them works pretty good)
Is somehow possible to save this document from photoshop as vector.pdf? or is possible to import group of shapes from illustrator to photoshop as shapes in photoshop? no as smart objects.
I am running out of time so I saved it as high res .Jpeg, but I want to know if this is somehow possible for future use or If I have to rather avoid that solution. Will be included .pdf file as raster? or it will stay scaleable even with smart objects in it?
I did that tutorial but didnt' create a "layer set" in the beginning. how do you save this?

View 2 Replies View RelatedAfter designing, i try to save the image by clicking save as, but it does not trigger any thing. even if i click save alone. it's still the same thing. Until i try to close the interface, then it will pop-up a dialog message that do i want to save before i close or not, then i click yes but it does not display png, jpeg and the likes as file extension. it only displays psd and some uncommon extensions.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a vector image of a jersey and I'm trying to photoshop it onto a fictional character. The problem is that the jersey's arm is vertical. The man's arm that I'm trying to photoshop it onto is bent. I was wondering since the jersey is a vector image, is there any possible way I can manipulate the sleeves of the jersey to a bent shape so it can have a more realistic look when I photoshop it onto the man.

I have a jpg file of text characters(attached) and like to:

#change the characters to different color or maybe add texture or shadow
#and convert the image into a vector
any tips on how to do this? I'm still very new at using graphics software. my objective is to use it as a watermark.

I have a logo that I created for test purposes at a lower resolution. Is it possible to take the active selection of the logo and create a vector from it without having to manually trace over it with the pen tool or adobe illustrator (I do not own illustrator). If I could do this within Photoshop that would be my preference.

I have a requirement to take a relatively simple technical line drawing (think circuit diagrams etc) that have been hand drawn and then somehow convert them into a nice sharp and neat diagram that looks like it had been done in illustrator or Visio.
I know that image editing tools such as Illustrator allow you to "vectorize" a bitmap image but the thing I don't about is whether any of the applications can automatically straighten and correct lines and give me a "nicer" picture as a result?
Does anyone know if this sort of thing is even possible?

View 2 Replies View RelatedSaving an image in Photoshop CS6 as .eps is actually True Vector quality?
Will the images I save as .eps be totally scaleable without losing any quality?
If not, is there anything I can do to the (tons) of images I have already made to make them not lose quality?
I tried opening a .eps file/image in Inkscape which as I understand is a vector program but the open file doesn't recognize the .eps files.
The .eps seems file w/in Ps itself but now I'm wondering about other programs. I'm so new I don't even know if that makes an sense.
Also, if Ps .eps files tend to lose scalable quality then is there a way in which I can create images as true vector or as images that won't lose their quality? Do I need an other program?
If i have a text layer manipulated in photoshop. how can i save it as vector image to import in swift 3d
when i choose export to eps and import in swift 3d it give me an error massege that the file does not contain outline or filled shapes
how can i change the text in phtoshop to vector shape.
I've searched for a way to make a simple, one color image into a vector image. The best thing I've found is a .atn thing fromsPECtre. I've unzipped it but really don't understand photoshop well enough to use it.
I'd like to learn how to actually do it my self. I can easily make the image into a selection, all I need is to make that selection into a solid vector.
How do I do this?
I've got a vector image which I need to make look like it is on the front of a beer glass. (Raised glass effect which I plan to do in bevel and emboss)
My problem is, I want the vector image to look as if it is really on the glass, so I need it to curve with the pint glass on the bulbous lip that goes around near the top, Any idea how I can get PhotoShop to simulate this effect?
