CorelDRAW X5 :: Angular Dimension Format
Apr 10, 2012The only formats I see for angular dimensions in the toolbox are degrees, °, radians, gradians. Is there any way set angular units be deg-min-sec (° ' ") format?

View 4 Replies View Relatedis there any way I can place dimension on drawing that would be in dual units (in decimal degrees and in deg min sec)?
I did not find this possible so far.
I have a block of a guide sign with directions and azimuth angles. I made arrows rotatable and angles were changing ok. But when I try to rotate an arrow into zero position, dimension shows 180. I need the dimension to show 0 degree. How can I do it?
And I can’t make angular dimension show degrees greater than 180 even if I specify vertex – after rotation angle shifts on the other side. I gave up and used back azimuth.
And I can't make an attachment: "The contents of the attachment doesn't match its file type"?
I am trying to put an angular dimension from a hole to a slot positioned planes 90degrees to each other. How can I achieve this? Typically, it depends on how it is put into the ipt file but I didn't know how else to put the slot in therefore only a point was put in at that angle.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to figure out how to accurately display the current rotation angle of an object in DRAW X6. Based on my drawing precision settings, the angular accuracy is there, but it's not properly displayed.
IE - If I type in 5.05 deg rotation, it will DISPLAY 5.1 but will actually be 5.05.
Is there a way to update the display to show more than one decimal place for rotation?
I have a huge problem with my Autocad 2013 for MAC, everything is running nice and steady except for one detail, everytime I open the dimension style format to make a new dimension style, autocad freezes (only autocad, rest of my mac keeps working normally) and I cant work anymore, I have to force quit the program and re-open it, but the dimension style I created gets lost. is there something i can do? i already tried by uninstalling it and reinstalling it and this problem doesnt go.
also im new in this discussion groups so if this topic doesnt belongs here let me know before deleting it so i can put it where it belongs
I am new to AutoCad, and I'm sure this is a simple question. How do I put radius dimension in fraction format?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am using the following in the text override field for a dimension:
3'-8S1/2"
And this creates 3'-8 1/2" with the fraction as a horizontal format. What I want is a diagonal format for the fraction. What is the proper syntax for this.
If you can make lisp for angular dimension when i have profiles x scale 1-500 and y scale 1-50 and i want when draw angular dimension take scale 1:1 x & y.
View 2 Replies View RelatedHow do you export from coreldraw to illustrator without it cutting up compound paths?
Currently if you have text that has been converted to curves, all of the letters with counters (or holes in them like O, P, B etc) get cut in half. Surely there's a way to stop this?
I am trying to export file to CMX format, but the software won't accept it, probably because X6 is too new. I used to be able to import, but I do not remember if it was X4 or X5.
I chose "Save As", and in there I can only use old format if I am saving as CDR, but as CMX I won't get any option about saving in old format.
(btw, the other software ONLY accept CMX and the very much inferior WMF..)
When exporting a graphic in a TGA file format, you have a choice of either "normal" or "enhanced". What is the difference between the two.
EDIT: I guess my real question is. Is there any "visual" advantage of "enhanced" versus "normal", or is it just "unseen technical data"?
Resolve the problem with export to PLT format? Since one day my X5 starts export objects larger than they are to PLT. Ex. text which should be 200mm wide is in PLT 250mm.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm having trouble displaying the units for dimensions. The issue is with the suffix.
When I add the " suffix to indicate inches autocad also adds the suffix to the angular dimension.
2 questions...
Is there a way to suppress the suffix for angular dimensions? Do I need to have a dimension style just for angular dimension?
I do not want to dimension in architectural because I don't want the dimensions to change to feet and inches.
Is it possible to have text below the angular dimension line like you can with most other dimensions. The attached pic shows my 10 dimension with the type. Under the line and my 30 dimension with type. Under the line but the type. Under the 30 is just a text box I eye-balled in to place it is not attached to the dimension. I looked in the styles editor but could not find the setup option I need.
View 8 Replies View RelatedIt is likely that I don't use dimensioning often enough to get familiar but I think X6 is harder to use than previous versions. I do like being able to pick various arrowhead styles or tickmarks. Still trying to figure out why dimension numbers are blue and how to change that back to black and resize.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhat is the best way to measure angular displacement on a FEA simulation?
A simple example is described here: The screen shot shows a long rigid body (left) mounted on a bracket (far right). The legs of the bracket are fixed on the right. There is a down force on the left. The goal is to measure vertical displacement on the left. All of the vertical displacement comes from flexing at the bracket, so this can be considered an angular displacement.
Is there a way to measure this vertical displacement without the long rigid body or it's mesh elements?
Or is there a way to turn off the mesh elements on the rigid body? I want to eliminate the unnecessary FEA computations to speedup the simulations.
Iam worked at a workshop that we cut and engrave metals sheets like stainless steel and copper and am using corel draw X5 for editing , drawing and exporting cut orders to cutting machine .
I exchange cdr files with other workshops around me that they use earlier versions of corel draw like ver 11. Did theirs a way that i can save all cdr files in corel draw X5 in ver 11 with out choosing in every time i save the file version option ?

I have tried to use the Macro recorder to record the keystrokes as I get the dimensions from the top of the rectangle to each line of text & from the edge of the triangle to each line of text. Unfortunately the recorder could not record.
Is it possible to design a macro which can be used to get the dimensions as required ?
