I want to know why CorelDraw won't let me select several curves at a time and break them apart simultaneously. When I select more than one (by marquee or shift key) it greys out the "break apart" command, and Control-K won't work either. I did find a work-around macro in an old post, but I don't understand why the CorelDraw programmers turn off the break-apart command for multiple selections.
View 7 RepliesI set a snap for ease of use, e.g. if my intended output scale is 1:50 I will set my snap to 25, this makes drawing lines fast and simple.
When I used the break command in previous versions (I skipped 2011) the break would keep the snap on so I could break either side of a line with a perfect unit gap.
In 2012 when I select the first point it disregards the snap and just puts the break wherever I select on the line meaning the gap is not neat. Is there anyway to put this back the way it was?
For example, if I select an item, how can I somehow curve it to my wanting like when using the line tool given when you download Paint.net?

View 3 Replies View RelatedIm trying to create some code for another user which takes the pre-selected drawing curve and retrieves the feature information from the model. More specifically, I want to pre-select the drawing curve of a hole, and then run the rule. The rule will take this selected drawing curve and get its model. Then from here I'm expecting I'll be able to use the Hole Feature classes in the API to retrieve the wanted information.
I've tried using SelectSet.Item(1by tut cannot seem to be able to set it as a drawing curve (or anything for that matter).
I've been wondering, is there some trick to starting 2 Bezier lines at the same start- and end-points? Or do I have to eyeball it? Can I reactivate an old, previously selected line after something else has been selected? Is it possible to keep several lines selected in separate layers apart from each other?

The model has a layer called sheets that has 17 rectangles in many orientations which overlap and cover the data i wish to print. There is a layout tab called "Sheet 2 to 17" which show page 17 with a tempalte when the pointer is over the tab similar to Windows 7 Aero, but if you open the layout the page space is blank. I'm not familiar with the use of a layer to break the drawing into multpile overlapping sheets and my end goal is to print the model as the 17 defined sheets on 11 x 17 paper.

I have created a symbol in CorelDraw X5 on a Mac using parallels.
The symbol is on a layer which is not locked, and the object which has become a symbol was grouped before I made it into a symbol. The boundary marks changed from black to blue.When I try to select Edit/Symbol/Break link, the Break link command is greyed out.
I need to be able to take a design that is in outline format such as this for an example:

Converting it to an outline is really easy and I have no problems with that. However, I need each individual piece of the design to be separated out as an individual object as certain pieces would get cut out of different materials.
What is the easiest way to convert this design from one big outline design, to individual components?
I am trying to use the break apart blend tool and every time it says corel has a problem & shuts down my X4?

So in this script Shapes(2) is the contoured object that I want to change the outline of. Im guessing however it is only called shapes(2) because there was only 2 objects in the document when I wrote this script, (starting with one). In fact, if i start with a document with more than just one object, the outline change doesnt work.
I need to either leanr how to get a count of all objects in the document and assume the highest number will be the last created object and will thus be the one I need, or perhaps there is a way to instantiate the contuored shape when i call ActiveSelection.Seperate. something like

OriginalSelection + myContouredObject = ActiveSelection.Seperate
I'm sure the above wont work, just trying to be a bit more explicit about what im trying to do.

when I switch tab once at the end of the line sits the line break outside of the paragraph text frame..The background color so then runs out of the frame.A wish at left line intent (or right) it should be possible to fill these also with the background color and a function that assigns every second line is a background color..

By this I mean I have file with 2-12 curve layers - I wanted to 'merge' the curves so that I can end up with a single curve with the attributes of many. Maybe is there a script that would do this?
I'm trying to get these shapes to curve up, like a smile, and then curve down, like a frown, as the word changes to "misery." (The middle object stays in place, the objects on the outside rotate upwards and downwards)

As my screenshot. if i have 2 objects. 2 UVs, when I selected both and go into texture editor and just try to select one object's UV. I can't translate,rotate or scale. If I select both object's UV , it will move both together. Or individually will work. But it wasn't like that before. I tried restoring preference default still won't work.
Is there a way to use the curve driven (rectangular) pattern referencing two tangent curves (an arc and a tangent line). I'd like to be able to create this pattern of slots in one pattern, otherwise I'll have to make two cut features at each end and use one pattern for the straight and another for the curve.

I'm making an animated GIF, and what I want to do is overlay each layer of the animation with a layer of text. I know the hard and long way by creating a copy of the text layer and merging it with each and every layer of the animation, but is any faster way of doing this?

I'm using LR3.6. Haven't upgraded to 4.1 yet. I created a PS droplet that I want to use in my LR Externa Editor. Everything works fine as far as calling the droplet from LR. However, when I select multiple images in LR, then go to external editor and select "Edit In <droplet name>", wait for the "What do Edit" dialogue box, select "Edit a copy with LR adjustments" and hit "edit", it only takes the very first highlighted image in the selection into PS to run the droplet/actions. Even if I just choose the droplet name as an external editor preset (instead of the "Edit in" option), it still only applies to the first image in the highlighed selection.
On occassions I get lucky and get it to work for multiple images but I can never get it to work again. For instace, I tried it from the Library module (instead of the develop module) and it worked flawlessly. On the next set of images, I could not get it to work again.
I really need to be able to run this over night. By the way, I know that I can use the droplet on Export, but I really want to round trip my images from LR to PS and back into LR without having to Export, run droplet and reimport.
