CorelDRAW X4 :: Programming Printer To Use Only 1 Ink Cartridge
Mar 29, 2011
I have a Epson Stylus Photo 1400( 6 color) printer. I would like to know if I can program the printer to use only 1 ink cartridge or the one I want to be use. Since I only use black ink for positives, I would like to replace all the cartridges with black ink and when one gets low I can switch to the next full cartridge.
Methods of which I chose acToolbarDockFloating all nice but because floating hasn’t been saved in a workspace (yet) means that the toolbar is placed in the top left corner. To cut a series of tests and playing round with lisp and scripts and the likes I'm after a way of simply forcing the new toolbar in the dead centre of the screen using VBA.
I have googeld and the likes but cant find anything that resembles like
ObjToolbr.Dock acToolbarDockFloating 200, 200
(Presuming the location of the toolbar I want to force is 200 by 200)
I having used 3D modeling software and Auto-cad in the past, I know how to design complex models using the features provided in the tool-bars but I have never even heard about programming using things like VBA until randomly running into it on the internet.what exactly is the use of programming on software like auto-cad and solid-edge? I mean I understand it will change the part to a text file but what is the use? can you design/edit a 3D model using just programming? Do mechanical design engineers need to know this? (even if not I still want to learn but just need to know if it is compulsory) What is the latest/best programming language used for programming in design software because I heard VBA is slowing down.
I have 17 printers installed. all but 2 use match orientation. The Canon W6400PG and the MP 5500 use printer orientation. Is there a way to change those 2 to match all the others that work just fine? The default is the HP LaserJet 1200 Series PCL 5.
Current System: i3 3.07ghz, 3gb ram, Windows 7 32 bit with all updates and X6
I'm trying to sort out an issue with the printer marks being set as black (K) in the print separations dialog.
What I'm trying to do is to print separations to pdf to send out to be printed in plates, for this to work I have to set the option "print separations in color" to true, so that the screen angle does not get screwed when the plates are printed. Now my issue here is that all works well just the printer marks are not in the color respective to their plate, they all are black. This will result in the plates other than the black one to not have any printermarks.
Now if there is a way to say set them to registration color or something so they are then printed right it would be great, otherwise I would need to se printer marks by hand which is a bit of a pain.
I have a new HP Laserjet M712 B&W printer to replace my aging HP 5000 printer. I'm using X3 & X5 and have installed the HP Universal Postscript driver. The printer is Postscript 3 emulation capable. I have all the settings in the print dialog of Corel the same as the settings from my HP5000 printer, but the new printer fails to print halftones or "dots". The halftone areas are still printing as a solid although I have my screen frequency at 45lpi. Is this a Corel issue or is it a Windows 7 problem, or some kind of user error.
When I try to import a pdf file that I have scanned with my printer, corel X6 says either "file is corrupt" or something about not enough memory to perform the action. I have 2 different work stations with 2 separate printers (both the same brand and model) and have tried scanning and importing and get the same message from both now.
It always worked before. I can open the pdf document in Adobe and it is fine, so I don't think the file is corrupt, rather it is something in corel that is stopping it from importing. There are no updates outstanding for my computer.
Is there a good (better?) way to find a local printer? I am just starting a desktop publishing business, part time, out of my home and I would like to find a good local printer in the Calgary, Alberta area. Do I just go thru the yellow pages and try my luck?
Any solutions to automate file imposition and creating custom printer marks in CorelDraw. In addition to some of the standard kinds of marks (crop marks, registration marks, etc.), we also use a variety of custom marks we currently have to create and manually place in our output files (marks needed for our Zund G3 M-2500 digital flatbed cutter, etc.)
I'm seeing some sort of plugin for CorelDraw that automates file imposition and adding printer marks (including the addition of custom marks that we could create and tell it to include along with some parameters -how far from the edge of the document, etc.)
I have noticed that when i make changes to line widths in a drawing using the outline pen, the printed output does not change until i make at least a change of .005". changing it by less than this only changes it on the display.
I have a problem printing bitmap images on CorelDRAW documents in my work computer (Windows Vista Home Premium 32 Bit). I have a HP 3535 inkjet printer, and It was prinitng normally for some time, but one day the printer suddenly stopped printing images from the CorelDRAW documents and only prints text and vector images. The same happens in Photo-Paint, it simply prints in blank.
I Tried to restore the program to default settings using the F8 command with no luck. This really annoying and I need to print bitmaps for my work. This happens in all my documents...
I was working on an order form design the other day and my boss said we need to fill in some of the empty space, so I suggested we use a dot pattern-esque type watermark of the organization's logo that the order form was for.
For some reason when I sleceted the logo I couldnt access the change brightness contrast option in effects. So I simply made a light gray rectangle, placed it over the logo, clicked on the rectangle with the transparency tool, changed it to uniform, and changed the mode to mulitply or add or something like that. It looked great on screen, but when i sent it to the laser printer with some post script LPI or dot pattern options for the lighter grays, nothing printed out at all from underneath the rectangle.
I tried it through our copying machine, and it worked, but the copying machine has no built in halftone effects for grayscale.
I just upgraded to X5 and now suddenly I am having difficulty printing to my dell 3110cn laser printer. I get the error, "Unable to access printer driver. Try removing and reinstalling this printer driver". If I click OK I get the error a couple of more times followed by "Internal application error." Then Corel Draw crashes. My PC is running Windows 7 64 bit.
I have tried re-installing the printer driver with the latest from dell and uninstalling and re-installing corel draw, but nothing has worked. I am about ready to go back to X4.
Running Canon 2620Using Post Script driver with good colour matching.Using CorelDraw X5 sp 3 and all my fonts print out really heavy on the black, they almost look Bold. Text is not cmyk, just pure black.Converting to curves or exporting as eps and importing doesn't resolve it either. Seems I have have tried all settings. Text prints fine in other applications. Also prints fine in CorelDraw x3.
Which folder contains the printers that CorelDraw X6 recognizes? I'm trying to install Epilog Laser drivers on a new Win8 laptop, and somehow I have duplicate copies of the same "printer/laser engraver." I'm starting the driver instalation over, and want to remove the duplicate printers in CorelDraw. I've cleaned out all printers in control panel/devices and printers, as well as print drivers. But the duplicate printers remain in Corel X6. I've looked in each Corel folder on my computer it seems, and can't locate it. Would it by chance be a registy file I need to edit
Run msinfo32, summary > components > printing select the printer to be deleted then file > print, select printer > right click > delete
I'm currently using AutoCad Electrical 2010 and we just got a new printer. Is there any way to map all of my electrical drawngs to that printer without opening each drawing and selecting the new printer?
When i take bw laser print from corel draw, the output is not pure black. I tried using the the 'Preserve Pure Black' setting in corel draw. But it turns out to have some adverse effect while converting image from one format to the other (like rgb to cmyk) bitmaps, the black shade on the image looked washed out in multicolor offset print.
what should i do now to get pure black output from bw laser printer without using the preserve pure black setting.
As indicated by title I have just switched to a newer computer from a system using XP and corel draw 8 to a new system using Win7 and corel draw X3 and using the same printer (buisness inkjet 2230). I have never had any problems printing before but now every time i print my pages are offset to the right. The only solution I have found is that I can change the printer page (in print preview) to the left. But though my many attempts to do this works fine, saving it as a default just won't work. After saving as default next time I open a document it switches to old layout. I have even tried going to print defaults folder, deleting all corel's defaults, and then saving and somehow it just reverts back to regular settings. make life simpler than changing print area every time?
Recurring problem i'm having with bitmaps im trying to export to our large format printer. Some bitmaps are coming up with a grey type filter or lens that corel is automatically putting over my photo.
When i export this' filter' remains on the picture.
If i hit 'edit bitmap' the photo comes up normal with all the colours as it should be. Hit 'save' and it goes straight back to having a grey filter over it? Its only with some photos and the other ones are the same profile on the same page? It seems to be always the physically largest one in size (not dpi) I have tried converting to a cmyk bitmap instead of RGB.
Printing a black and white layout to my HP LaserJet 4000 produces an image that appears to be grayscale instead of solid black. In other words, my text, line border I've put around the layout and graphics (for the most part), all appear about 70-80% black instead of SOLID black. Small text doesn't appear to be nearly as sharp because it looks like a halftone instead solid black. On one layout I just printed, the entire thing appears halftoned except for one vector graphic that did print in solid black. Strange. I figured I have something set incorrectly in the software or printer. Has to be the CDR X6 software though because all other programs output just fine.
