I have a 4 view drawing that I need to cut out each view and save each to another application. I think this should be fairly easy but I can't figure it out. Did it about 6 months ago after a large hassle and now I can't get it.

I have a question regard removing the outline from a portion of an object or making that portion invisible and still fill the object in its original shape Say for instance I have a circle or a rectangle and I converted them to a curve. I want to be able to make part of the outline invisible and still fill it in its original shape.

I have 24 layers in my current design and am almost finished. But 15 min. ago I did hear that they changed the size, it was vertical to large and I have to cut out a piece.
Is it posible that I remove a piece somewhere in all layers and keep the drawing, created with the rec-tools and others, correct on their layers? Most of them are already rasterized.

The aim is to list all block attributes if the 'blockName' exists in drawing and return True afterwards. Oppositely it should return me False and print nothing to Editor if blockName does not exist.
How to remove a portion from this part. I need the beige colored "lump" removed and it needs to be smooth with the other suffaces.
I can copy the surfaces and then do a patch, but the new surface does not look right. It has a buldge in it.
Also tried "Delete face" which I use all the time, but it does not work here.
I realize this will be a ridiculously basic question for most of you since I'm very new to Paint Shop Pro, but I've been trying all sorts of tools today trying to find the most efficient way to do something.
I sell clothing online, and I'm looking for the best way to quickly remove the price from an image of the retail tag. Everything I've tried seems to be tedious, so I don't think I've got the right tool so far. I just want to be able to do what was called a "Smart Erase" in my old Digital Image Pro program -- I simply drew a quick outline around the area to be erased, and then clicked on the erase button, and the price was gone off the tag (it inserted the same background area there).
is there a method to project the sketch onto the part so that i can then remove 2mm of that shape from the part....?

I've just started learning AutoCAD and came across my first obstacle I don't know how to work around. Here's what I'm trying to do.
I draw two lines and two circles and then trim the excessive parts as in the picture (in general it can be an area composed of various types of lines, straight lines, arc, and likely with rounded corners).
Then extrude to the height 2. This makes 4 surfaces (green). Now I build a solid 'around' the surfaces. In this example I draw a rectangle and extrude to the height 1 (red). And my question is: how do I remove the part of the solid that's enclosed within the green surfaces? Subtraction doesn't work as I don't subtract solid. Slicing doesn't work either as it's more than one surfaces. For the same reason I can't turn it into a solid.

I have a jpeg with a white background and solid colored clipart image. I need to remove the colored part of the jpeg image with magic wand in illustrator cs6 and make it a vector image. The magic wand doesn't seem to do anything in illustrator. I did it in Photoshop and saved it as a PNG with trnsprnt background opened it up in illustrator and it was all jagged. It is such a simple image, only two colors, blue on white.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI replaced a part in an assembly with a new part number, it shows the new part number in the browser. but when I switched from model view to Vault view, the old part number still shows there. I checked in and checked out the model assembly file, it did not work to remove the old part number from vault view. I also checked the BOM, the old part number is not in the BOM.
How can I remove the old part number from vault view? will it cause problem in the exporting BOM text file?
We have just upgraded Autocad from 2008 to 2014. Most of our drawing have an embeded VBA content in them. When we open the drawings we get a notice to "Convert, Download or Continue". We know what this OLD content is and wish to remove it completely. We would rather not download the VBA modules, for this will remove the warning all together.
Is there a way to remove the VBA content?

While drawing with a tool, normally you have:
1. the brush shape2. the mouse pointer
3. a little image representing the tool in use.
Is it possible to disable both 2 and 3?
When I use quick select, I can see that there are map features listed in my drawings. When I try to select these features it either says they have been selected but they aren't actually selected, or the autocad will crash forcing me to start over. How can I removed these features (which do not actually appear in the drawing) from the drawing. So many of my files seem to have this problem.

After I explode them, all kinds of new entities appear making the problem worse. There has to be a better way. I've tried bursting, but - same effect. On another note, my office is trying to move us to Revit, which appears to have a ridiculously steep learning curve.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have drawings I reuse for different designs. I sometimes insert a parameter value from a part into a drawing dimension for different reasons. When I copy these drawings and no longer reference that particular part, the dimensions in question get deleted by turning off the "Preserve Orphan Annontations", but the fact that the dimension that referenced the parameter value is deleted does not affect the link, and the drawing tells me there are still unresolved parts! Is there someway to remove these references from the drawing? I can write a macro if I have to, just not sure if there is some other way to do this, or even if a macro can do this? I can apparently just pick some other part in the job that doesn't even have that parameter and the unresolved warning goes away, but is that sufficient? I would think an option in the resolve file dialog should let you delete the reference instead? Using IV2012.

I was wondering if it's possible to have the complete design of a machine in Autocad? What I mean is: design every part to the correct scale, and then generate "views" for each part as needed (with measurements, projections, sections), in different sheets. Maybe even mount the machine fully and explode it.
I've seen the Sheet Sets, Flatshot and Sectionplane commands but I'm not sure how to use them.
I was just wondering as to whether its possible to keep the checkered base which you get when you remove part of an image or have it transparent to stay in the created image.

So I made a shop drawing of an assembly, which is very complex and took a great deal of time to complete. It has 3 sheets and a bunch of different views and information already on the drawing.
Now the thing is I took the assembly and made it an iassembly; but I did this in another file so I wouldnt screw up all the work I did before. Now I realize that I dont have the links to the shop drawing that I wish I did.

I have rather large blueprint that is black and white. Their is some noise around some of the black lines / text / etc on the drawing that I want to get rid of as well as get rid of the white back round all together (which I am hoping will reduce the file size a bit).

I have tried making a copy of the original parts drawing and then replacing the model that is referenced in the drawing but that just gets me a drawing with a bunch of pink dimensions and I have to drag all the dimension points to reattach them.
