Is there a way to select and remove all hatch from a drawing via macro? Bare in mind I'm on Acad LT so lisp no good for me. This includes associated hatch but need border lines to remain.

I have the following code to delete all hatch in a drawing. At the end of the command there is a notice that all hatch have been eliminated.
However, the last message displayed is: "Hatch boundary associativity removed".

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to use the hatch command on a drawing. Everything seems to work fine, but when I hit enter after having used the hatch command, selected pick points etc. nothing happens on the drawing. There are no error messages.
I can use hatch without problems on other drawings so I suspect it has something to do with the drawing or I've overlooked a setting or two.
I made a sketch attached to a drawing view, in it made a hatch. I closed the sketch and the file.
Opened again, after days, activated the sketch, selected the hatch, it turned red, pressed delete but it didn't disappear. Also on the right click there is no delete option.
When i select the hatch and it turns red, when i press delete or right click it turns green.
It is strange that when the sketch is closed and i select it in the browser i see the other lines of the sketch in red, but not the hatch.
I have just made an Hatch ANSI32 on my drawing. This has a set of 2 lines each, but I would like to have 4 lines set.

View 9 Replies View RelatedHatch is not showing up on my drawing anymore. I use hatch command, pick area, pattern, color, scale etc and then when I press enter or preview nothing happens. Hatch works on my layouts though but not in model view.
Before all that happened, AutoCAD crashed and stopped working so I had to force close it.
What do I do now? How can I make hatch work again?
I'm using AC 2010 mac version.
I opened a drawing that I had not opened in over a month originally created in AutCAD 2011, and now using 2012. It appears only some of the hatch patterns that I created are now duplicated, and in some cases up to 17 times! When I select the pattern it doesn't show that there are multiple hatches underneath, but when selected it shows in the properties box All(2) or more. One of my patterns was scaled down and rotated 90 degrees and because when I select it it's showing 10 entities selected I cannot scale it back or rotate it without deleting and re-hatching. The .dwg is pretty complex so doing this for every hatch that shows multiple would be very tedious.

I tried to open it as a dwg file as well, but it didn't work.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to hatch floor patterns in suits. I draw a pline aroudn perimeter. There are a couple of problems.
First, when I do a hatch by selecting the pline ("object"), it doesn't detect islands, such as our room tag. This is likely because the hatch is over an xref (the suite is an xref, room tag and pline are not), and hatches don't seem to like xrefs.
Next option is to hatch by "pick points". When I do that, and select a point on the floor of the suite, all of a sudden an old xref or xclip appears in 2 locations, and the hatch boundary takes the lines from that new xref into consideration. The crazy thing is that this xref does not exist in any form in the drawing. I have purged/audited the drawing, and the drawing no longer even exists in our computer.
Basically for example (to make this easy to understand) I've got 4 squares with hatches inside and im trying to select one single hatched area in one of the squares (and delete it). But upon selecting it it's selecting the hatches in the other 3 squares (as they were added at the same time). I've carried out a few searches in google etc and experimented with "pickstyle" but with no avail, also I've looked at groups but there are none in the drawing(so I can't ungroup).
I can do it (which I've just realised) by deselecting the boundaries in "edit hatch" but just wondered if there was a quicker way?
Using ISO.idw template I created into a sheet a Sketch which contains a hatch. Now I want to delete that hatch and I don't find anywhere how to delete it.
The second problem is this: I want to create in multiple sheets the same drawing but with small differences. How to copy a drawing from a sheet to another sheet. I press right click on the first sheet and i press Copy but there's no Paste button.
How to access the color for a particular hatch within a drawing using iLogic.
I would like to color the hatching for parts based on paramaters besides material.
ie.
Purchased parts = Green Hatch
Refrence = Grey Hatch
I would hope one could loop through the views looking for hatches, and once found, check the part they are associated with, then based on an "if then, change the hatch color and move on to the next pattern.
I am unable to fill objects with any sort of hatch in my current drawing. Other drawings are fine, but in this one, nothing will hatch, either form the tool palettes option or from the hatch menu.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWe have just upgraded Autocad from 2008 to 2014. Most of our drawing have an embeded VBA content in them. When we open the drawings we get a notice to "Convert, Download or Continue". We know what this OLD content is and wish to remove it completely. We would rather not download the VBA modules, for this will remove the warning all together.
Is there a way to remove the VBA content?

When I use quick select, I can see that there are map features listed in my drawings. When I try to select these features it either says they have been selected but they aren't actually selected, or the autocad will crash forcing me to start over. How can I removed these features (which do not actually appear in the drawing) from the drawing. So many of my files seem to have this problem.

After I explode them, all kinds of new entities appear making the problem worse. There has to be a better way. I've tried bursting, but - same effect. On another note, my office is trying to move us to Revit, which appears to have a ridiculously steep learning curve.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have drawings I reuse for different designs. I sometimes insert a parameter value from a part into a drawing dimension for different reasons. When I copy these drawings and no longer reference that particular part, the dimensions in question get deleted by turning off the "Preserve Orphan Annontations", but the fact that the dimension that referenced the parameter value is deleted does not affect the link, and the drawing tells me there are still unresolved parts! Is there someway to remove these references from the drawing? I can write a macro if I have to, just not sure if there is some other way to do this, or even if a macro can do this? I can apparently just pick some other part in the job that doesn't even have that parameter and the unresolved warning goes away, but is that sufficient? I would think an option in the resolve file dialog should let you delete the reference instead? Using IV2012.

The point variables pt1, pt2....pt8 are all defined. But when I run the code the hatch is not being created? Why?
I have a hatch (ANSI31) enclosed by a closed polyline. Whenever I change the hatch from ANSI31 to GRAVEL some of the hatch shows up outside the boundary. The Polyline consists of both arcs and line segments, and the hatching errors are occurring within the radius of the arc segments. Changing it from Associative to Non Associative makes no change.
I am using AutoCAD 2011.
I am in need of a lisp routine which will automatically pick up all hatch and solid hatch patterns within a drawing and change the colour to colour 254.
